I never understood why R* never released all those animations that are used in their screenshots. wasted potential.

 

 

some time ago i suggested them to release a "snapmatic mode", something like director mode but for to take pics, that allow us to use all those posses that are already in the game, to take cool snapmatics and stuff like that.

im a day 1 player, over 3000 hours of gameplay, i play pretty much everyday and still enjoy my experience.

 

if you need incentives to keep playing, you are not enjoying your experience and should move onto other game that give that dose of dopamine you are obviously not getting from gtao.

I'm one of those individuals that hate the crate drops, so I'll just say that getting special tees from featured playlists for a new dlc is perhaps a better idea(like the manhunt smiley hockey mask or high flyer 'chute), but hey that's just my opinion

This. Not exaggerating, I legitimately have a higher chance of winning something from a Twitch raffle than getting the item from a crate drop without ever getting stressed one bit.

 

 

Why would Rockstar assume people would get excited about pajamas? In what sane world would virtual pajamas ever be a good incentive to keep them playing?

Collectible value. If something is rare, one can't pass the opportunity unless they really couldn't care less. Unless you're talking in general then I dunno lol. Maybe some people are too lazy IRL to change out of their pajamas and want to show that on their Online char as well or something.

Could be all the required scripting. Doing this with a trainer on PC results in things like character floating, having a different hitbox, moving around, etc, often requiring you to noclip the character (or the character's spawned clone for much easier staging) through cars or buildings so that it doesn't look like your character is leaning on an invisible wall or sitting on a floating invisible chair. Also animations keep your weapon (if they're played raw, without running any script that hides your weapon), so if, for example, you're raising hands (like my char in my profile), it will look like your character is holding the weapon despite having an open hand.

 

It's a dead end.

Rockstar doesn't do it: No animations/have to use a trainer on PC.

Rockstar does it: It'll be scripted to kingdom come, leaving you with little freedom to do whatever you want with it on top of only a select few animations out of hundreds - even thousands - available ones.

So, for the last time, recolored pajamas isn't content you should appreciate since there's already dozens of them, and if you kiss Rockstar's ass for that feat, then you're factually a massive moron.

 

I'm not a Day 1, rather a Week 2 player, but just because you played a couple more days earlier than I do doesn't make your claims any more valid than mine. I played for thousands of hours, a lot of them were consecutive and I've played almost daily from the moment Heists released until Lowriders, and anyone would normally get burnt out from encountering the same sh*tty players and same sh*tty gameplay flaws every f*cking day. Tryhards ruining the session for everyone for "teh lels", Passive-toggling Hydra c*nts who get intimidated once someone plays on the same grounds as them, cancerous racers who'd rather leave Catch-Up and play Bumper Cars than have a clean and fun race, hearing nothing but explosions from your garages as you're rearranging your cars, etc.. Knowing you, you're definitely within the tryhard category that toxify the gameplay environment for petty reasons, so of course you don't get "burnt out".

 

Just for the record, I'm currently on break from Online again, and that break started two days ago. And just before you get into an autistic breakdown, I still can visit the Online sub-forum and I can still discuss my views on whatever retarded sh*t Rockstar does with this franchise, don't be a tool like the other people who say "if you no longer play Online, don't comment here anymore!".

Seeing how rockstar treats its playerbase, I'm shocked to see people still hoping rockstar delivers on what little info they have given so far.

 

I really dont understand why these DLCs have to be so secret. You would think telling the playerbase exactly what they are getting in every DLC would lead to more support instead of intentionally keeping the community clueless and guessing and wondering if they should trust the game to be better than before.

 

Rockstar is literally among one of the most unethical game companies I have seen. They take more of an effort stomping out ways to glitch modded money than creating real gaming content with depth and sustenance. Anyone else see a problem with this trend? Or is it just me?

I'm going to take a huge guess and say that you don't know anything about the gaming industry if you think Rockstar is one of "the most unethical video game companies I have seen."

 

EA, Ubisoft, Digital Homicide, Konami, Zynga, Activation, Machine Zone, Gameloft, Nintendo (Depends on the subject), KING, and so, so much more.

 

I think he meant greedy rather than straight up unethical, as aside from really minor stuff (like releasing an expensive super car that's top of the class, then one week later releasing one that's just slightly faster), I don't think they've really committed anything that could be branded as being unethical?

 

As for them being greedy... well, yeah, they're a company, and a certain amount of greed is to be expected. I think the problem is that they're releasing tons of content that the player can spend their money on without nearly enough content to actually play. New cars, clothes and businesses are nice money sinks, sure, but they don't really provide any new gameplay that's different enough from what we already have.

do i care about the pjs by itself? no, but as a collector is nice to see them being released.

No-one is holding a gun to your head, you don't have to log in and get those. You don't even have to return to the game if you don't want to. If some people do appreciate the recolored pajamas, why do you care?

 

They were added with Further Adventures in Finance and Felony, 14 colors. With a template, they could make a reskin in 10 minutes - for 14 pajamas and smoking jackets that'd be a little over two hours worth of work. Could they have spent that development time into better things? Yes, they could. Have they? No. Has it stopped Rockstar from adding more content such as Cunning Stunts, Bikers, Import/Export, Special Vehicle Circuit and soon-to-be Gunrunning afterwards? No.

 

It's not like you have to do anything about it either. You just log in and get your pajama if you choose to, no work required, and if you don't care about pajamas/loungewear in general you will never see the pajamas anyway. I did that kind of comparison before, and I know it's apples to oranges, but it could be worse; Metal Gear Soild V had a few months of events last year that unlocked a swimsuit "camo", and its reskins. Week after week. This game rarely gets any updates and DLC's but when it does, the items in the update are held back for months, even years, and Online DLC's are usually paid. The game is ridden with microtransactions (and in Japan the microtransaction money has an expiration date - if you paid for it and didn't use it before that date it would get permanently removed from your account) and its content was HEAVILY cut before the release. Not just that, to unlock your swimsuit, or its reskins, you had to participate in one of the three weekly events that are rotating each week and are exactly the same each time, earn enough points in the event, redeem the swimsuit blueprint before the event ends, and then wait a full week (7 days!) for it to develop. What Rockstar does is nowhere near as bad as what Konami is up to.

 

Of course, collectors and die-hard fans love the swimsuits and spend time to get them, or rather in GTA's case, collectors and die-hard fans love the pajamas and log in to make sure they get them. To those people it is an added bonus. It's an incentive to log in and play the game. People IRL collect stamps, bottle caps, coins, die-cast car models, etc - each collection features the exact same thing with a different design, and you'll never know when that collection could turn into an advantage. Even if Rockstar added a bunch of t-shirts that said "The player wearing this t-shirt is a steaming pile of sh*t" people would still want to collect them. There are people who proudly wear the Asshole t-shirt after all. It's not going to kill off the entire playerbase.

 

Honestly, there are bigger issues to worry about than 4 days of pajamas in a row.

IMO, no - maybe after gun-running, depending on feedback (all depends on whether R* takes it as 'people want more classic GTA throwbacks!' or 'people want more '80s/'90s exotics!'). But so far, all we've heard about from R* are all the cars/adversary modes we've been getting as part of Special Vehicle Circuit, and then the arms dealing thing.

 

 

Random thing about the PJs, btw (and I'm a little irritated that R* fumbled the announcement, because I missed out on the blue ones for my second character, and they're actually pretty nice, compared to the other colour options ) - the 'pastel green' ones that are coming tomorrow/Monday have ...already been released, as part of the Finance & Felony launch event:
