Well, we didn't for the Stallion/Dominator/Gauntlet, since those came on Day 1 of the update - meanwhile, people didn't find the Buffalo straight away, IIRC, and there was a lot of consternation as to whether it was indeed coming. Might be the same for the Lost Slamvan, if anyone can dig up the same info for it - ??

Not just that, when you quit/switch from it the switching screen is there aswell.

I may be being very hasty here but my game has been raining for a few in game days now, anything to do with the Halloween update? or a seasonal change? or grit to go with the biker atmosphere? or absolutely nothing?

Likely nothing. If someone has in the session has recently finished the Deliver EMP heist setup mission, there used to be a thing where the game would be stuck with never ending rain in that session. Idk if that still happens or not but your issue may be similar.

I think for any of us guys wanting bigger beards to be added we can kiss that goodbye, wouldn't have been a better update for them than a biker dlc. Lol

I'd actually like that... thunder + rain lasts like less than 5 minutes in game.

Of course not. We'll probably get Halloween, export/import and end of the year snow.

Well, considering that the Ghost Rider-esque Sanctus and 'Mystery Machine' Youga would be logical new vehicles for Halloween (this year's equivalent to the Lurcher and Franken Stange), with the other vehicles possible coming out in weekly waves, like the extra Cunning Stunts vehicles*, that means that unless R* decides not to have some kind of Festive Surprise this year (unlikely), then there's got to be another update - even if just a smaller one for the Xmas stuff, not as something bundled in a larger update.

 

But odds are, going by the last two Decembers, that there'll be something, if only a new vehicle and whatever this year's Christmas login bonus mask/clothing is. 2014 had a smaller Festive Surprise, but with 4 cars, 2 weapons and the stocking balaclava. 2015 had fewer items (just the Tampa, plus the pajamas, caps and abominable snowman mask), but it came as part of the same title update as E&OC. Could go either way, but I say it's unlikely we'll go through from now to the end of 2016 without any updates of any kind.

 

 

*this makes me wonder, for all the folk wondering about when (if ever) the Lost Slamvan might be coming - remember that the Sprunk Buffalo was released after the initial launch of Cunning Stunts, along with all the other, newer time-locked vehicles. Only difference being, people didn't see it coming, because while things like the Drift Tampa and Lynx were freshly added to the game files, the Sprunk Buffalo was in since the game re-launched on current gen, and so there was nothing new showing up in the files. Maybe there's a chance of the same for the Lost Slamvan - ? Don't hold me to anything if it doesn't - just some reckless speculatin' on my part!

That's what I've been thinking. Someone said they updated the interior in the back, and that when trying to drive one during a gang encounter it had a new message that said "you don't have access to this personal vehicle."

Unfortunately, that's more of a prohibitive thing due to the way character creation works - again, hair being fixed-shape solid assets, character faces can have a range of malleable shapes and proportions, and so there's no way of R* making long, full beards that function like proper hair (not like facepaint, like with current GTAO facial hair) to fit every possible facial shape, since hair doesn't warp/conform to fit characters.

...it's definitely purchasable after playing the upcoming 'Deadline' Adversary Mode, at least. Judging by 'vehicle' (singular) and 'outfits' (plural), I'd guess that the outfits come in a range of preset colours (need to have suitably TRON: Legacy light blue, white, orange, and yellow!), while there's just one bike that you can respray at LSC (with glowing secondary colour stripes).

That TRON mode will be f*cking awesome. I wonder if we'll get the discs used in light cycle battles since we can melee on bikes now.

We're in luck - the in-game description, straight from Fun's Tweet:

 

"0xAA40ACDC = Adversary Mode Deadline is available. Play Deadline to unlock an exclusive vehicle and outfits for purchase."

 

So yeah, outfits and the bike. I'm guessing 'outfits' = multiple colour variations on that suit.
