Why did Rockstar change the tunables though...?

 

I liked to read them to see what exactly has been enabled... I mean, I'm not going to all sorts of places (Office, Apartment, in-game website, ect.) to see if there's a discount on some sh*t. Too lazy fo' dat.

The same reason they have hashed all tuneable vars two years ago.

This also confirms that they are going to change the decryption key with the next update.

Correction, they can be read, but according to fun the tunables now have "code names" of some sort to prevent us from identifying what's changed.

They have changed tunables, their code, not the game files and their format

I wonder if they sift through all the emails I bombard them with, or if they just blacklisted my name?

Probably a bit of both, and then had a laugh about the scale of the 'bombardment' spam after? To offer my take on it I think a new attack heli or two would be fine but making it the most powerful thing in the game to satisfy your desires would be stupid. Just my two cents. Flares instead to deal with ground artillery. I get where you're coming from, but it does get annoying after a while to see it in almost every thread manifesting...

I do not expect any info for at least an other week, considering they have to release the specter next, together with this i expect an other even week with some sh*tty adversary mode nobody cares about and after that i expect an other week were things of this last update will be having a sale

 

Then, after that, i am guessing we get the newswire update which anounces a revamped valentine update which will contain the same sh*t like last year except with maybe some new clothing ? or nothing new at all ?

 

Seems the most likely thing to happen.

You people really have to stop saying nobody cares about the adversary modes. There are many people that care and play them regularly including myself. Yes, they have released some crappy ones that took no effort but atleast they bring something different to the world instead of just shooting each other with guns.

 

Almost every adversary mode is below 60% rated. They are the only things in-game that low. And they would be lower, if most people's automatic reaction wasn't to spam buttons to get through the menu as fast as possible.

 

If this was a restaurant, and people rated your food 2 stars, you wouldn't keep selling the same stuff. You would try and listen to feedback and improve your menu.

 

R* don't do that. R* are stubborn.

No they're not, GTAO Bot dev removed the last tunables from his website.

 

From today all the newer tunables will be useless, but I can still manage to associate those hashed values with their non hashed one.

 

But yeah datamining from tunables is now definitly dead guys

Well if someone else (because I won't do it) manage to understand how to compute this "new" hashing method (it was inside the game since day one) and loose his time to brute force each value and be sure to have a valid result for each hash instead of a collision then, it would be theoretically possible to get clear text values for new hashes, but should I remember you that we didn't named all the natives by bruteforcing in like 4 years now ?

 

So yeah, it's impossible.

As a computer moron, what does this mean? in regular english. Is this for the morning of type stuff. Like tomorrow when people post whats changed and for sale many hours before R* post on the social club. Or the ability to see unreleased content that cames with a dlc.

Nope, it's gonna be "Night clubbing" with melee weapons at night, maybe in the interior of Bahama Mamas, but then that's it.

No open interior in freeroam or dancing minigames.

Just the adversary mode. And double RP on it.

Yeah I can already see it. "Hunter vs Prey" (hunter vs new bike that reflects rockets using big-ass magnets). Available only in new adversary mode!
