I'm genuinely hoping a car import/export update is coming and that we'll finally get a vast variety of quality new cars. Cue gfen.

Me too. Here are a few of the vehicle based businesses that comes to mind:

 

Vehicle Based Businesses:

 

[*]Chop Shop (unlike LSC, the Chop Shop pays for stolen high-end vehicles)

[*]Exporting stolen high-end vehicles (move over Simeon and your list of low end cars)

[*]Repo Business

Vehicle Based Businesses:

 

[*]Ambulances - Paramedic Missions

[*]Delivery Vans - Robbery Missions

[*]Fire Trucks - Firefighting Missions

 

 

Law Enforcement Vehicles - Vigilante Missions

 

 

[*]Taxi Cabs - Taxi Missions

If they're going with vehicle based businesses, I'm still hoping we can unlock rewards like in Vice City, San Andreas, Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and Chinatown Wars. Finishing x amount of rounds in a row could unlock unique clothing, weapons, or abilities. For instance:

 

 

[*]Complete 5 rounds = Mission related clothing (Firefighter/Paramedic/Police Uniforms, etc)

[*]Complete 10 rounds = Unique Weapon (Defibrillator, Fire Extinguisher, Police Revolver, etc)

Can't have ol' fashioned Vigilante missions without the good ol' Hunter 😉 #JustSaying

 

As for the paramedic missions ... Oh dear god no, just reading that brings awful memories & makes my stomach hurts lol

Just logged into a session spawning in my clubhouse and I end up here. We can safety assume the clubhouses are in fact below Buccaneer Way.

 

^^ Interesting--kind of like when I recently (pre-1.36) spawned into a session and ended up here (and my spawn location was not set to "random"):

Dare I ask the question WHY R* uses annoying animations and disconnected below-ground locations instead of real doorways, interiors, staircases, elevators, etc. where they really are in the map?

 

I would love to see GTA Online operating like a real open world game.

 

The excuse that there's not enough RAM or CPU power or network bandwidth falls flat on its face, considering ancient games had ALL those things, and with microscopic amounts of computing power and resources.

 

 

I believe the excuse is that R* only made one base cell for garages/apartment interiors. It really isn't so it can load you to a different map, so it can save on performance, but to load the specific vehicles + modifications on those vehicles for you specific character. This helps to avoid a myriad of conflicts that would otherwise show up.

 

For example, if we had the true open world experience where we just automatically entered our property interiors like in GTA IV, there would be some serious conflicts with other players that would, almost inevitably, own the same property. Thus making custom car storage nearly impossible, and some of the customized interiors in the yacht/office/clubhouse almost non-existent. Having it to be enterable in real time, instead of separate cells, would seriously limit some aspects of the game while only providing one benefit. By having cells for personal properties, it allows greater freedom to the player so they can store 60 vehicles on a character, so they can have the "customized" interiors for their business properties.

 

This is why there are only model cells that glitchers can get into. It isn't specifically your garage/property, but just a model, which is why most of them can never actually see your vehicles by glitching, or see your specific selections for you office/yacht/clubhouse. The rest is just mere metadata until the player enters a specific interior they own, or were invited to.

Arthur and I were speculating what the next business DLC should be like. Here's what Rockstar teases:

 

"Keep an eye out for high-level, high-risk vehicle based business ventures to spring up across Los Santos and Blaine County soon."

A lot of exciting ideas spring to mind. Let's hope that, opposed to typical Rockstsr fashion, that they don't find a way to butcher a potentially great concept. Here are my ideas:

 

1) First of all new content (cars!) is the most important and so I hope we get at least 8-15 new cars. No other vehicles except special shipment vehicles. Just cars. I've been dying for a pack centered around just cars. These can range anywhere from tuners to exotic classics and hopefully some more refined luxury, sports and super cars. All of these will be featured in the business aspect of the update but in order to buy them for yourself, you have to unlock them as you progress through the business. Most cars have uniqur customization options to make them even more special.

