It's an investment. If you don't even get your money back then that's on you.

 

I didn't say that you couldn't make your money back but what you call an investment I call locking content, cars, missions and activity behind a pay wall.

 

E.g

 

The import / export, at the time this came out I had skipped the whole CEO thing because I saw it for the utter wastse of time and effort it was however I did like the look of the Rocket Voltic and the Blazer Aqua, bit pricey by themselves but f*ck it i'll stump the cash for them. Oh seems I need to own a warehouse to buy these vehicles. Ok that's a mill down the drain, oh seems I need to have a CEO building to buy a Warehouse what a shocker that's another mill down the drain and now I can finally buy the thing I first wanted to buy. So to buy these two items at a cost of over 3mill I had to first spend 2 mill on stuff I had no interest in and what did that get me... access to a series of f*cking fetch and delivery quests.

 

and THAT'S the problem with these DLC,s you see something in them you like the look of you factor the cost of buying it earn the cash and then suddenly it turns out you need to have bought a or b or in most cases both a and b which costs just as much as the item you wanted to buy at first and then you finally get to buy the thing you wanted at first and your reward for buying a or b is the opportunity to partake in a bunch of sh*tty half arsed fetch and delivery quests which if you want to make money with you have to find a server to solo or accept that while you are doing the quests you pretty much paint a massive f*cking bullseye on your back for everyone in the server with you.

Words wouldn't be able to describe how disappointing that would be. I mean, 2+ years waiting for some kind of vehicle you want, and then the update they're touting as being about military hardware turns out to be more of the same old stuff ...

 

Not to sh*t on your post. Just think a lot of people would be unbelievably disappointed, and I hope Rockstar know that.

True, but the fact that R* made CG HUD icons for the cut weapons tells me we'll be seeing them soon. It's a huge waste otherwise.

 

And yeah, that's the Programmable AR. Apparently it's buggy as f*ck though so I doubt we'll be seeing that any time soon, if at all.

 

And you're right, the same thing happened with the Progen brand, so hopefully there's still a chance.

Make it powerful, and with a nice long range like the Technical's gun. Kind of halfway between that and the Combat MG in performance.

 

Could be a very competent anti-air gun.

The fact that we're gonna speculate on gunrunning for over a month, ugh.

 

Let's hope with all this time, it means it's a massive update, and our 'beloved' company isn't just on vacation or working on RDR.

 

And in any case, since there's no more drip feed, my bank account would be more than ready to go on a shopping spree once it drops and if it's all good.

Further, whatever they are gonna come up with, i doubt i will be dissapointed.

 

I am prepared to buy at least 2 overpowered weaponized vehicles already if that gets implemented i think

I personally hope for some vehicle unlock related missions so i can earn some cash while having 100 percent fun and not really constantly thinking about making money

You are confusing game mechanics with weapons that would be added to use in FM. Not really the same thing at all.

Gunrunning could be anything tho, even still I only really want a customizable Crusader (get rid of that ugly af livery), Hunter and Rustler. If we don't get any of those imma be seriously shook

A customizable and storable Crusader with no livery? It would be awesome, they could call it "Mesa".

I remember people saying this before heist update, and we got more than we were expecting.

I've just watched a new movie (old enough tho, it's a "xXx: Return of Xander Cage") and maybe it's a moment of hype but knowing R* and how they enjoy movies and latest special vehicles I assume that we could see smth like that in the next update. Your thoughts?

I speculate that we will get new weapons obviously, some vehicles like the rumpo/mesa with high suspensions and outdoor rollcage ,APC , a barracks with some op weapon on the bed, aircrafts and maybe a pocket mortar

I think that Rockstar is fully aware that the community thinks gunrunning could be just a re-skin of ceo crates. This will push them to make it different and unique!

In hindsight Rockstar has a new opportunity to defeat our expectations and make gunrunnings arms trade business more than we expect. Rockstar is smart and they definitely know how to make gunrunning a memorable update.

 

Side note: R* could add a crossbow, flamethrower and other new weapons that require new animations. If they don't it's not because they don't have the budget, time, artists or experience (they have been making AAA games for well over a decade) It's because they are lazy and if that's the case we shouldn't be afraid to say it. Too often we all just bite our tongues when rockstar doesn't go the extra mile (doesn't happen often but it does happen) If Rockstar doesn't add a the crossbow you want because it needs completely new animations that's a red flag that they are not the masters we treat them as. That said, the lowriders update released with new character animations for driving. The bikers update has many new animations for riding and melee combat while riding so we can expect rockstar to raise the bar once again for gunrunning, not lower the bar.

The Dukes and Duke O Death are always giving F&F vibes.

 

But I kinda expected them to recreate the scene where they jump out of a cargo plane (Titan) and parachute on the ground in Furious 7 with the Cunning Stunts. F*cking missed opportunity.

These crate missions and all their reskinned versions seem to be designed to work in a game without jets and stickies, so if "gunrunning" gives us Hydra killer, we're still gonna have to deal with those damn sticky bombs. We could use our heavily armored vehicles, or get DoD styled armor upgrade to several other cars too and make them handle few explosions, but I bet gun smuggling still requires to use post vans...

 

Able to do these in solo lobby would be the best option, but still, this is online multiplayer.

OT: I have no doubt in my mind that gunrunning will be the most expensive update yet. R* tested the limits with the Ruiner 2000 and surprising a lot of people bought it.
