So, in 10 minutes we'll see if the update is only bug fixes (that has never happened, or at least I don't recall bug-fix-only-without-actual-new-content update) or we get something new for Valentine (maybe locked until 14th?)

One of the updates was on Wednesday, but I don't recall which.

And today we'll get an update as well, so count that too.

back in the early days, patches 1.01 til like 1.07 were only bug fixes and stuff like that, no content.

How long does the janitor work at R*?, though? , is he a reliable source? Has he proven trustworthy before? Is he 60+ years old, cause that might also play part in his saying

Well, nothing downloaded on PC for me yet, so if anything happened it didn't require download. Or is yet to happen.

According to Fun, all it needed was a reboot of the game.

Which is what they have done before to stop the character swap money glitch.

I just don't get why this is planned.

@Tomasrehy my R* janitor source have been working on there for many years and have provided good info in the past, a few misses here and there but good info for someone that get his info by peeking around desks, eavesdropping and reading papers from the trash.

Because it isn't for consoles. It's just Launcher update. Nothing important.

It's to hotfix some dupe glitches.

The value they have used is to force everyone to restart their game to download the new update.

The current event was set to last for 2 weeks between 30/01-13/02. No update today, Valentines announcement on Thursday or Friday.

Ah, I figured since that glitch was patched yesterday. But why did you say it was planned for today, the restart?

The value is set to 1486546200

It is used to have everyone restart their game once it hit 4:30 AM to download the new update.

Making sure no one goes past that time without having the new update (Some consoles tend to keep using the old version thus some people had the snow even after they have disabled it)
