Next DLC Speculation Thread (Part 2)

I'd rather do the heist glitch over and over with the security knowing that my account would not be wiped. Why waste time with a far more risky glitch if it's just gonna get you banned? One day of successful farming will net you probably 20 mil or mor0e with the Pac glitch.

Yeah, agreed. I myself find pac standard SUPER tedious and not worth it, but it's still better than a one and done "now i can have everything with zero effor" glitches IMO. And like you say, at least you don't have to worry about your account being wiped from farming a heist

There a specific time R* normally does DLC announcements? I gotta know when to start peeling my eyes.

Well, for a while, R* mostly put out a trailer/announcement post the Thursday before a Tuesday update - so if something's coming on the 6th or 13th, it'll be the 1st or 8th, respectively.

 

...except Bikers completely bucked that trend, so maybe we'll get an announcement Newswire post on some random day before the update, with a brief trailer on the day of the update itself. Or not. No idea at this point.

 

Frankly, I'm just thinking about the launch date itself - 13th is reasonable, 6th is optimistic, 20th is ...cutting it a bit fine before Xmas!

Agree with you both. It can get a little same-ish, but run it with some friends and it's not so bad.

 

However though, the Pac Stan glitch really does get the job done if you just want some quick and easy cash, especially if you're going 70/70 with someone else.

Agree with this completely. Would be pleased to see it announced this Thursday for release next Tuesday but realistically it makes more sense to be released on the 13th.

A lot of these updates have snuck up on me, and that's how I prefer it.

 

It's a lot more exciting seeing something announced when you don't expect it.

The big deal is qabeta, not qabeta2.

 

12 days ago qabeta was updated. It jumped over 100,000 units in its build id in one jump. Nictestbranch had a massive 500,000 build id jump shortly before that. Someone said b4 if qabeta gets a sizeable jump we're 2-3 weeks out from dlc. That means 6th or 13th is lookin even more solid. 6th would be 3 weeks from massive qabeta update. I think qabeta2 is for bug fixes, and qabeta is for content.

Well, nothing's going to drop out of the blue unannounced, and there's nothing left in the Bikers files, so I'm guessing either 'nothing' tomorrow, or some new discounts or what-have-you.

 

To be fair, if R* give us some useful (YMMV, obviously!) discounts and maybe a worthwhile double-money thing, too, that wouldn't be a bad thing at all. Not least with a new update in (probably) a matter of weeks.

IMHO, this weekly stuff is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo dry. I would rather have nothing, really and truly. or new weekly missions or something along the lines of that.

Import/Export update within the next 2 1/2 weeks or so. Speculated to be similar to CEO/Biker. Expected to come packaged with Festive Suprise cars/content.

Speak for yourself. I expect nothing to come out tomorrow, therefore I have nothing to be disappointed about. And that isn't even a forced expectation just so I can have nothing to be disappointed about; that's a genuine legitimate lack of expectation that anything new is coming out tomorrow. My expectation is so low that it wouldn't even be accurate I would be pleasantly surprised if we did get something; it would be more accurate to say I would be utterly shocked if we got something new tomorrow.

Yep, I dont partake in the "hype train"( generally most of the time) so I have nothing to get disappointed over, makes my gaming life a tad bit better.
