What’s up with the elevated race tracks?

I’m new to GTA5 so I don’t know the history of its PvP racing, but I’m surprised there aren’t more on-ground races.

 

the sky-tracks are starting to get old.

 

it seems there are indeed on-ground courses, as well as ATV and boat races, but these are so unpopular they don’t even have an illuminated entrance bubble on the map.

 

For the “Hotring Series” I don’t mind some of the manufactured raceways, but for most other classes I don’t care for them.

 

i feel like maybe in prior years these were done and kind of worn out, so the sky tracks are the new thing?

"Sky tracks" are stunt races, introduced with the Cunning Stunts update. "Ground races" are just called races. Look in the pause menu under "Jobs", which is where all the other missions are found (before you start another topic asking that).

So hostile.  Internet discussion forums are designed for many things, including people asking questions that may have been asked before by one of the 7 billion people in the world.

 

if you have s problem with that, maybe Internet forums aren’t for you.

 

Maybe come to grips you may have been here so long that seeing something you’ve seen before is starting to tick you off.

 

if that’s the case, that’s your problem.  New members are allowed to ask questions.  You are allowed to not click on topics you will inevitably find irritating because you’ve overstayed your own minds welcome.

All races show up on the map dude, check your hide/show options in the inventory. Though filling these is hard these days, is a shame street racing is largely ignored but the cash/RP from stunt races is awesome compared and players have much game to unlock or buy into too.

 

If not tried yet, try going 'on call' (middle left option on the phone), now and then I can get thrown in to a street race when I select 'race' rather than 'stunt series' (Just in case you've not used that feature - It's good for joining heists rather than wait at a loading screen and all sorts too).

 

A quick Google or search here is always ideal before starting topics though, that's all @whywontyoulisten means. Too often new folk post trivial stuff, and with how many threads you started recently it would have been easier to create one and ask all in one thread, that way the simple stuff like this one can be addressed at the same time and less likely to be clutter.

when i search for races (street races) mostly use the „on call“, but it will lead to a stunt race very often. its a shame that these arent divided since its two pair of shoes. street races are definitly more skill based and are hard to find these days.

So there’s no way to start your own lobby/job and choose which race you want to do eh? Cause if I’m in a lobby thats been having some regular races (down the drain, the commute (or something like that) etc) then the options that show up after the race finishes are usually all regular street races, so if you could choose what race you do that could help but idk if it’s possible?

While I do agree with you to a certain extent, this forum usually encourage you to use the search function so we don't end up with 100 different threads with the same question and also if you have several questions, maybe also use the same thread. I know some other forums where these kind of things doesn't matter but making a lot of topics here with questions that could either be asked in existing threads or the same thread, might lead to a friendly warning to use search function/same thread from one of the mods/staff here

 

we also have a gtao general chat thread on the main page that also kan be used for some questions that maybe don't need it's own thread

 

just trying to give a friendly advice here and not trying to tell you what to do or not to do, it's entirely up to you until/if some of the mods tell you otherwise

Pause menu, jobs, and don't bump dead threads.
