I'm honestly excited for the top down mode. Imagine playing this game like the first games.

I played those a lot, and I swear I can't drive for sh*t in those games lol.

Meh, all i care for currently is the gunrunning tbh

grotti turismo classic will destroy the sport classic class, but to be honest, i have not raced in ages anyhow because rockstar f*cked up betting and they still have not fixed the issue with stunt races mixing in with regular races at the lobby menu, let alone they buffed the payouts in general because their matchmaking sucks so hard....

The ironic part is the price of the stirling gt costs slighly more than the turismo classic and infernus classic.

The price you pay to have a 100x cooler car.

f*ck no, the Stirling GT doesn't have anything over the classic Ferrari. But it's all opinions :p

Guys, on another note the DoD is coming. I nodded it in online and when I tried to store it I was prompted to purchase it.

Why do people still think that dripfed car releases co-exist with a new event week?

Because it is a fact that tunable updates coincide with weekly events and vehicle releases.

Idk bro. Im thinkin somethings dropping tomorrow myself. We will find out in 9 hrs i reckon.

My buddy had it on nintendo. I thought it was kinda cool, but the camera angle really messed me up.

Whaat???? Mercedes SLR is nice, but it looks like its driving backwards imo. Ferrari F40 is way sexier not to even mention the Lambo imo.

Didn't say there WERE sliders, said it's a similar concept. What do you think a slider does? Changes values. That's how rockstar tweaked the physics - changing the values. You COULD use a slider to change the values, but alas that is not the way they did it.

Otherwise you pretty much agreed with and restated everything I said.... and then you accuse me of lying? I'm confused.

You used the term sliders, they're not a similar concept. Sliders manually adjust an integer, typically a modifier, with a simple user interface. The game does not utilize sliders for anything other than blendshape models. You bringing up sliders really doesn't make any sense.

I didn't agree with what you said, I explained that the game isn't utilizing a bundle of lies like you claimed - such as your supposed "physics models". Did you even read my posts? Christ, it's like trying to talk to a wall.

I know what I'm talking about because I spent a lot of time tinkering with the inner workings of this game. You lie about something and I'll be able to disprove it. Move along.

Nintendo? Didn't even know the original GTA was on a Nintendo console.

*googles*

It was never on a Nintendo console. You might mean Sega Dreamcast?

So you're one of those loons that accuses people of lying when you disagree with them? I'm sure you're some super l33t programmer. I'm suuuure.

I'll write a nice lengthy post explaining it to you when I'm on my PC tomorrow, perhaps dumbed down enough for you to understand. You clearly don't know as much as you think you do, or you'd understand why I equate changing values with sliders. It was an example, for f*cks sake, I was not saying that they use sliders. Speak of talking to a wall...

How good was the ramming power on the DOD? Insurgent level, or above?

GTA 1 and 2 were on Gameboy Color, and GTA Advance was on the GBA, so.... ^^

@CarnageRacing00 - nice ad hominem broski, hit me up when have evidence for your false claims. I get why you equate sliders and numeric values, but quite frankly it was unnecessary to even bring them up when they didn't even provide anything for your claim. And also, IV and V use the same physics engine, ya goof.

I've explained to you why your claim about the physics is wrong, why the sliders argument is redundant and just dismissed your petty claims, so you get your panties in a bunch. Makes sense.

For the record, if you're going to argue with somebody about how a game engine works, especially one as well documented as RAGE, then I'd suggest not arguing with somebody who spends their free time poking around under the hood of the game. Just wasted effort.

Between kuruma and insurgent (more closely to the kuruma)

Nah the ramming power of the dukes is above the insurgent. Not as crazy as some of the special vehicles I'd say. Maybe the brickade smashes better too.

Well below. Insurgent is a freight train. Duke isn't bad, it's above all other cars and most big trucks, but the insurgent is a lot more powerful.

No, not even close. Insurgent is better by far. Duke is still fun though.

Adversary modes are a plague to GTA... only one I like is Slasher... the rest are simply fancy LTS type modes

Yeah, Slasher really had some quality to it. It was like a suspenseful introduction to some large interiors

Siege mentality is what first got my interest.

Entourage is my absolute favorite though, I love playing the different supporting roles from each team. Playing the assassins team really demands the most strategy. Killing the bodyguards with your AK a few times and sneaking around for the fatal knife kill on the target is so intense!

I can't wait for X2 CASH & RP on Entourage

I definitely remember the DoD owning Insurgents when I had one.

I suppose we will see plenty of comparisons when it comes out though to prove either way.

Oh for f*ck- I KNOW the games use they same engine, I never said they didn't. Now you're just pulling things out of thin air.

BTW, that wasn't ad hominem ya goof. Perhaps do some reading?

Also also, I get that you think you're a haxx0r and all that, but it doesn't take a genius to understand game code. I've been modding my own games since 1.6 bro, and you don't see me on here trying to beat my chest and ensure that everyone knows that I've "poked around under the hood" of almost every PC game I've ever had.

Face it - you didn't comprehend what I was saying. Maybe I tried to water it down too much, but you DID just admit you now understand what I meant by "sliders" (and then conveniently cast aside the whole subject), so maybe you can also admit that you went on the attack before you really understood what and who you were attacking?

GTA V has more complex physics than GTA IV. I didn't say a different physics engine, I didn't say more realistic, I said more complex.

Maybe you should poke under the hood of a dictionary for a bit, fully understand the meaning of that word, then sit there and ponder my meaning for a while. Really look at GTA V, all of the additions to the game, and consider what ways the word "complex" might apply.

You might surprise even yourself.

You might surprise even yourself.

You said the games use two different physics engines - both games use the same engine for both NPC ragdolls and objects.

ef7ggbL.png

You used sliders as a silly explanation for modifying numeric integers in the .#MT / .META files that control the use of euphoria, including physics tasks and weight values. It was unnecessary because it doesn't applying any distinct information about the values that are being changed, or how they're changed. You simply used that word to make your claim sound more sophisticated to those with less knowledge on games and their inner workings.

GTA V does not have more complex physics than GTA IV. When we examine the usage of Euphoria, we can see that GTA IV had physics tasks like grabbing wounds / impact spots, stumbling when the legs are knocked into or drunk mode is active, NPCs latching onto objects such as cars and holding on while being dragged. GTA V can do these things, but the tasks are strangely missing from the meta files controlling the physics. We have mods to remedy this, we know how this sh*t works.

And if we're using object physics, IV once again has more usage of such things. More dynamic props, such as news paper bins, street signs, benches, most interiors have destructible corners, the usual. Main thing that V has is the destructible glass.

You telling me to refer to a dictionary, instead of actually telling me why I'm wrong, it your clear use of an ad hominem. You're calling me stupid, which really doesn't make much sense when you're arguing a point that doesn't make any sense. You're only here to argue, not to actually accept facts - let alone state any.

People like you are simply the worst. You try to look high and mighty around people who know less about a subject (just below you, for that matter) - and when someone who actually knows what they're talking about comes along and shoots down your claim you get butthurt. If someone actually comes along and denies your claim, and you know you're wrong, be an adult and accept the truth.
