Did you all worry this much about GTA IV multiplayer when GTA V was announced?

I did not. I drove a motorcycle around the map for an hour or so checking out my favorite locations while listening to my favorite stations and said goodbye to it.

That sounds nice. I may do something similar when I leave GTA Online.

Would be sick to see the RDR2 map get used as the same map but modern time for a Gta V expansion pack like Las Venturas and the deserts between LS and LV

I have about 2.6 million...I dunno, I might be interested in a couple of vehicles of Gun Running, but I will refrain from buying any hangar and bunker if they are not as profitable as I/E

We have room for two "big" updates, I guess. Because RDR2 is scheduled for this fall.

RDR2 is not GTAVI, therefore it has nothing to do with what happens to GTAO.

 

 

But Red Dead Online probably will.

 

Because gtao is going to lose soooo many people to rdo..

I personally don't think Red Dead 2 will have any effect on GTA online.

 

Besides initial sales what could they possibly offer in a Wild West setting that would make players buy Shark Cards. How many different types of Horses could you possibly sell? There's only so many cowboy outfit combinations. I guess they could make Guns ridiculously expensive. What else? Farms? Cows? Gold mining equipment?

 

Red Dead online will be nowhere near the money maker GTA online is.

 

Thats the point. RDR online will never get them as much money as gta online does. There is just a very limited amount of content that they can add and possibly get microtransactions for. The financial success of gta online is based on the ability to add hunderts of vehicles, weapons and clothes.

RDR online will probably be popular for some time, but in the long term it wont be as financial successfull as gta online currently is.

 

For gta online getting updates: Well i dont know what the future holds but i see three options.

Option 1: Updates slow down. We would get less updates per year but they stay the same size that they are right now.

Option 2: The updates get smaller but stay as frequent as they are. Updates would be around the size of the march updates, cars, clothes, guns, adversery modes, thats it.

 

(Both of the above could happen together)

 

Option 3: Everything will stay the same as is. Frequent, decent sized updates.

I think so. People can buy cash cards or play to earn the money to buy the items on the VI map.

Yes you should probably start grinding because we all know 2.6 mil ain't gonna cut it. 2.6 mil might be the price of just one special vehicle that'll be released.

 

I'm more exited about the bunker and the missions attached to it. GTAO has kinda gotten stale for me now. I need more missions !!!

You shoukd have BEEN grinding if you want most or everything from a new full dlc.

 

If i can't bring muh cars i won't be transferring to 6 if that's a thing. I'll start a new character for 6 if I can't bring muh precious cars... spent to many hours building this awe inspiring collection.

Transferring possessions and money in bank, R* wouldn't really want that to happen I think.

 

I mean it will be an MMO, and every MMO aims to keep the player busy grinding for days. That wouldn't really happen if we get to transfer stuff, and start with tons of money in our pocket.

Definitely save up to 10M (at least) for gunrunning. If you make 500K a day by selling top range cars I think you should be alright by the time the update is ready. Here we go with the yacht sales, rockstar is just trying to take your hard earnings so you'll buy a shark card.

30 mil is my minimum. Last time 30 didn't even cover the office garage/vehicle warehouse/special vehicles let alone all the new cars added with I/E. If gun running is going to introduce a bunch of special and weaponized vehicles, 30 should be your minimum IMO..

30 mil is my minimum. Last time 30 didn't even cover the office garage/vehicle warehouse/special vehicles let alone all the new cars added with I/E. If gun running is going to introduce a bunch of special and weaponized vehicles, 30 should be your minimum IMO..

I saved up 11m for I/E and did fine tbh. Just bought a vehicle warehouse, three of the new cars (Elegy Retro, Tempesta and Penetrator), some new clothes and a twenty-car garage. Don't really feel the need to go all out on day one.

 

Played the update extensively and bought three of the special vehicles and 40 more garage spots a month after. Oh, and most of the remaining clothes too.

 

I like this way of playing, earn everything legit before the update, spend some and then earn more by playing the update itself to spend on the remaining stuff.

 

Would much rather be considered 'poor' than have the slightest amount of non-legitimate cash in my bank

Around 15 mill has always been the best amount to have. Ofcourse there are discounts On the items after a while so that should keep Some people waiting for the less wanted stuff.

 

Never go for the most expensive place (bunker) since there is no advantage to that.

 

So with these things in mind you still grind now but don't do it to much. Keep it fun still.

The whole reason they're still doing updates is becasue Take-Two is telling them to. The last planned update was Import/Export which came out last year. But yet here we are in 2017 with planned updates for Spring and Summer.

It's not at all because a company that exists to make money is making a lot of money. That must not be a factor to the management of the company whose entire job is to keep the company making money. You know, the whole thing that GTAO does, and the whole purpose Rockstar has for existing?

thats exactly how i envision the future of gtao, new maps, character transfer but the assets are bound to that particular city.
