OP means different things to you and me, I think.  The flak cannon is ridiculously powerful but completely not versatile. When you're using it, you literally can't move unless you have a buddy to drive you around (and even then, you're moving slow, stuck on the ground, and unarmored).  And with the explosive sniper, you are stuck on foot.  The jet, meanwhile, is nearly as devastatingly powerful (with its cannons) and is ALSO one of the fastest vehicles in the game.  That's the big difference.  I will always fear a jet more in most contexts than an anti-air trailer or an explosive sniper.

On that we agree.  Which is why jets should have been nerfed instead.

Thats hardly a disadvantage, given the fact that you can hide litterally anywhere in the city and still use your weapon to its full potential.

Well I dont fear jets. The few people who still fly them are either pretty chilled or so bad att flying that they crash after a few min.

I fear the explo sniper because you do not see it coming and its extremly easy useability.

There's plenty of jets still around. I took down 4 today with my Strikeforce.

I feel like you have tunnel vision on this issue.  If I was doing a business supply run or sale, I am only in danger from an explosive sniper if I go near enough for the guy to snipe me.  And even if I get sniped once or twice, once I manage to leave the area, there's nothing else he can do.  A jet on the other hand can chase me down anywhere, FROM anywhere, in a very small amount of time.  I can't leave to get away from it - I can only hope it crashes or that I manage to shoot it down.

 

The jet's ability to cover great distances at speed and attack anything from ground level on up is a massive advantage it has over the explosive sniper in terms of sheer versatility.  A sniper moves slowly (though the smart ones will very obnoxiously pair it with the Mk II) and has to be in range to hit me; I can play a game of perpetual keep-away by simply avoiding his range.  He may take me by surprise at first, but after that, the name of the game is just avoiding him.  That's a serious limitation.  The jet has no such limitation.

 

Anyway - I'm mostly retired from GTA Online anyway, and neither one of these is getting nerfed ever, so I've quickly lost interest in this discussion. See ya.
