They keep updating qabeta, this is interesting.

How so? Update soon?

Sounds like it. Maybe they time the next update really on March 7
The 7th of March would be great but with their two-week events being the norm for awhile now, I suspect the 14th. Hope I'm wrong. Need to spend my millions.and a day later you will be moaning and speculating again!! The only way to save this game is a new or extended map and that's not going to happen!!I didnt know that this game needs to be saved from something.. From the millions that play it each month and the millions that Rock Star keeps banking each quarter.

Drones? Yeah, let's grief the whole lobby while sitting in your apartment.

Oh well, not at all because everybody will have their own drone. So the game will be as realistic as ever: characters sitting in front of a screen.

Awful, awful..... :panic:

my idea of drones like the global hawk, would require the player to be on the outside, it wont be able to operate the drone if inside a building or underground structure that may "interfere" with the signal.

thus making it balanced!

Because that's never going to happen? Guys, look, the man with the crystal ball.

A few questions:

Why do so many of you shoot down the idea of an online map expansion? Perhaps they'll offer a story-mode expansion coupled with an online map expansion one day, or even keep the online map expansion as a separate purchase. The whole idea of opening the map while adding new features to existing areas to balance player migration sounds like a standard approach, but would the map expand or would we travel to other cities by warping to another lobby or by physically traveling there by boat/plane?

Why do many of you think that animals can not be added to online even if they're only temporarily visible during VIP free roam missions?

How about mansions? Perhaps as a part of another High Life update. Exotic pets would be ok but Pegasus should also deliver your vehicles outside. Dual ten-car garages maybe? Just trying to consider more perks besides eye candy.

People also mention a police DLC of some kind but truthfully, a crooked cop DLC would be best. And to store and customize any police vehicle would be sick.

The Casino could happen. Do jobs for a casino boss to earn playable tokens sounds like the only way they could safely implement a gambling environment.

I love the online, but I am getting bored of the map like many of you. Geographically, you'd think that if a map expansion would happen that San Fierro and Las Venturas would be added first.

I just don't believe things will be slowing down. Online makes Rockstar too much money.

Personally, I would love a map expansion (even paying extra for it), but I suspect the following issues make it unlikely:

* Very time consuming "cleaning up" older map code to look good in GTA Online (updating textures, broken 3D modeling/file format conversion issues); creating it from scratch means tons of time spent doing design and working through fit issues...not to mention object placement, creation of new buildings, props, etc.

* New maps have numerous bugs in them, providing players with tons of wall breaches, etc.--very time consuming for R* to fix. More than 3+ years into GTA Online, players are still finding new wall breaches and ways to get under the map or into "off-limit" buildings.

* Maps have to have "life" i.e. NPCs carefully placed, checked, etc.; a lifeless city has little long-term appeal.

So I would rather see R* open up more building interiors in the existing map, such as multi-story buildings, manual access to/from your apartments via staircase (no animation or cut scene needed--except for the door?), etc. allowing new game play in freeroam, as well as interior-based DM/TDMs. Interiors (lit/dark rooms) would also provide the perfect setting for existing items like Nightvision Goggles and lights on weapons, as well as tear gas (make the Gas mask that we own actually useful), etc. and new items like flash bangs, smoke grenades, etc.

More places to hide from the LSPD and lose your wanted level would be welcome, without having to resort to outrunning them (via air) or going back into a tunnel (ground) for the umpteenth time--gets old. Also better AI scripting that doesn't need to resort to the currently sad and OP troll tactics.

You make it sound like this is an impossible task. The next GTA game isn't slated until roughly 2021, so with that in mind, Rockstar will continue to expand GTA Online on current gen until the consoles reach their limit with the game, just like with the PS3/360. Why would Liberty City be lifeless? This isn't an OpenIV mod that allows you to cruise through a ghost town; this is Rockstar we're talking about, and they're going to keep feeding GTA Online with quality updates until GTA VI hits. Besides, isn't Liberty City already in the HD universe? So updating textures to higher res may be time consuming but isn't so difficult that they're going to say, "A few more years isn't enough time." They practically work around the clock for the sake of profiting hundreds of millions of dollars, if not billions (net profits, not gross). Who's to say that Rockstar hasn't been designing LC over the last few years preparing for a map expansion release?

