Anyone thinking the "high level" quote on the newswire and instant character 2 to level 120 is a ?well? disguised hint and ploy meaning the vehicle selling update will be level locked to 120+... meaning people with low level character ones are going to have to shark card it up to equip their character 2. I have seen right through rockstars plans. Rockstar don't say or do anything without a money making reason behind it.

So here is my concern. It appears that gta online will continue to be supported for a while, even with RDR coming out. However, here's the problem. GTA online is getting slower and more laggy? Are we reaching the threshold of next gen systems? More and more people are complaining about performance issues

I blame p2p server network. It relies heavily on ppl's internet connections, but its way cheaper to implement. When im in a lobby with a cpl ppl it works really well, but in a full lobby my fps drops to 15 or i get kicked to a solo lobby. Never use wifi unless its the only way. Everytime we heist w a wifi'er they usually get kiked by the server. 75% of the time it happens everytime

That newswire article said "right around the corner" so I would expect the update before the end of the year. Yeah, yeah, I remember they said heists would be "soon". Newswire seems to bundling up update information by two's, IGG 1 & 2, felonies & stunts and those came out in rapid succession, so I'm HOPING for a December release, bundled with whatever one vehicle we get for festive.

 

And where I sorely miss the vigilant mode.

 

 

Car chases were the primary reason why I got into GTA in the first place, however I argue that vigilante mode hasn't really been the same since III. In vice city, with spike strips and bad guys armed with automatics 4 at a time, I had to do those 2 or 3 at a time until I found the hunter. And in San Andreas, luckily gone were the spike strips but it wasn't until I found the police bike so I could shoot forward or the hunter again was I able to complete those.

 

 

maybe it's that damn tuners video but I really hope for a Fast and the Furious/ Gone in 60 seconds type update.

The excitement would have been unreal..

You can always stop reading threads like this and the threads having "leak" in the title that would spoil things like this...at least that is the case for the average minded people.

If you would try and are a lot on the internet, in the worst case...you probably would know of the possible vehicles their name and a few looks...but beyond that you definatly could avoid reading about what makes the leaks credible and any further speculation.

If the surprise was spoiled completely for you, blame yourself for reading everything about it.

To be fair, it's hard not to see leaked vehicles if you are just scrolling throught Twitter for example, which is where all the vehicles leaked first.

Again...does that not depend on what pages you go ?

 

Nah it doesn't work that way on Twitter. If someone you follow retweets pics of leaked cars, you see it on your feed. Even if you block the original poster, you still see it if someone rt's it.

For example I don't follow Crewboss, but I know he posted the first pics of the new cars because so many of the peeps I follow retweeted him.

Shame...though still...you can always temporarly unfollow people or not go and look how legit the source is.

That is true, but you never know who is going to share among the community when you are talking about thousands of people.

 

I would also bet that the vast majority of people don't care to find out how legit a leak is if someone trusted said it, like Yan, Fun, Crewboss, even myself. They just see the cars and assume it is legit.

I don't think so - I think they're just not doing things very efficiently, plus with the P2P setup they have it's never going to be as smooth as if they had dedicated servers.

 

If the standard PS4 (not Pro) and Xbox One versions of the new Red Dead look anything like that trailer did, then I don't think GTA V can be pushing them to their limits at all.

Hmm; am wondering if there was anything in the trailer that indicated what hardware it was made on (because it makes a difference)? Not saying that the PS4 or XBox One don't look good; just makes me wonder if it wasn't done on high-end, in-house hardware other than a standard console.

 

Kind of like how burgers always look perfect in the ads; but picking one up at the drive-through and unwrapping it reveals something different...

 

Anywho; I'm glad R* isn't Ubisoft, or things could potentially be much worse right off the bat. lol

The ps4 pro and skorpio supposedly have double the graphics power, so prob not gonna look as good. They can run 4k also, so i wonder if it was shown in 4k or 1080?

RDR had the PS3 exclusive gang hideout, so I bet it's going to be more than just a cosmetic item.

 

As for the vehicle based businesses, my money is still on December 6th. They're likely going to be adding more content for the Festive Surprise 2016 event, so there'll have to be an update prior.

 

And, I'd hold my breath on Deadline being part of the Halloween Surprise event. I don't see them adding both Lost vs Damned and Deadline for Halloween. It'll likely be Lost VS Damned and Slasher ×2$/RP for the Halloween event.

 

Deadline, Kill Quota and the remaining vehicles and clothing will be for November's events. If they announce the Halloween event is another two week event, October 25th - November 7th, then the November events will likely be two week events too.

It was brought up as an example of how the PS4 and Xbox One probably aren't maxed out by GTA - and that, considering that, there'll be more DLC for GTA.

Here's my prediction for the next few weeks...

 

October 25th - Lost Vs Damned Adversary Mode, Sanctus, Youga Classic and Tornado Custom. Double RP & GTA$ on this and the Slasher Adversary mode along with the return of last year's Halloween masks and other items. Probably some other discounts as well.

 

November 1st or 7th - Deadline Adversary Mode and respective outfits as well the Shotaro. Double RP & GTA$ on this for another week or two. Some discounts on the side as well.

 

November 7th, 14th or 21st - Kill Quota Adversary Mode, the Vortex and Esskey. Double RP & GTA$ for this for a week or two as well as discounts on other random items.

 

The last few weeks before mid-December will consist of some random event weeks before Rockstar officially announces the High Risk Vehicle Update (placeholder) w/ a trailer on December 8th for release on December 13th. The Festive Surprise for this year makes it return a week after this and that's the end of updates for 2016.

Gta5 was designed to push last gen to their absolute limits-which it ended up succeeding. But then it was graphically remastered with bunch new features. It was never designed to push the limits of current gen as it wouldn't be out for some time after release.