 

2) Now let's get down to business, literally. Import/export GTA San Andreas style except a lot more serious, challenging and diverse. You can buy chop shops. They're for storing and eventually shipping stolen cars. You also can purchase three main types of car shops for yourself across the map that serve as storage for ten of your own cars. They'll also feature a million dollar optional shop to customize them. You know, like bikers. Three styles. A tuner style main shop, an elegant stype main shop or a classic/muscle style main shop. Costs vary but you CAN switch up styles whenever. Shipping and selling cars proves to me very difficult and you have to be careful. Not only with shipping but loading onto the ships and exporting. However prrofit can be extremely rewarding. Each chop shop of cars can hold ten ready to sell. Profit can vary from the low millions to almost tens but will be split up across your mates who helped you and a cut system like heists is how that works. And again it's not easy and any damage done to the cars you ship via armored and protected ten car carriers will be decuted from income during shipment. And don't get me started on stealing. Sometimes using a Cargobob will be the only method available. Investing could cost you millions but you will make bank, maybe even break it, if successful and smart with your money.

 

3) Car clubs in session of up to 8 members.

 

4) Some other sh*t and activities, idk tbh.

Oooh man, that'd be very cool & completely fit the theme.

 

It could be an opportunity to add new Cargo planes (a C-17 based one & an updated Titan) & include em in the sale missions. i.e. Fly a cargo plane full of high end cars from LSIA to say a yellow corona north of Paleto Bay, than a cut scene plays & you are back flying in the other direction back to Los Santos...

 

Perhaps, maybe even a gutted bus to smuggle cars in *cough*Italian Job*cough*

but in order to buy them for yourself, you have to unlock them as you progress through the business.

Importing/exporting vehicles is my most wanted DLC. Hope it's true. Would love to have to search for vehicles like Sunshine Auto in Vice City.

Whatever's coming, I hope Rockstar continue the trend they've started in the Contracts and Business Setups of opening interiors and using DLC vehicles in freeroam.

I got to drive a Tampa on a business setup for a President the other day, plus drive a LWB cognoscenti stolen from a target in Weapon of Choice, apparently the SP police cruisers spawn in a certain biker work as well. Being able to access Tequila-la-la, the police station and the Lost hideout is pretty cool too.

Plus the implementation of stealth missions into freeroam opens up new opportunities - I know a lot of people don't like it but I could see Rockstar adding a mission where you need to get cars across the city to the export docks like in that one Lamar mission. The possibilities for an import/export DLC are endless.

Be a good way to being back cars from GTA IV. Super GT, Turismo, Contender, Bobcat, two door Rancher and all of it's variants, Esperanto, and maybe introduce some new cars like an Issi Hardtop, Comet Cabrio, cars like the Alfa Romeo 4C or 8C... Has the potential to be one of the biggest updates for petrolheads/gearheads.

The lowering your car method, a.k.a. "stance" was not a glitch it was an effect on cars where if you kept shooting at them the suspension got all jacked up. It was patched out because of cheaters who used it as an advantage for racing but Rockstar responded to the stance issue promising they'd figure out a way to add stancing in the next update. It was likely intended if tuners is coming.
I was thinking tuners might be next but only because someone said that the Cunning Stunts bikes were foreshadowing the Bikers DLC so maybe the youga classis is foreshadowing the tuners?

 

I'm having trouble understanding how the youga classic is a tuner in any sense of the word

Yeah was thinking the same then I remember seeing some Japanese guys racing around in old dodge vans I think there is a fetish for it

I'd play the sh*t out of whatever it is that'd give us a legit police outfit. :)

 

And it'd be dope getting full health regen unlock from the Ambulance activity.

It's a completely new/separate car.

 

Wouldn't matter anyways. The outcome would be the same. Either you just buy this new Tornado straight from the website, or you drive your old one to the shop, pay $400k to "convert" it.

Yep, definitely separate, from Southern San Andreas Super Autos - has an individual website description, costs $378k.

 

As for what's coming tomorrow (in theory...), I'm guessing maybe three of the unreleased cars/bikes - ?

Only thing I wonder is if it uses the topdown view I talked about a while ago (https://twitter.com/Yan2295/status/772596906333724672). If it does, then it's literally the same thing as Don't cross the line. Also curious to know what kind of maps and props will be used for this.

They have been traditionally around the same time that Updates release, but here lately they have been kinda crazy with their tunable updates so who knows.

What we got has to last to January. November is a long, cold month with nothing to do outside because it gets dark at like 4pm.
