So far, they've been giving event weeks in the same or near similar order of when some of its contents were originally released.

 

August 26 - September 1, 2016: Freemode Week - Double GTA$ and RP in Freemode Events, originally released on September 15, 2015 (included discounts like the Sultan RS upgrade or Pistol and Assault Rifle discounts don't seem to be too obviously connected other than having real cheap options to guard yourselves during the events).

 

September 2 - 8, 2016: Sunday Drivers Week - Discounts on Benny's Upgrades and Benny's Mods, accompanying the Lowriders updates with Lowriders, originally released after Freemode Events on October 20th, 2016, and Lowriders: Custom Classics, originally released on March 15, 2016.

 

September 9 - 15, 2016: GTA Online Bonuses - Discounts mainly on Yachts, Offices, Properties, their Customizations. Accompanying both Organization updates with Executives and Other Criminals, originally released after Lowriders on December 15, 2015, and Further Adventures in Finance and Felony, originally released on June 7, 2016. The playlist included Double RP and GTA$ for Adversary Modes ('Running Back', 'Inch By Inch', 'Cross the Line') that were released all at different times, but still keeps with a sort of 'measurement' theme. The Banshee 900R upgrade was also discounted, being originally released with the January 2016 Update, which may have hinted that we would be getting the current event week for semi-war-related bonuses, as the 'Drop Zone' Adversary Mode was released in the same update.

 

So it's not like the past few event weeks couldn't have been predicted ahead of time. What's next after this event week is anyone's guess (if anything), but I can't imagine it would be anything for Valentine's or any of the other Holiday updates. We've already gotten quite a few Stunt Race event weeks when Cunning Stunts was released, so unless they do a general week for Races, I can't imagine it would be that either.

 

Rockstar may start holding events for Job types that have yet to be treated, or perhaps even combine Jobs and Adversary Modes with similar gameplay and/or themes, or do something else entirely.

Drop Zone is fun with full lobbies. Probably my favorite adversary mode. Parachuting actually does pay well with many competitors if you win or place high (for how long it takes). Some jumps you will be able to make $10-$15K in two minutes if you have enough people play. Most people suck at parachute racing so I see it as a good opportunity.

 

I don't understand the hate for these update weekends. It is not like they are doing these instead of new DLCs. The event weeks are every week and they will continue every week whether there are DLCs or not. How can you be mad that there are weekly discounts and some opportunities to make extra money? It is almost like people are mad BECAUSE they exist not DESPITE the fact that they exist. Even if you don't like the items discounted or the jobs offered how does it hurt you?

But although your "sources" are always wrong and you make your assumptions right after something was found in the gamefiles you're still doing the same old silly dance as if you were holding a marksman rifle. Don't know what to tell you brother. I got told some info from someone I trust, which ended up being the same info Yan eventually announced. I'm not assuming anything, just relaying information. I never claimed to be a leaker (not seriously anyways) nor do I claim to know anyone on the inside. I am just a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy. Oh and btw, I knew all this before any code was found, not that it really matters.

yeah I always thought this way. R* was giving us all these discounts , all these money making opportunities , so there´s definitely something in the air (or maybe they just want to boost shark cards sales , possible)

anyway, I m enjoying these Event weeks a lot , there´s usually at least 1 discounted thing that I buy every week ( discounted Tyrus , discounted benny-sabre , and today the Hydra) , and those double $ & RP events are good too ( but the double RP got me everytime : i m lvl 250 now and I m not that "skillful" player, especially in adversary modes )

so Halloween update is happening for sure (hello,Franken Stange ) ,biker DLC is happening too... but i think that the next DLC could be "war-related" , we get many warstock discounts lately ..... I assume everyone got a buzzard or hydra now...
