Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

I just had a thought - what if the (partial anyway) reason for the Ruiner having an ammo limit, is that they'll introduce that to the old armed vehicles? That might be the grand rebalancing some are asking for.

 

If they do, then I hope they give the tank its balls back, as well as toughening up the weedier vehicles that don't need an ammo cap right now.

They need to rebalance everything. Put level requirements on the new weapons, the homing launcher needs a level 150 cap for sure. All the vehicles need to have an ammo limit and the jets need to have explosive rounds removed. Its just annoying how stupid easy it is to jet kill a lobby.

 

 

A 150 level cap for the homing launcher? Don't you think that'd hurt new players pretty bad when they're getting dominated by powerful things that they're going to have a very difficult time taking down?

Thats why I said everything will have a ammo limit. Plus its not fair for players who been in the game since launch and a kid who started playing yesterday can take your ass down in a helicopter in a second. Thats seriously unbalanced. Noobs shouldn't have access to good weapons till they've played enough to realize the work it takes to get to a high level. It'll teach them not to be dicks.Ammo limit needs to come back. This applies to all weapons and hostile vehicles.

Having resupply taken out of the menu, which totally kills the "reality"of the game. Put resupply in the trunk of our personal vehicle instead, adding more tactical gameplay, by constantly having your vehicle near by(for constant resupply) or blowing up an enemies PV to deny them resupply .

 

Having to go to resupply station to stock up on missiles and ammo for hostile vehicles.

 

This would change how reach player plays the game, drastically for some.

 

APB: Reloaded does something like this, one of the mods that you can put on a car is ammo resupply from it's trunk, it works there because there's also a downside to installing the mod, and that's because cargo is handled differently in APB:R.

In APB:R you can't carry anything bigger then a smartphone or a Large Envelope on your person (as in non-visible, non-impeding), anything bigger, say a briefcase or a crate and your character will have to visibly carry it, the bigger the item the slower they go, you can jog with a briefcase, but you're down to walking with a crate, and they will be unable to draw a weapon till they drop said item, now you can actually keep multiple of these items in a vehicle, tho this depends on the size of the vehicles trunk, a coupe with a small trunk won't be able to carry much, while a van will be able to carry multiple large items.

If you install a ammo-resupply in your car you significantly decrease your ability to carry cargo in your trunk, you pretty much eliminate it in most coupes, if you get a mission with cargo, you'll either need to switch cars or work with more then one car.

 

So it works there because there's also a downside to putting it in, GTA doesn't have that, you can't carry more then one cargo item at a time, and it's always on your person regardless of size.

This actually tripped me up once I started doing CEO missions solo in GTAO, the first time I got one where you get three separate small crates it was the sailing yacht which you have to blow up, the Dinghy that's made available to you in that mission is a 4-seater and has more then enough room for all 3 crates that are drifting the ocean, but no you can only pick up one at a time.

Happened again with my mind on APB:R autopilot with flare and cargo drop mission, drove there in my Kuruma on the first mission, walked over the first crate picked it up, went to the second one couldn't pick it up because you can only carry 1 item at a time, walked to trunk of my Kuruma and wondered why couldn't drop the crate in my trunk, and was annoyed when I couldn't do that so I could pick up a 2nd and a 3rd one, and the same thing happened when I did that the first time with a Buzzard.

 

So in my opinion, you want your cars to play tactical sense like that, make them also have sense in cargo carrying capacity, and yes that also applies to vans that visually only carry 2 crates and on delivery magically carry 3, else there's no downside to cars that have resupply compared to cars that don't.

At this point r* should just buy out apb since its been on its dying days for years now. So many good ideas in that game that should be in gtao. Apb had the good ideas but no budget, and gtao has the budget but mediocre ideas in comparison.

Either way its finished... Both Sony and MS have approved everything if it hadn't been then I would be saying otherwise.

I have my doubts on a trailer today. Thinking they'll release the trailer on Tuesday after the content is out.

We may not get a trailer today, but we will get something. They have to at least announce the release date today.

I don't see anyone saying they believe the leak because he disappeared. I do see people saying they believe it because what the guy said about this update and the previous one is accurate so far.

It's R*, remember. There's no scheme repeting itself everytime.

I can't believe it will come tomorrow until they say so, or until it actually happens, because they didn't announce a precise release date. So as far as I know, it could be this week or the next one.

The only thing I'm quite sure is that we'll get the release date and new details.

They could release the update on the 20th and then the Christmas content on Friday the 23th. They also released the Halloween content on a Friday this year so why not do the same for Xmas?
