Display Name
Western movies back in the day were like Superhero movies nowadays. Full of cliche moments, bad stories and really boring characters. I really hate them. But you can find a list of recommended movies by Rockstar right here: https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/5311/a-rockstar-recommends-recap-our-favorite-westerns-and-yours.html https://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/9931/rockstar-recommends-the-weird-west-part-one-in-the-twilight-zone.html I couldn't sit through those movies, but those Twilight Zone episodes are great. Quote but note that anyone suggesting "Wild, Wild West" will have their comment removed for abusive behavior. Lol, back when actual human beings worked at Rockstar. Good times. Typhus
For a nice change of pace, why not also check out the 2004 historical movie The Alamo? It's about the famous siege during the Texas Revolution and stars Billy Bob Thornton as Davy Crockett. A really great movie, and has a similar tone to a lot of Westerns, being set around that same age. TexasOdysseus and Onholidayinmyhead

An absolutely perfect movie to get in the mood. I made this post in the mapping thread but I will re-post it here. Spoiler Is Valentine and its surroundings inspired by the Kevin Costner 2013 movie Open Range? 1. Check out the barn at the bottom of the street, the building in progress next to it, the law office building, the dirt main street and the very similar architecture. 2. The barn 3. The church at the back of the town, like Valentine Unfortunately the town is a movie set.The movie was filmed on location on the Stoney Indian Reserve in Alberta, Canada.
