and its slow

Who the f*ck expects a vintage bike to be fast?

I swear to god, every time a new vehicle comes out people are always saying "X is slow" and I never have the slightest idea what y'all are on about unless all y'all do is gun it 24/7 and race 24/7 without actually trying to experience the vehicle. This is a HUGE reason why I hate GTA racing. Every "car guy" or "biker" bases what's good or not on how many fractions of a second A as quicker than B. Nobody hops in/on their vehicle and enjoys it anymore.

Pisses me off in the real world too. As if enthusiasts and car/bike culture dying off wasn't bad enough, you have people who claim to be enthusiasts who only care about numbers and how easy something is to drive. "Lol why buy a manual, this PDK is so much faster?" Uh... because I actually like driving?

Maybe people don't like the Esskey because it looks somewhat similar to the other tens of bikes we got in this update? And also, we've gotten 3 vans since the game came out (Paradise, Gang Burrito and Rumpo Custom), and apart from that, for some stupid reason, you can't even modify most vans in this game, so it's no surprise people want the Lost Slamvan and the Youga Classic instead of just another remodeled PCJ-600.

But, what do I know? According to you, if I don't like the Esskey it's because I only like fast cars. :rol:

Shadowfennekin

Is there a shirt with an esskey?

Nope, but I suspect the Youga might give one.

Hopefully something cooler than a bland boring logo on another plain white/black shirt. Those suck

Anachronistic

Point is, I wanted to test it in my custom races (haven't even tried R* ones, might check it out tomorrow) and it wasn't available there. I test the vehicle before buying.

I understood that and was conveying I have had the same problem previously, demonstrating it was an ongoing problem and postulating on the possible issue.

Re:Fun

Thanks for the info. Always interesting glimpsing under the hood. As good to know it is a "streamlined" process in that R* doesn't have to re-publish their games to enable the Essiey like creators do. But also it still is a process that still is subject to human error as somebody has to initiate it.

Well considering you just called the Esskey a reskinned PCJ-600, nothing.

Pleasantly surprised about the Esskey. Cool little bike. Wasn't planning on keeping it, just for a few snaps, but screw it, it's going in the Clubhouse.

What.

Literally none of the bikes look like the Esskey. They're all choppers/bobbers/whatever american cruiser bikes are called this week of some sort. Other than that there's a handful of Japanese bikes that are vaguely similar but still nowhere near as nice as the Esskey. I'm no bike snob and I'm not gonna get pedantic about types of bikes but the Esskey is definitely not 'somewhat similar' to any of the bikes we currently have ingame barring the Enduro and PCJ.

Esskey is sexy af it's like a bike version of the Lynx. Acquired taste. ;)

We know that the next update is vehicle related for sure. I just hope that the Next DLC doesn't have a specific theme, as I would like to see a mixture of vehicle classes. Currently Rockstar are averaging about 15 vehicles per update give or take, that is more than enough to split the car classes.

I did a little list to show the last time each vehicle class was added (because as you can tell I have some free time on my hands)

j2QyAKs.jpg

Red - Bikers
Blue - Cunning Stunts
Green - Finance and Felony
Orange - Lowriders Custom Classics
Grey - Executives and Other Criminals

Disclaimer: I was very bored and wanted to contribute to this thread. The "according to me" section has very little purpose and is in no way meant to cause any offense. Rockstar's vehicle classing is sh*t. There could also be some spelling errors because I didn't bother to check. I have no idea why some text appears to be blurry. please read responsibly.

I think we were misled.

The vehicle based DLC that R* mentioned in the Biker announcement was just about... the Biker DLC, and not another DLC.

It might be weird in english, but in french it's clear tho. It's about the Biker DLC.

Think about it. Biker DLC is a vehicle based business DLC. It was a way to tell it was coming soon, that's all.

And while loyal MCs will fight to expand their foothold alongside black-collar CEOs and Organizations, there’s always another opportunity to make your mark just around the corner. Keep an eye out for high-level, high-risk vehicle based business ventures to spring up across Los Santos and Blaine County soon.

from the newswire post

I think its safe to assume they were not talking about the Biker DLC with that statement.

I'm not agree with that.

The same sentence is in English :

"High level, high risk vehicule based business"

And in French :

"Guettez les affaires risquées à base de véhicules qui vont bientôt fleurir à Los Santos et à Blaine County."

Bikers business are not really about vehicules. They are about drugs and falses ID, ...

We stole crates of products, we destruct crates, we sell crates. Sure we use our bikes and other vehicules to doing that but it's not based on vehicules.

It's not like we just stole bikes everytime, and missions for ressuply are just a way to make your product. Even here, you can buy this material without doing anything. Not very risky or vehicule based on.

I think anyone who thinks that line is referring to the biker DLC needs to go back to school and take a lesson on reading comprehension.

"there's always"

There's always another opportunity.

Not "there will be another opportunity".

So they just mean there are now a lot of possibilities to make our mark.

Otherwise that's a very weird way to tell us about another DLC.

Anyway I won't believe so until we get proof of it.

Biker DLC is about bikers, motorcycles... We're supposed to play in motorcycles club and use motorcycles to get around and make businesses. That's vehicle based. That's vehicle themed.

That's like saying the "cunning stunts" hint was meant for FAFF. Because owning warehouses and selling drugs was a "stunt". See how silly it sounds?

Biker DLC is in no way based around vehicles. They introduced new motorcycles, but the essence of the update is: trafficking, organizations (biker clubs, duh) and group-oriented activities.

R* hinted at "another" business venture where you can make money from cars. The only money made from cars during Bikers update was the easy as 1,2,3 car dupe glitch that involved the clubhouse; and I'm pretty sure R* wasn't talking about that.

English is their first language. They made the English post, then translated it for all the other languages.

It is much more likely that it just did not translate well to other languages.

You left out 'around the corner'.

Which essentially means "there will be another opportunity".

...sneaky edit, Mach' ;)

Half of me believes they'll put out a minor Xmas update (like the one where they gave the Slamvan, Rat Truck, and racecars), or just simply enable the old content again via tunables.

The other half thinks Xmas content will be included in the next DLC, whenever that may be (this month even?).

If you use that logic, then we can say that almost every update (aside from Flight School and the PvP ones) has been based around vehicles. Hell, the game itself is vehicle-based, it's in the name.

You have to understand that R* drops subtle hints that will fly over the casual player's head. And if you don't understand that, then you need to brush up on your English, learn how to take hints or a combination of both.
