Gee, how outrageous that they should actually listen to the people playing this game every day for hours.

 

It's blatantly clear these people do not have the interest and passion that we have for the game.

 

If you get a lot of feedback for something, you shouldn't b*tch about it - you should do your job; that of pleasing the fans, especially the long-term fans.

 

Kind of reminds me of Resident Evil. Used to be an old school horror game, but then they started making it about gunfights with other people, etc. Most the old fans kept making it clear they just wanted a horror game. Capcom's response? "Oh, we're sure everyone will be happy. We're targeting a more mainstream audience now."

 

Fast forward a little, and their games aren't selling anywhere near as well as they wanted them to.

 

It's just sad seeing companies act like this. It's like watching someone make the same mistake over and over, you keep telling them they shouldn't do that, but they just won't listen.

The only difference is that hes got info, but it baffles me he chose /vg/ over gtaforums. /v/ would've been my choice to leak info, but I'm not a big /vg/ fan. Sad I came in so late and the guy is gone. I would've loved to ask him some questions. But he answered my question about the f*cking PV delivery system. I understand that they don't f*ck with old systems, but damn they need to find a work around for that crap.

I read a post saying hes done though? I'll keep an eye out, I definitely want some explanations about some sh*t. But he revealed a lot, I think overall whos against the community wanting content is the damn art team. From what he says, the art team is anal and thats probably why it lead to GTA being so bland up until this point. Its reaching its end and the art team are saying f*ck it.

Working on the game and just being a player are 2 different things. This guy seems to be more of a player who also works on it. From what I hear many people who work on the games don't ever bother playing it and discussing sh*t about it. So when players kept demanding more garage space R* probably figured 10 more slots should due. Now we are at 6 garages with 60 spaces worth and people still want more so R* finally said f*cking fine here.

 

If I was a player first and a creator second I would've originally just released a giant warehouse with 100 car slots even if it was unnecessary. Though as a creator stand point with their "art team" they would deem that pointless and waste of time.

No. There are warehouses that store the stolen vehicles, then there are garage expansions for the CEO offices that are up to 60 personal vehicles. They are two different things.

 

"New Vehicle Warehouses will house the results of your importing and exporting operations, while CEOs can also reap the fruits of their labor with expansions to the Executive Office buildings. Add massive Executive Office Garages with up to three floors of showroom quality storage for as many as 60 vehicles, complete with customizable décor and a Custom Auto Shop."

 

The new leaker guy also confirms this, saying the warehouse stores 30 cars, and the CEO office expansion is for personal vehicles.

I think the lesson for Rockstar to take here is, to look at the bits people aren't complaining about. No one's complaining about the new garage - far from it. No one's complaining about an R34. No one's complaining about long hair (the opposite).

 

Doesn't take Einstein to see what these have in common - people have been after them.

 

So even if they can't see why people want things (probably because they don't play it like we do), they just need to have a little faith, you know? Give people what they want - we're the ones playing the game all the time, after all.

Well whoever this guy is, you don't need a genius to tell you that they can't f*ck with old systems.

Because that would create more bugs that devs would like to avoid.

Just like how Last-gen not receiving new content.

Not to mention that devs would like to have some rest from whatever the upper management is forcing them to do and new bugs appearing means managers calling devs in the weekend telling them to get back and fix the bugs.

Really? Still several years later the game is regularly in the Steam top 10 list for weekly sales not counting hundreds of millions in Shark Cards, over a hundred million last quarter alone if I remember their last quarterly earnings report.
