Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

Rockstar just needs to give us a damn mission creator. We have more than enough cars and vehicles in general. Only hackers have all the new stuff... and to those of you that own it all legitimately... wtf do you drink water from a pouch?

I mostly drink water from dew that gathers on the grass in the early morning.

You go outside for your water? I have a plastic sheet up outside my window, and when I open the window the sheet funnels the dew and rain into a bucket that has a twirly straw.

Dripfeeding doesn't make the wait more tolerable, it creates the wait itself. We're not waiting for a specific DLC right now. No announcements, no hints, no leaks, nothing. Nobody even knows what the theme of the next DLC might be.

Guess I'll just go stock up on money with the I/E bonus then go play other games. It'd be nice if they made those two cars the Valentine's Day DLC content, it's only over a month away. Or Independence Day DLC. Just add an American flag livery to both.

Pretty sure they dripfeed cause people then buy all the content instead of picking what they actually want.

I def agree on adding the mission creator. The community would make unlimited content. I love playing missions, but im finally getting tired of knowing the easiest and best ways to achieve success. New missions would breathe an enormous amount of new life into the game and keep me playing longer than a day and a half aftet a new vehicle drops.

But that doesnt make much sense. Wouldnt it be better for R* if people blow all their money even on stuff they dont want, increasing the chances of them having to buy a shark card

Well i do not care since i barely play them anymore, but every time they released a creator for a certain type of job things really went to hell....

Then again, considering we have ingame filters for those things, might be slightly interesting, but yea, unless you got a youtube acount that is populair or you get a name as good content creator your jobs will never be played and will be burried under loads of garbage created by this in general toxic useless community

I want one, but how would a mission creator even work?

Thats exactly what I mean. Maybe I worded it wrong. But yeah, player X is waiting for the specter but get bored and buys each vehicle while waiting for the car they really want, and when it finally comes, they havr no money.

Also, players like me who are sitting on a bit of cash end up buy everything because we are starving for new stuff. I bought the new bike, which would not have happened if they released it all at once. Heck, I might not have bought a second Nero or second Elegy Retro.

Don't care about the wait since i matured more about a year ago.

I dislike the drip feeding because i rather just have all content that is actually ready to go directly so broughy can get on with his testing, we can be done with all those sh*tty adversary modes and event weeks nearly every week and get some propper events every month and proper full huge updates every 2 months or so.

how it is going now is just ridiculous....just having content hold off just to make those sh*tty event weeks seems more notable is just stupid.

I imagine one could choose to make it a package pickup or a kill everybody type mission etc. Choose initial spawn area, place bad guys, choose how strong they are what weapons vehicles etc. And choose the drop off point. Would be cool if we could make our own multi stage missions like pickup sticks.

Probably indeed, but just because other people are idiots does not mean we all should suffer trough this drip feed.

Sadly enough this probably will keep happening as long people don't start growing actual brains, since really, i think things like the schafter v12 f*cking up the sedan class, them breaking other vehicle classes and the different ways of drip feeding are just tests of rockstars to see how far they can go, and considering those cash cards are selling better then ever, i think that is great proof of how stupid many of the people are that play this game, since the drip feeding and class breaking is really becoming a common theme....heck, it is happening every update....except this one....well the class breaking at least.

Unless they are planning to change that soon.

I agrew darth, im positive that they evaluate almost everything they do in how it affects SC sales. I do take heart that these new cars (chiron porsche skyline etc) will greatly increase SC sales and lead to them creating even more player requested vehicles.

In other words, a co-op Capture job.

On the subject of weapons, other than something radically different like a flame thrower, what other variation of what we have would be "new"?

A Heavy Bolt Action Sniper that kills in one shot with heavy armor that has a low rate of fire.

A new AR that has a 3 round burst would be really interesting because it would reward you for accuracy and punish you for spraying.

Dual wielding "twin guns" like from San Andreas would be fun in my opinion. (Pistols, SMGs and the double barrel shotgun)

More heavy weapons like a Chainsaw, Flamethrower (like you mentioned) would really satisfy

How about a Heavy AR that is semi auto and unlike the marksman rifle, you have to pull the trigger every time you shoot.

A shotgun based on the SPAS-12 as seen in Vice City

A more powerful rocket launcher (which gives the green light to de-nerfing the tank).

An M60.

Katana.

The SCAR.

There were some other cut weapons I can't remember the names of right now.

Yes! The SCAR!

How about the thermite mine from the pacific standard heist as a throwable that you can detonate?

It could be effective for ground players to throw onto the hood of armored vehicles like the hood of an insurgent and immobilize it.

I really like the quick throw mechanic so it would be nice to see a flash grenade in my opinion.

If the next DLC has military aircraft then it needs to include weaponry to destroy said aircraft.

Oh God. Another weapon to absolutely rape helos, and do jack sh*t to the jet. I'm all for weapons, but, if that weapon isn't at least 98% effective against jets, I'm going to drown a gold fish, then quit gta. Serious face.

^I'm still not giving up on the campaign to make helicopters great again. Had a good start over the half year its been up (200+ likes, 125 votes on the support site). Still, I want to do all I can to grow it, and to get more people voting it up and emailing Rockstar about them.

I'm now emailing them pretty much daily myself lol. Want to do everything I can to keep it growing.

The Import/Export Update added 8 new instanced missions. (Special Vehicle Work via the CEO Office Computer) They obviously haven't abandoned them.

I have a question what ever happened to that leaked dlc list a few months back, the one that said we would get liberty city and north yankton map expansions? And exotic pets does anyone remember that?

no thats like saying the lamar missions are what we were looking for

And north yankton the only real part is that one road you take on the intro heist in singleplayer. It's like the bank in the intro of gta 3. If you mirror the north yankton map some of the roads are exactly the same as some of the roads in vinewood hills.

Yes to all of these. Also 3 round burst pistol. We're missing assault and sniper rifle variations, and shotguns. More of any of those would be welcome.

The 3 round burst rifle could be the "Military Rifle", 3 round burst pistol could be the "Burst Pistol", the bolt action could be the "Hunting Rifle" and be based off of the R700, etc. As for dual wielding, I'd LOVE if they did it Max Payne 3 style where I could dual wield various combinations of guns, say, the burst pistol and the heavy pistol, or the revolver and the combat pistol, etc. Or even the saw off shotgun and one handed machine pistols (the Tec-9, Skorpion, etc). The trade off could be you move slightly slower by dual wielding.

I really thought we would get the MP3 style of dual wielding in GTAV before release.

3 round burst pistols remind me of Resident Evil 2. Which is a really good thing. So I'm up for that.

Be happy! It's those brainless people who are paying for our free dlc. The more they buy, the more we get.

New open stand alone contact missions or a mission creator don't fit their business model today in any form. The original contact missions don't make R* any money or serve the purpose of bleeding you dry. The closest we'll ever get is like with Bikers or Import/Export. There are new pseudo missions behind content paywalls AND they'll be in forced public lobbies to tie into the theme of whatever you are playing - some other player can come along and troll the hell out of you and make you lose, fail it and lose money in the process.

That's this game today. What a crappy path R* has taken the game on. :/

The irony to the above statements is that the special vehicle missions are 'traditional' missions, not in free roam and are separate sessions in their own right. The only difference between those and contact missions is how you start them. I wouldn't be too hasty in suggesting wed never get some more in future.
