There are some people who still have the Duke of Death on their bike racks,

 

 

If you take it out of context, this sounds so freaking dumb lol.

I just now realized how dumb it sounded since I didn't explain exactly how they managed that :p. There have been a few dupe glitches involving the bike rack, and some people actually used the bike rack to have more car slots available for use prior to the introduction of the 20 car garages in offices. Some people did store a Duke of Death using these glitches, and they have been left there ever since.

Example: fire truck spawned through the floor, while doing pac standard heist and killed the hostages. Etc, etc...

 

I'm sure they're a million trillion other worst examples than that one, that happens every day. I know I see weird sh*t all the time, you're lucky it even flys. They're notorious for breaking sh*t while trying to fix things.

And another question about a peculiar comment from a week ago or so that was directed toward Yan (can't remember who) which said that the "real fun begins in October." No one questioned him unless I missed a reply. Anybody care to elaborate?

GTA V has one of the most complex physics systems of any game in existence. Note I did not say most realistic I said ONE OF of the most COMPLEX. Just because it wigs out sometimes does not mean the physics are substandard by any means. Physics obviously matter a LOT to Rockstar, or they wouldn't have invested so much into giving every single item in the game it's of approximation of ballpark realistic physics.

 

You can bat away someone's parachute pack as they're taking it off, for f*cks sake.

Nice to see they're just being dicks by turning turbulence on for every other aircraft then.

 

So wait they are dicks cuz they removed turbulence from one plane and not from every other one?

I kinda like them. Makes flying in bad weather more realistic

but it guess it was way to strong on a small plane like mallard so they removed it

I think they blocked that for a reason - it was glitchy as f*ck. R* doesn't like things that make the game look bad/unfinished

I'll try the dodo again this afternoon, has bugged me for ages I can't use it for drive-bys.

 

BTW, specific changes from @vanillagta twitter;.

Weight is halved, turning ability is 2x higher, rudder strength is 3x higher, and wind/turbulence (Mallard only) is gone.

I'm gonna have some fun in this. Weight halved!

 

Aerial Stunt Races confirmed?

Oh God no. Can you imagine up to 16 incompetent morons flying through a tube?

Already played 20+ captures in GCCC playlist using Stunt Planes to fly thru tubes lol, but that was before turbulence removal.

 

For the record I think Turbulance's complete removal is a terrible idea, it should have just been minimized not removed. Physics fail IMO.

 

 

Turbulence being removed does suggest a new game mode or Air Races is coming imo. It might be to benefit brand new players that have a zero Flight Stat, so it would level the playing field in races. But that shouldn't apply to freeroam, so maybe they are testing it at the moment.

That reminds me. I was tailing a Lazer with a Mallard in an attempt to make him piss off and stop griefing everyone when there was suddenly light rain. The massive jet fighter struggled, while the little Mallard flew normally. Turbulence definitely needs to be tweaked. Fair enough that a bit of rain and wind would shake up a Mammatus or something, but it effects the larger aircraft way too much.Have you ever been in a big comercial aircraft when the weather is stormy ?

 

Trust me...considering most aircraft in this game is a lot smaller then a boeing 747, i kinda think the turbulence is realistic enough.

Sorry, Yan, got ya confused with someone else. Anyway, since I have your attention, it was a post by TheFoot743 on page 1960. You have any knowledge about October? See post below.

 

 

I'd expect this dual stage DLC will act exactly how the previous was. Content, drip feed, second half content. Following month: Major content from second edition, drip feed for 1-2 months. drip fed SV races/vehicle drops to gunrunning missions/properties, back to drip fed SV's and accessories. Then the fun sh*t drops Oct. 2nd/9th.

I tried to bring my duke of death off the bike rack tonight but the recent broken bike rack has firstly deleted almost all of my bikes and secondly the blue circle is still broken from bikes so I cant even see if or where the dukes is.. Otherwise I'd be driving it right now.

Certainly, it could very well just be a glitch - like the many top speed glitches and bugs that were later patched. It is was just turbulence though I would think bug, but the weight reduction, improved rudder stats etc. seems something intentional but who knows.

No, certainty not a glitch! What you are talking about are glitches that change top speed for some random outside reason (like shooting rims/driving on curves)

 

but here - we have changes in stats made by someone at R*. You can't call that a "glitch" unless you count human errors as glitches... (only if we assume they left those changes by accident or something like that)

those are physical changes in the last patch so it was intentional - to make it feel more like a real stunt plane

but IF those changes are a mistake - that still means they are experimenting with planes stats and someone just left those changes in (but that's more unlikely). Something is coming I bet.

I love intentionally gliding my rear bumper into the tops of other players and messing with them a little. I race as clean as my competition in regular and stunt races, but SV races are a nice opportunity to get a little dirty.

 

Anyone else see GTA races for SVs? If they allowed machine guns and limited the R2K to 1/2 non homing missles, it could be balanced enough to quite fun IMO..

Flame me all you want, but the hunter and apc were so far i can tell never realisticly depicted.

 

A modern apache first of all has a nototious 30mm canon, is not that well armored.

Is anything in the game that realistically depicted though?

 

I think I remember once hearing about an Apache getting hit by an RPG and surviving by the way. It was damaged (think they had to land it further off and do a few repairs), but it was otherwise intact.

 

Not as strong as the San Andreas Hunter I'm sure lol, but not that weak either.

 

Plus, most other stuff that's not realistic about the Hunter - it's in ways that don't favour it. Like, the real version could get people miles away, pivot the gun just by looking at things, etc.

No it isn't.

 

Whacking a prop, applying dead weight to a bone-reliant model, etc - all basics physics engine nonsense. GTA V is basic compared to IV.

I have a question. If the dod is unblacklisted whats stopping ppl from putting them in their garage right now since they no longer explode. Did r* patch the sp>mp

 

I think THe only removed the boom thing its still blacklisted until they gonna make it available on the Warstock;p

Dude, it's Rockstar, nothing ever means anything lol.,,

They copied, like ctrl+z copied the "handling" file from the Mallard to use as a base template for the Rustler (surprise!), and messed up the turbulence value while dicking around with the files.

 

Note: I said base template because if the Rustler comes, I'm certain it'll be faster and heavier than the Mallard, although it will handle similarly.

Let me rephrase.

 

There's a physics model for the parachute pack. Why is there a physics model for the parachute pack? That's certainly not the act of someone who allegedly doesn't care about physics.

 

Also, GTA IV physics more complex? Nope. Sorry. You want to blast someone about "basics", practice what you preach- the difference between V and IV equates to a slider adjustment. Rag dolls have been significantly improved (and yes I'm aware they use a different engine than object physics), but car mass has been reduced. There are also more physics objects in the world at once. The physics became more, not less, complex. Just because you don't like the "slider settings" doesn't mean the inner workings are any less intense.

Well to be honest i rather see the hunter having a turret like the valkerie tbh...again though...realisticly speaking you need 2 ppl to pilot it.

Hunter will be probably the improvement of Savage.

I can see it with Valkyries turret, Savage missile pods, durability of a Cargobob and a price tag of Luxor Deluxe.
