Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

GTA Online has probably been the best game ever, for me. I can play with customized female character, own and customize classic cars and work in wide range of jobs from PvP maches to CoOp heists. That's something that any other game can't do even remotely.

 

Tho 18+ game, GTA obviously attracts lot of younger gamers and (I'm not saying all) they tend to like certain kind of stuff... If R* were any other company, we would only see Hot Wheely super cars and tron bikes added, (like in every other sandbox game) because that's where the shark card money is, but instead (among those) we get stuff like Lowrider update, Pigalle, Yoga Classic, etc. something that I adore, but I cant believe most players would be interested in. R* adding this kind of DLC content and not just content that appeals for the majority of player base that is young, makes me very loyal fan and I'll be buying their games for the rest of my life.

I totally hated Cunning stunt tracks, etc. but just when I'm about to loose hope, Rat Tornado and yoga Classic comes from nowhere, again, something that I really like and any other game would never release.

 

Even tho we've had "tracks floating in the sky" & "tron" updates, I think R* still has some sort of artistic direction with the series that is based on the realism and maybe that's why we have had so great and diverse updates, to keep credibility? Wouldn't there otherwise only be "kid" content = more money?

 

 

(I really didn't meant to say (this time) that super cars are only for kids or that it's "wrong" to like them, so please don't get offended.)

Yeah i'm a big fan of futuristic/cyber punk designs and I know gta isn't the place but as I said nothing wrong with the occasional whacky vehicle!

WTF is that design? Looks like the first thing every kid made in their first class using Blender.

That is exactly what they have been doing. You and I and the people on these forums, we are the minority. Most people, aka kids, that play this game, want outlandish cars. We have to keep the mindset that out of millions of players, we are but a drop in the ocean.

 

Well, then again, we're the only ones voicing our opinion, and actually saying what we want.

 

We could assume that there's this mass of kids (and I'm sure there is), and that they all want those cars (which I'm not sure they do), but it would all be an assumption at the end of the day.

 

I think they should go by what the people who care enough to voice their opinions say - I mean, they're the only ones who we can actually know for sure what they want anyway.

 

this. what rockstar does (if you follow this thought) is just mass producing to "blind" followers without second guessing if it's actually a good thing.

 

a voiced minority can often be way more impactfull then a silent majority that takes everything they get thrown at them.

They are not silent at all actually. They are louder than all of us. They talk with dollar signs.

 

Regardless, I don't think they do too bad of a job balancing what real people want and what will sell cards.

 

Take the Biker Update for example, the Shotoro and Sanctus, those were their card sellers. The rest of the update was pretty decent and clearly took some cues from the petition.

 

There's another forum (for pc players) and lots of people were asking for the "tron" bike a year ago showing the picture of the real bike from reality is is somewhat based on... and there was a tumblr page also also related to clothing (posted here before actually that console players probably ignored) but it got tens of thousands of likes and I am definitely positive rockstar saw that and the bike was a result of what some people did want, and not what they added, though they definitely jacked the price because the bike would be awesome if done right, and it turned out they delivered.

By that logic half of the cars in GTA shouldn't be in there then? Lol. I'm not saying it should be added. I'd rather see a Hermes and Uranus before a very similar Stratum.

Oh they do listen every now and then; I don't deny that. But in general, I have a hard time believing they're not out of touch with what people want. Everywhere I go I see people railing against adversary modes, calling for more balance, etc.

 

Also, I didn't mean to bash the Shotaru itself - it wasn't even really what I have in mind when I talk about Rockstar ignoring us. I actually have a Shotaru and like it, wouldn't be bothered if more like that was released (some might have me confused with one of my brothers, whose profile has a similar look).

Nothing new, besides the fact that Yan stated he thinks there will be a 20 car garage in the next update and 20 vehicles in the next update. He provided no evidence.

I like the car itself because it's a bit of a sleeper. Looking at that, you wouldn't expect that car to be turbocharged or AWD. It's essentially what became the WRX STI. But this is a bit off-topic now lol

IKR? Every single car that's added should be a top of the line supercar because that's what the game really needs more of. I hate that Rockstar keep adding normal cars that are fun to tune up and drive around, they should add more cars that look like they come from the margins of a 10 year old's math book!

Really..nothing against a good ubermacht, benefactor or obey station wagons or a few good looking vans...but that car man...its so boring i think i would even refrain buying one if its as fast as a schafter v12.

You just don't understand it. And the way it looks would be the last reason why someone would buy a Subaru. There's a lot more to this car than looks, especially if you could make it a sleeper. It's hilarious to see a subdued looking station wagon whip a flashy sports cars' ass.

 

And that's not one of today's cars. Things old. Cars didn't lack character then.

Yeaaah, I'm more of a 1950-1970 guy, leaning on the fifties to the mid sixties in terms of car design. I hope the car trend changes soon, giving more leeway to design.

 

Be it a Honda, Chevy, Audi, etc, they all look like placeholder shapes, the sedans specially.

 

I don't know how a 1959 Chevrolet Impala (Voodoo), can end up looking like a 2015 Chevrolet Impala.... I dunno man, too much weight on futuristic/ "practicality" stuff. All I ask is for some slack design wise.

I'd love to collect as many 20 car garages as I can. That's 130 vehicles available, counting Clubhouse bikes!

People dont like the Shotaro...I get it...but tbh...it is based on a real bike. They have added 2 new bikes with the light effects...which was cool on the first one but for the Shotaro it seems a little far fetched.

 

IMO...it wouldn't even have been an issue if they gave people the option to take off the wheel caps...had some realistic custom options & let the folks who wanted a Tron bike be able to select the Tron options...or had a Tron Shotaro and a regular Shotaro...
