Quitting the game with Wanted stars in GTA online

I'd like to know what happens when you have wanted stars and you leave the game (as in go offline OR shut down your computer OR quit the game).

You lose the stars ofc. No busted or something. Lester just withdraws some money or not, depends if you completed the Doomsday Heist.

Well what's the outcome before the heist? and what happens after the heist?

 This is my first hour of playing GTA online on PC, that's why I'm asking, and i know how precious money is when you start, so i dont wanna waste money (or guns ammo) on trying it out

Before the heist: You pay for Lester to remove the cops

After the heist: Lester removes the cops free of charge

but only 1 time per session? the 2nd time you have to pay lester or?

Nah, there is a cooldown I think, but after that it's free again. I used it several times when I made my "rob all the stores arround the map" roadtrip.

Nothing happens, i’m fairly sure you won’t lose money either (and even if it does, it’s only gta$ 100/star).

If you want to lose the cops but not get charged cash, enter an apartment when the stars flash. Or head into tunnels, follow rail tracks. (Just in case you're unsure dude).

Yesterday, I used the Terrorbyte to rob a store. Parked it right outside the door there with the side entrance a yard from the shop, lol.

 

Shot the clerk, emptied the till and lost the cops instantly upon entering the truck that blocked all the cops line of sight. That and after robbing a 2nd store just up the road, the 1st store was open again. (The one in Mirror Park and one near the top end I/E w/h).

 

So I did more. Robbed 5 between each TB mission. Did 32 in the end, lol. Only takes about 1 min per, If that. Might go again tonight and see how many I can get before I get bored, quite a few, lol. Something like $900-$1500 per min.

Nothing happens. It's not like your offline character gets dragged down to the station, shoved in a cell and beaten senseless lol. Would be funny though.

It all depends on if it saves your progress as you leave.

 

I often find my banked money isn't banked when I reload. Wanted levels are not saved and, as far as I have seen, Lester doesn't remove anything from your account if you quit with a wanted level, only if you exit to an activity.

If someone hits me with their car, I'll steal it, hit them with it, then sell it. Even if it's a Stanier. I don't care that it counts towards my daily sell limit, they're too dangerous to be allowed to drive. And gotta love that $500 or whatever you'll get with the damage.

I had an occurrence where I left the game with wanted stars and my active PV (which wasn't anywhere near me) got impounded. That was years ago, though.

This topic. It's, well, got me feeling funny

I love killing NPCs for their cash. Running up on them, hitting them and watching their donut go flying is priceless. The nightclub makes it fun and easy. I always slaughter the crowd and the guard for letting them linger. Can walk right into the club to lose wanted level.

 

Wait for them to finish an ATM transaction for a bigger take. 3 or 4 hundred most times.
