Since the Hydra's already on sale, there can't be anymore harm with putting the Lazer on sale as well. It's already available in game and all R* needs to do is create a Warstock page for it.

 

If Gunrunning has lots of military vehicles, I hope the Lazer is one of them. It's more fun than the Hydra and going to Zancudo everytime to get one is getting old real fast.

The lazer as a pegasus would be great. Its much more agile then the hydra.

Its basicly a combination of the hydra and the besra.

No need for vtol mode. If I want to hover somewhere i use a helicopter.

In reality, I have always thought many people look way too deeply into what Rockstar says. Yes they said Spring and Summer, yes they said gunrunning and more, but I think they are just using as many buzz words as possible to keep people interested in the article.

 

I think they are more or less saying that between now and fall, there will be at least one major update along with more drip feed content. Nothing more, nothing less.

I respectfully disagree. Rockstar wrote the copy in plain and simple terms that IMO warrant no confusion nor need speculation.

 

They said Gun Running and More coming this spring and summer.

 

Therefore Gun Running will be in the Spring and the More is another DLC they aren't ready to announce the details on yet which will release this summer.

 

But since they've been drip-feeding for sometime now, I don't anticipate that trend to diminish.

 

Gun Running will most-likely have some hidden/locked vehicles and or an adversary mode drip-fed shortly afterwards, perhaps what's already in the game files now.

 

This will sustain content additions until summer DLC arrives, and then the drip-feed cycle will start anew.

I personally don't think Red Dead 2 will have any effect on GTA online.

 

Besides initial sales what could they possibly offer in a Wild West setting that would make players buy Shark Cards. How many different types of Horses could you possibly sell? There's only so many cowboy outfit combinations. I guess they could make Guns ridiculously expensive. What else? Farms? Cows? Gold mining equipment?

 

Red Dead online will be nowhere near the money maker GTA online is.

 

As a matter of fact I don't think RDR2 will have any free updates. It'll DLC that you have to buy for $20 to get new guns or access to new territories.

Did you all worry this much about GTA IV multiplayer when GTA V was announced?

 

The Red Dead series isn't GTA, but Rockstar are video game developers, they're going to promote and support their newest game as a priority regardless of how many people still play GTA Online. They aren't only working on one game at any point in time. Plus, it's Shark Cards that bring a lot of the profits, and they don't have to stop selling those just because they have a new game on the shelf do they?

 

I'm sure support in terms of content updates will continue for GTA Online for a long while yet, but eventually it'll just be limited to bonus weeks because they will have GTA 6 / GTA Online 2 to consider as well, and by that time we will all move on. GTA Online might be an enormous success that'll influence the way we play GTA in the future, but it's still only one game within a longstanding series. There is absolutely no need to imagine any "rivalry" of resources between video games from the same company with many studios, IMO.

I did not. I drove a motorcycle around the map for an hour or so checking out my favorite locations while listening to my favorite stations and said goodbye to it.