Keep your mind open. If they created all of this for us, then a larger map isn't far-fetched.

EDIT: And what was the deal with that widescreen snapshot of North Yankton on the banners around the giant Christmas Tree in the Expo area? Looks like an expansion hint to me.

I speculate that Taco Bell is good for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but like your speculation, it'll never happen.

Haha, it's not probable but still possible.

Let's not forget. Sometime within the next decade and a half, GTA will most likely be a 'nationwide' game. What they've wanted to do since the beginning.

Los Santos, Vice City, Liberty City, San Fierro, Las Venturas. Most likely with a knockoff of Seattle, Chicago, Detroit, Dallas, Boston, DC, New Orleans, and many more smaller towns interspersed. We'll have the deserts of the Western Basin and Mojave, the mountains of the Sierra Nevada Rockies and Appalachians, swamps and archipelagos of south Florida, dense woodland of the Pacific Northwest, and the wide expanse of grasslands of the Great Plains.

Fantastic vistas and parodies of scenic national parks. Miles upon miles of wilderness to explore and terrorise. Major cities to explore and terrorise.

And it will be all under one roof. All in one game we can all play.

Please, let's not force R* into making a quarter-arsed expansion for the shoddy GTA 5 map. Let's wait for them to start from scratch and make it properly. It's gonna happen, in our lifetimes.

The Vigero could use some Benny's love anyway. I'd be okay if it didn't have bunch of weapons, but it has so much potential.

I've been wanting to bring this for a while now. so what If dlc for sp was never actually cancelled but was shelved or postponed until gtao died (not entirely but enough to be brought to R* attention). Second thought was it will be released before rdr2, and i think that because i have trouble believing R* will keep the fall 2017 window and they will release sp dlc in it's place to hold fans over till the finalized release date.

I have a feeling that Vigero is heavily inspired by the Camaro used in Gorillaz music video for Stylo (with a little more added on)

Side note, when i was younger I never realized it was Bruce Willis in the vid

I was running a P.S. heist with some buddies and while on the job one of the guys was just talking back to Lester and along the way, just as we got in the bank he said something like 'we can't Lester you div, so do stop telling me to'... In reference to a line Lester says, to knock out or tie up the guards and not kill them, of course we can't do anything other than kill them one way or another or we'll get slowly shot to death...

I got us talking, and that the game dynamics were used in story, and in red dead redemption, not sure if had been mentioned much here, but seeing as I feel this years DLC's are a little more forced on R* through them just not expecting the community to have grown as big for as long, and as the dynamics for a stun gun and rope to hogtie NPC's (or possibly players, on certain jobs like adversary modes or something, but preferably new missions). I think it will be easier for the guys to add those items and still offer a chance to add creative jobs with them... Of course, I'd love a chainsaw too...

I offer nothing new to this topic I believe, I'm sure they've been mentioned many times but I do feel these items would add to the game if implemented correctly and between R* North and R* San Diego that runs RDR (I think) I'm sure they share the technical of creating these 2 franchises. Just like the safes to crack on a couple of contact missions and on that MC Contract, P.O.W. that was in red dead, I'm unsure if they were in GTA IV as I didn't play that much, if so, then my bad.

But at this stage in the games life, with red dead 2 on the way, Excited! And my love for this game, knowing R* hasn't gone wrong with all the major DLC's and themes, the ones not to my taste are gems for others, I'll be happy most likely with anything good and substantial I've read here, not all are good ideas, not all are bad and I couldn't read all so I am just rounding up my thoughts here too. I shall read more and be better informed in future, just 1800+ pages, lol...

No Vigero Benny's love until we get Picador Benny's love.

Why not both at once? I agree about the Picador though, it's one of the forgotten cars.

They need to listen to the community for new updates if they wanna keep there players from playing other games

bender-laughing.gif

If that was true, we'd already have a tuner/military update, the Thomas the Tank Engine attack helicopter, a better variety of clothing and weaponry, and much more.

EDIT: I'm dying. Whenever I try to type the word H U N T E R it changes to Thomas the Tank Engine. lmao
