Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

If I hadn't known any better I am predicting a "Law and Order" DLC to be the next one or the one soon after the next DLC. We had the CEO's, the Bikers, and the logical next step is the Police DLC. Not to mention the police outfits that come with it too!

 

Buying different police style patrol/swat vehicles from warstock and operate as a Police Patrol Unit much like the Bikers and CEOs. Same with doing missions except it would be for chasing criminals and arresting people.

 

 

MAYBE the taser weapon will be unlocked finally. I bet money the Law and Order DLC will be coming here shortly before or at summer time this year.

I remember that too. So far that hasn't worked out too far with GTA 5 has it? There is that also. Either way you slice it. It's a 50/50 chance they would implement a police dlc in the game or just lump it in with a bigger dlc or not have one whichever im fine with.

Exactly. You can even store the cop cars in storymode (i have all of them stored) but not in online. The reasons for that are beyond my imagination.

 

And the answer that ruiner quoted is just a reply from a dev (atleast the guy himself said that he is just a dev), so he hdoes not really make any decisions.

And its one of the highly requested dlcs like bikers and lowriders so thats another reason for Rockstar to produce a police dlc.

Vigilante ≠ being an actual cop. Being a vigilante is illegal as you're posing as a cop while not actually being one, on top of murdering (in GTA at least) the criminals.

 

A vigilante DLC would make more sense than an actual cop DLC IMO.

True; but also take into consideration that bad cops exist. So what, just because we would be able to become cops mean that cops are not able to steal/apprehend vehicles and shoot anyone they please?? Open your eyes; laws exist and yet people still do sh*tty sh*t.

 

Become a cop in GTA = means becoming a crooked cop in GTA (still a cop though)

Cops in this series aren't exactly law abiding either.

 

I can easily see us being a Tenpenny or Steve Haines type cop.

Hasn't it always supposed to have been a surprise? It's just the majority of us get the info about it through leaks and rumors before the surprise gets here.

Looking at the popularity of both LCPDFR and LSPDFR, I'd think it'd be a smart move to have a DLC in a similar vein. Doing the whole pulling people over, chasing them, arresting them with backup from your brethren in blue is a pretty damn enjoyable past-time in single player. Think it'd be even better in GTAO provided they stay true to the spirit of the aforementioned mods and give players the freedom to do these things in free roam rather than restrict them to procedural missions.

I think it would be fun to create our own Vehicle Vendetta maps with the new Special Vehicles as well.

 

 

Like a "Create A Twisted Metal Map" type of thing.

 

Edit: That sounded wishlisty, but I mean it sounds like it is easy enough for them to implement I think, with the tools we already have. Maybe not idk.

Doesn't that happen when you play 99% of the time anyway? The only way to curb that is to give "player cop killers" 5 stars for a 5 minuet timer that can't be paid by Lester or bribed by CEO powers or turn invisible.

Phew, saw Raavi's name on here and thought someone was headed to the gallows.

I also think a police DLC would be a great way to allow us to own cop vehicles (something that used to get requested a lot). Also, that old SWAT APC with water cannon could be good fun.

Like WildBrick142 though, I think it's more likely we'd get a vigilante DLC, or even a throwback to San Andreas DLC (obviously with a more creative name than that though).

Same could be said for Rockstar making us head out in post vans though, and they still do that.

OT: I don't think I'd care for a Police DLC anymore unless it brings back Cops and Crooks or a new version of Lamar missions but this time you can choose to be a cop or a criminal and it would have a narrative. Also no forced 4 players plis.

Not more or less fun than being blown up just sitting or standing about I suppose. Though I'm sure with a little bit of creativity and an emphasis on the 'crooked cop' element they could mould something that'd be compelling for LC/SPDFR enthusiasts and Harry Hydra alike.

Ugh well if they don't ever release it then its not really a loss although I think it would still be fun to do as a side job. It is true no one really cares much for the police thing anyhow or the amount of requests for it like the other content we have gotten.

Well, i take the risk:...that guy is probably a troll trying to derail this thread to bullsh*t again.

 

That being said, considering the transfers will soon be closed down i am honestly expecting first of all just a few lame event weeks with sh*tty payouts, and in about a month from now maybe really new content that is not adversary modes.

 

Also i think that people arresting other people and such is not gonna happen, rockstar likes to revamp things they already did, it sounds a bit to unique i think.

 

Also overall even if it were to happen the DLC will be badly received, since if it happens it happens in freeroam, which is still balanced bad and people are slowly starting to relize that(bikers dlc was not even near as populair compared to CEO missions.

 

further, like said, that well known leaker said rockstar does not like the idea of people dressing up like cops to much....though not sure if that was a serious claim it should be taken into consideration since sure it does not sound they had any plans then to implement something like that.
