Vehicles truly bulletproof to NPCs?

The various non-mission NPC hostiles are starting to tick me off a bit.

the Nightshark is great (not even fully upgraded it withstands a ton of PvP explosives), but NPC hostiles shoot tight through it.  Maybe slightly more protection than a regular car but not much.

Based on my playstyle I’m always searching for the ultimate DEFENSIVE vehicle, but it seems one can’t quite get complete protection.  I dunno, it would seem that an unarmed vehicle with nearly 100% protection but from which you can’t aggress would be fair.

Smooth Longsack

Carbonizzare with the top up. Your arm can get shot when you aim though.

Npc bullets only.  It's not explosive resistant.

The armored shafter v12 takes two rockets to blow up ad each window tanks 30 assault rifle rounds.  Same for the other armored vehicles like the baller lwb.

There's always the kuruma that is almost completely bullet proof.

I can tell you the two tanks aren't.

Although to be fair I've only been actually killed by NPC bullets inside the tank during that one part of that one mission, I did notice when I was on a rampage earlier I took damage from a cop driving next to me.

I just watched again and I see what happened, when I ran over him he didn't get knocked down so he was phased inside of the tank so he could shoot me.

I think one of the npcs spawned inside the tank and shot you from there. The tanks arent bulletproof from inside

Armoured Kuruma is totally bulletproof, and you can shoot out with handguns/micro smg.

There are a few but the Carbonizzare is the best, much better than the Kuruma for missions and heists as you can shoot 360 degrees and throw sticky bombs. It's all I've ever used.

No, tanks were never fully bulletproof. I've played this game long enough and I can tell you that NPCs can shoot you out of tank in some cases even when they're not as close.

Nope, by NPCs in contact and other missions.

All vehicles have small imperfections and gaps in the model. NPCs can exploit these and shoot you through them.

I remember someone here did a testing with a NPC using 100% accuracy(default for them is somewhere around 20%) and shooting at them while they where inside a armored Kuruma.

They lasted about 2 second under constant fire from the buffed NPC...I think he said that the bullets were phasing through the armor plating of the Kuruma.

So yeah, if the game wants to cheat with you, it will.

It’s been npc proof since launch.

a few bullets sometimes get through but never enough to wipe out your health.

its my second characters kuruma

Totally bulletproof is stretching it a little but you're relatively safe until you have lots of hostile npc close to the car shooting you

or have a shotgun. The Assualt Shotgun is my favourite to deal with them and the DoD without destroying them.

Absolutely, don't stand much of a chance against that. Don't stand much of a chance against players after gunrunning either with armour piercing bullets or whatever it was (don't remember what it was called in game) ;)

FMJ, Full Metal Jacket. Yeah..prefer max ammo over a few hundred bullets though.

I'm wiling to sacrifice my max ammo for Dragons Breath on the AS.

GTA IV's AA-12 was a monster, it had Dragons Breath shells and caused serious damage.. lol

That's what they is called. Have them on one or two of my mk2 weapons and normal ammo on rest of them

Didn't play gta IV but I still have my ps3 so I've thought about buying it and see how it is

The Armored Kuruma and the two tanks are the closest you'll get to bulletproof vehicles. And they're not perfect; the Kuruma's armor has tiny gaps around the windows and doors, while the tanks' armor ends when an NPC clips the barrel of their gun through its collision box. In either case, the solution is to simply not let them get too close.
