I really think the people expecting something big, if anything the same day when transfers will close down are setting themself up for some nice dissapointment.

 

Its like ill gotten gains period all over again

 

Not to mention the amount of time between real content updates for the past year has been quite far in between.

Yeah. I mostly use my Hydra as a means of quick transportation as its hands down THE fastest vehicle in the game, getting you from point A (the airport) to point b (Paleto Bay) in only 2 minutes.

 

I also may or may not use it for when someone kills me and are too much of coward to stay and finish the fight, opting instead to flee and spam explosives all the while. It's not disproportionate retribution. Think of it as the #1 option for when you want someone dead and by dead, we mean DEAD

It's the furthest thing from mandatory. The only thing you actually need is common sense and the ability to pick your fights. I used to take on Hydras that sought to grief the entire session with BST and the heavy rifle, nowadays I just have the sense to change lobbys and get on with whatever I was doing in peace.

It's the furthest thing from mandatory. The only thing you actually need is common sense and the ability to pick your fights. I used to take on Hydras that sought to grief the entire session with BST and the heavy rifle, nowadays I just have the sense to change lobbys and get on with whatever I was doing in peace.

Well...if you do not mind being in a disadvantage all the time...and you do not care about leaving.

 

Really...once every 10 fights you are gonna come across at least 1 person that, if you own him/her, will retaliate and come at you with a hydra...and when that happens you better get off anything you have been driving and rely on the pilot f*cking up or the power of the minigun, heavy sniper and rpg.

 

Besides that...its handy to make money in freeroam.

 

Destroying cargo, beating people at objectives on the map, awsome to defend yachts with, hunting bounties...

i got like 220million and i still deposit 1.5-2million every week to my savings account aka my second character.

 

the hydra is a good choice, you can use it to make money in freeroam too.

No really though. Not everyone who gets spawnkilled by a jet was looking for a fight

 

Good that you snipe them though (probably the most effective method, outside of geting a vehicle). That said, it's when you get multiple people sniping a jet that things get tough for the jet. If you're on your own, I wouldn't say it puts you on an even footing at all (is the best thing you can do though, if push comes to shove. In my opinion anyway).

Online is R* and TakeTwos cash cow,I don't see them abandoning it. Zelnick even said GTA would not compete with RDR2. It may slow down over the next 18 months,but abandon. Definitely not.

Even then...if my jet is smoking and i don't feel like going on a ground war...i just leave the area, go to the nearest helipad and get myself a new jet.

The Hydra is not mandatory. There are many ways to deal with jets at this point.

Like what?

Buy a Homing Launcher for 60k, only to get blown up by a Hydra who flew around in loops to avoid 5 of your rockets?

 

Or buying a 4 million dollar car, which can only take one explosion? (Fully Loaded VIP mission is another case, however, plus infinite missiles)...

 

Or maybe even buy a 3 million dollar Hydra yourself, only to get shot down if the griefing Hydra has better skills than yourself?

 

Or get some BST and try and snipe the Hydra away? Might work, but as soon as the Hydra starts smoking, the Pilot will just jump out and get a new one, while your BST loses its duration.

 

Deep down, I don't want to spend high amounts of money to TRY and counter a Jet Griefer. Even though I have everything of the above, I don't feel that it shouldn't be expensive to get rid of a Flying Doom machine. In my opinion, Rockstar could remove the explosive rounds and substitute them for Buzzard guns, but with MUCH higher damage output (so, you know, it actually takes SKILL to hit something, or someone with it).

 

 

 

So all in all, a Hydra is not worth it that much, unless you want to go from point A to point B real quick.

 

 

 

Aaaaanyway....

I'm still interested in the thing Fun wrote... Something about a new update, not necessarily a DLC.

 

They have updated qabeta.

Depot 271594 has been updated which means it's a new update.

Don't get yourself hyped, they did it two weeks or one week ago and rolled it back and surprise surprise it's just a Launcher update.

However this one makes sense, usually this means the update should be released within two weeks.

They have to update the game in order to stop "Character Transfer".
