So I took the risk to use my tool online, during business battle, and there is a heavy single core overload, as you can see - 16.4% out of 16.6%, with other cores tied to it, as all the threads have to be processed simultaneously. You can hope rockstar will balance threads load with next dlc, or just upgrade to cpu with fastest cores avaible, cpu and ram overclocking helps too.

So I've made comparsion of my 2600x vs 8700k, during BB + MC sale and difference is 'uge: 48 fps vs 68 fps

Fast CPU does make difference.

So I just disabled Control Flow Guard for GTA5 and it seems to had have helped me. 25 player lobby but staying above 60fps.

 

Don't disable it for the whole system, this is a really bad idea.

What you're describing has already been covered. The 8700K is getting better frame rates because it has better quad-core performance.

Well, Colombo guy was denying 8700k performance advantage. And it's really about single core speed, as you can see in my previous post.

It's about single-threaded performance, yes, but more importantly what the multi-core performance is like with four cores and eight threads.

 

UserBenchmark dictates that the 7700K has marginally better quad-core performance than the 8400, and the test results seem to mirror that (with a GTX 1080 Ti).

So I finally upgraded to a 2070. The first step. Gonna upgrade to a better CPU in the near future. Propably a 8700k, then it should run better. Game still runs like crap with more than 10 players on.

Don't count on it too much. It's the game optimization, nothing else. There are scenarios when your hardware makes little difference to this game, especially if you're playing at 60 Hz V-sync. You can check your memory for laughs and make sure XMP profile is enabled and you're getting proper clocks. It may help you a bit.

I'm not denying performance advantage, I'm precisely saying that simultaneous multi-org sales with a lot of AI NPCs on the map are breaking the game. Be it 4790k at 4.6 all cores or 8700k at stock, there's a way to drown down fps from 60 if you're using V-stync to low 40s.
