Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

Its almost a complete Next DLC Speculation Thread cycle. We already got the thread locked, the GTAO is dead, the griefers argument & now SoftSecerts.

 

C'mon quick! someone bring up Shark Card Conspiracy & the Casino to complete the cycle. ✌

The only way he would be able to predict the upcoming 2 to 3 years of GTA Online in such detail is if he was some kind of god like creature or a fortune teller.

I am still baffled at people thinking that Rockstar Games has a very specific set in stone scenario for GTA Online and GTA V and GTA VI. No they haven't.

They have some kind of road map, sure, but there is a clear reason why it is called game "developement", especially with a company like R* where things can change last minute.

The games and updates they produced are created, redone, and redone again and again until they fit(the games moreso than updates for obvious reasons), stuff gets cut and new stuff gets added constantly, thus giving specific long-term predictions about anything design related is almost absolutely impossible.

 

At the moment Rockstar is focused on Red Dead Redemption 2, even moreso because they have had mass-exodus recently(because of the last year or so almost the entire company's been in crunch mode).

and a massive map that dwarfs GTA Online's) and the hardware capabilities of the PC, XBox One, and PS4, there will be a freeze over in h*ll before anyone convinces me that R* can't add animals in Online (especially when script kids in GTA Online have at times spawned plenty of them without any noticeable degradation to performance).

 

My guess is R* is waiting to add them as part of a DLC at some point in the future; they would be popular with a significant percentage of players (but not everyone of course).

 

They may not add it because they don't see the need for it and not because they can't.

True--though it's ludicrous to hear animal sounds, and see empty barns, stables, racing track for horses, etc. and... no animals.

 

Certainly fits with R* "logic".

 

Like all cut content, R* had plans (below); I contend that animals can add an immersive aspect not just to scenery, but also game play; like seeing the LSPD or another player get mauled by a mountain lion. Suddenly the environment is no longer just one big player vs. player DM. Whether R* restores them or not remains to be seen:

 

 

There's a good reason why players often speak of Story Mode as immersive and lively--and GTA Online as dull and rather empty (except for players killing each other; plenty of that).

 

In terms of originally planned content for a GTA world, GTA Online remains the most gutted environment in which to play.

You know how playing in casino might end in reality? xD You came with money, then after few hours you exit it without money and clothes (except socks and underwear)... SO in GTA Online Casino could work in similar way:) Once you will get big money to make you wanna play more, and then BAM!!! All your money lost there lol xD

 

About animals, recently I saw old video about stuff that is cut from game etc... GTA V misses horses, even there was a heist mission regarding stealing horse and safe... I had a thought that maybe Rockstar will add horses after relasing RDR2...

Why?

1) Seeing them and enjoying riding them might make you wanna play RDR2

2) If Rockstar will make horses unlockable after adding RDR2 to socialclub then... this could make some people buy RDR2

Look I didn't bring it up to start sh*t. I asked cuz I was talking to my nephew about the possibilities of gtao. Look I look at it as its his opinion. Do I believe it no but I would love to see things added. So to all the people getting butt hurt over me asking, I can believe what I want. If I wanted to I could belive in unicorns and dragons and even wonderland. Look again it's speculation... just what this thread is. At least I'm not begging for the dam helicopter or somethingcrazy. Again to each his own... but in my opinion a map expansion will come. I know I have been waiting for San fierro but more Las venturas

On topic; why do people think animals are so far-fetched? Are you the same people that said "there's no more than 50 cars per players because hardware limitations!!!"... and then we got 120 vehicle slots per character. I don't buy it that this game can't handle it. Animals could be implemented just fine. I wish R* would have kept the lobbies to 16-20 players on current gen and added more immersion to lobbies.

Yeah, it never ceases to amaze me how far some posters here will argue over something they could care less about or don't want, so they will adamantly defend to the death why something will never be added (garage space, ahem ). What's hilarious is half the time the stuff they argue will never get added, eventually gets added LOLOL!

These huge lobbies, to me, plays a part with the horrible connection issues too.

 

On last gen, I never really had a seriously problem with disconnects. And now, it's just a part of them game. I fully agree that there should have never been 32 player lobbies. Half the time, 20 of the 32 people aren't even in the map itself. It just feels like a total waste sometimes.

You know, according to Yan and Fun, we likely won't get anymore "big" updates for GTA Online anymore, due to the release of RDR2.

 

So what I expect here is a few vehicles. Maybe a new gamemode (not necessarily adv. modes), but that's it.

 

We don't have much to follow, as there are no leaks going on right now... Sure, we know when qabeta(2) gets updated, but that's pretty much it.
