Sigh, MrBossFTW always credits the forums when making videos on topics that originated from here. I'm so sick of seeing this stupid sh*t. It's not even relevant either.

Funny enough, just the other day I was testing a lot of these bikes on PC from the IVPack. I wonder if they'll add anything that's brand new.

I also noticed how they used the word"styles" in the dlc description grouping clothes and hair styles into one word could this mean

'Always'. Eh, not really. And 'the forums', like some hive-mind. And I'm not bothered by getting personal credit - I just think it's a bit damn weak that a handful of morons spend time skim-reading player speculation, often misinterpreting/misunderstanding it, spouting it as 'fact' over five minutes of generic footage, and winding up their fanbases into a lather over quite often nothing of actual substance. And then people wonder why so many of the GTAO player-base rants at R* for 'not adding the jetpacks/casino/horses/mansions they promised', after getting fed a whole lot of over-hyped sorta-kinda from clickbaiters. :bored:

 

But personally, I'm more sick of that lot repurposing stuff from the Snapmatic community without permission and/or credit - yeah, some folk don't give a hoot, but others do, and even a Take-Two rep came out and stated that their stance on user-generated content like Snapmatic pics is that people respect each other's work, and ask permission. Relevant quote:

 

"We appreciate and respect all UGC creators and would ask that they respect each other by getting agreement when using UGC they didn't create."

 

 

...aaaaanyway, back on-topic... Those bikes in the screenshot - one looks mostly like the Daemon, while the other kinda resembles the Zombie, but there are several details that don't match the GTA IV Zombie, and the proportions are off, too. Almost tempted to say they're ...both the same bike, some kind of 'Daemon Custom', with interchangeable frame pieces...

Again, I don't see full beards coming any time soon - considering that GTAO hair assets are fixed-shape, immutable things, and meanwhile, GTAO custom characters can have all kinds of chin/jaw shapes, there's just no way to make different beard variations that will fit every possible permutation of character face. That's why all the GTAO character facial hair is limited to stuff that looks almost like face paint (Groucho Marx style! :pp ), even though the single-player characters can have fully-modelled facial hair (...because their faces are fixed, and don't change shape/proportions).

f*cking Neverwinter has more options than GTA and allows a sh*t ton. Then again, different playstyles.

f*cking Neverwinter has more options than GTA and allows a sh*t ton. Then again, different playstyles.

 

 

I never played Neverwinter, but I'm willing to wager that their character customization system isn't conceptually flawed like GTAO.

They could, but it'd require an entirely new system for character assets. Not impossible, either, since hair =/= actual character bodies themselves, so the fundamentals of player characters wouldn't need any alteration, but it's a lot of work inventing all-new 'engineering' for what is a minor payoff in the grand scheme of things - I don't think R* would see the effort as justifiable.

 

Frankly, things like single-player-esque clothing/hair physics would be more likely, simply because all characters share the same bodies and scalps (well, all male and all female separately, because of the two different body types, but still... ;) ). That's kinda the trade-off - stuff like Saints Row IV and Star Trek Online allow for height/build sliders in a way that GTAO doesn't, but conversely, GTAO clothing can allow a greater degree of 'solidity' asd fine detail, because clothing assets don't have to stretch and warp to fit any kind of body shape.

I just hope it's not locked to public lobbies all it takes is one kid in a jet and the fun is ruined for everyone else plus the fact if we don't want to play with randoms we shouldn't be forced to

I bet it is not locked to public lobbies. The specifically mention "co op missions", I think they learned their lesson with the CEO stuff. People didn't like that one bit.

To add to this, I'll use something I posted in some other thread.

 

"The Online characters (mp_m_freemode_01 and mp_f_freemode_01) are streamed peds, with this streamed system you can add new cosmetic items easily via DLC packages. Peds are allowed to use the following slots for outfits (please note they're odd, Rockstar ordered them weird af).

  • head - The head of the character
  • hair - The hair of the character
  • jbib - Under shirts or entire shirts
  • decl - Shirt overlays
  • uppr - Hands
  • lowr - Legs
  • hand - Overshirts
  • teef - Ties / Necklaces
  • berd - Facial hair
  • feet - Shoes
  • task - Duffel bag / accessories
  • accs - Watches / accessores

They online character can be mixed and matched with multiple pieces of clothing, some are restricted by the shopping data files to disallow certain pieces of clothing with another, but that's just R* trying to make things seem more professional (I use professional loosely).

 

These slots are currently filled up with all sorts of clothing, and you can't have, for example, two uppr loaded at the same time. You can have the lashes be a pedprop (Pedprops are the objects that are outside of the model, like hats/glasses/helmets) but then the eyelashes can't be animated for stuff like when the character blinks because it's just a prop."

Ok guys, I like bobbers, cafe racers, choppers, etc, but remember that, in TLAD, we had some custom sport bikes too (and I surely want them back, customizable too):

Why are you posting those? Everyone already saw them billion of times.

Those were found here and were main point of topic for about month.

 

Not everyone visits the forums frequently. This is the FIRST time Ive seen this. I find it intriguing. We dont need backseat mods.

I for one arent that hyped for this dlc. But Im certainly not one of those to cry and bash this because its not what I want. I look forward to the new outfits. Would like some new hairstyles and beards. Hearing its a good chance for an extra garage is definitely exciting.

 

As others are saying, I hope its not dependent on public lobbies. Sometimes you just wanna get on and play with friends while not dealing with others wanting to spoil your fun. I also would like to see some more solo activities and such since there doesnt seem to be any single player content coming.

Would be real cool if they dropped a small feature to hire a laser from merryweather. Like the back up chopper option, but the similar those sent after you from Fort Zancudo when trying to steal without blind eye.

Anyway, the update looks great! as of now, congrats to all of you bikers of GTA, I'm really glad for you...for us...for the game.

 

What do you think the biker themed weapons might be?

 

I mean, we already have a hunting knife, a double barrel and a sawn-off shotguns.

Until a hydra light those boys up! they probably are feeling invincible.

 

This will probably carry to when the update releases, all the way to not realising their surroundings.

 

ALLLL the way to there death screen, im sure alot of biker crews will be going hardcore against the military types. Just imagine it for a second. All out hell will break lose between military players vs bikers.

it'll be cool if you have a choice to put boiler suits on workers, or let them be naked. I assume the head of MC doesn't want anyone stealing.

I want to say that's a common thing in drug operations, where the women there are wearing bikinis. I don't really know anything about that stuff, but I remember seeing that in Fast 5, where all the women there were wearing bikinis.
