Pranjit Das
Hi, So I'm again got into another problem! I'm using GTAall.com website from almost years (since I started modding GTA games) and I have no problem with the site or any of its links at all. I have also downloaded countless GTA SA, VC and III mods from this website (GTAall.com) and I have no problem with any of them at all! Recently I scanned the whole GTAall.com website URL in VirusTotal.com and one antivirus "Dr web" detected the site as malicious, I rescanned the URL countless times and the same antivirus (Dr web) detected the site as malicious every time! The result was 1/67, and safety reputation was about 32 (safe rating). There is no virus name, nor malware name or in other words, no specific information at all! Just written as "Malicious site" (or something similar, no virus name or detailed information). I also scanned several other websites (like GTAinside.com etc) in VirusTotal and none of the antivirus detected them as malicious, only GTAall.com detected by the same antivirus "Dr Web" every time! Now I don't know it was a false positive massage or real warning, I scanned several other links from GTAall.com and all of them detected as malicious by the same antivirus "Dr Web". And now I'm confused, that how is it possible for every links to be malicious? It sounds like a false detection, but I'm still worry about it!! Please help me, I have no idea it was really a false positive massage or real warning, since I'm browsing the internet from my phone, so I can't check any of the links with my PC antivirus (my PC don't have Internet connection at all). So I used VirusTotal.com as a antivirus in my phone, I scanned everything (included downloaded files, archives, links etc) in VirusTotal as its the only virus/malware scanning ability in my phone. Please explain, that GTAall.com is really a dangerous website or its just a false positive massage? Again I have no problem with the site at all, everythings fine (expect the detection) and only one antivirus "Dr Web" still detecting the site as malicious. Please reply as quick as possible! Thanks for reading!! Edited September 28, 2018 by Pranjit Das
LaDiDa
I personally don't have much problems with those sites, but just for safety I wouldn't use any of the installers and opt for the direct download. Mysterdogg
Webpages with free downloads usually got pop-up generators (they need a way to maintain the site), that's probably what you detected. By simply using a pop-up blocker and following LaDiDa's tip, you're gonna be "save" there. I would suggest you to use Libertycity.net & GTA Inside instead of any other webpages. Those works fine and Russian modding websites are always good for copyright purposes.
LaDiDa
gtainside opens another tab that redirects to some malicious software once in a while as well (with an addblocker/anti-virus, you can avoid this though), so beware. I have no problem with GTAinside, it was fine (no detection by any antivirus) Only GTAall detected by the same antivirus "Dr Web" (from VirusTotal.com), now is the problem related to the antivirus and not the site??? Because it classified every links from GTAall as malicious, and is it possible for every links from the site to have virus or something malicious in them? Please reply...thanks! I never used installers or any unknown executable files, until I'm sure that its 100% safe. And I never used any installers from GTAall.com, in other words I never touched the Auto installer feature at all! I always download the simple RAR/ZIP archive (with only the mod files) and install the mod manually by myself (no auto installing). And before installing, I always scanned the mod (any mod) countless times with VirusTotal.com and also with my PC antivirus, and I only accepted the mod if detection is 0. If any detection comes, I immediately delete the mod and all of its files. And I don't have problem with any mods from GTAall. The only problem is the detection of the site, which is too low and almost considered as safe (only one antivirus detected) but I'm still worry! I hope you guys solve my issue!! I also noticed that there are so many unknown links and adds appear at the end of the mod page in GTAall (when in GTAinside there are no adds). They're not appear directly on the screen but at the last section (which we can see by scrolling the page) Since I'm using Android phone to browsing internet, because my PC don't have any internet connection. And I also never connect it, because I'm really scare to use my PC to browsing net. I never used my PC to browsing net in my whole life!! So is it possible to use Pop-up blocker in Android Smartphone? The default browser (the one originally comes with my phone) already have the the "Block Pop-up" option enabled, so is it sufficient? Please reply...Thanks! Edited September 29, 2018 by Pranjit Das

You have to usually choose between a good/intuitive/complete interface browser like e.g. Google Chrome, or a safe/limited browser like most of the available pop-up blocker browsers. okofficer1111
As long you have an antivirus and pop-up blocker and only downloading without setups it should be ok. SanLiberty and Pranjit Das

Yeah I always use manual installation mods, I never used Auto installer or any mod which required setup to install. Not because they can be malicious, but also because I heard that auto installer actually add some unused strings and keys to the Computer's Reg Entries. That's why I always used manual installation mods (which need to install fully manually by coping or replacing). Also, I always scanned every mods that I downloaded (from every site) multiple times with VirusTotal.com and also with my PC Antivirus, and I only install the mod in game if no detection found. If any detection comes, then I immediately remove the mod (which I also mentioned in my previous comment). And because of this care, my PC never got into any problem (till now), I just little anxious about virus and malware infection because I seen many people's computers infected with virus. But my PC never got into any problem, till today! And thank you very much to all of you guys! Edited October 8, 2018 by Pranjit Das
