OPPRESSOR MK 2 VS BUZZARD VS HYDRA

Hey!

Been thinking about getting a:

-Buzzard

-Hydra

-Oppressor MK 2

Which would you buy? I do have a hangar for the hydra, but not a nightclub or terrorbyte for the oppressor MK 2.

I think that, at least for early stages of the game - VIP missions etc., AND for fast transportation, Buzzard is really useful - and everything else comes later. In fact, it's my third 'big' purchase, after a High-Class Apartment (for Heists) and a Kuruma.

Pretty much this.  Good advice for someone just starting out. I'd also recommend getting a biker clubhouse and a bati motorcycle.  That way you'll be able to spawn a bike right next to you with no cooldown. You'll be moving around way faster and that helps you make money.

I used to say “buzzard ftw”, but that oppressor mkII looks like the new ‘go-to-tool’: it’s fast, has (limited) overpowerd missiles, it’s small so you don’t get seen as fast in the air. Only downside: you’ll need a terrorbyte to upgrade it and you’ll need a nightclub before you can buy a terrorbyte.

Both can be spawnend at your feet.

I have to admit, I don’t own an oppressor, i’m waiting for the sale before I buy one.

I don’t think the hydra is very usefull unless you want to be a jetgriefer, it has limited places where it spawns and it’s slow in take-off and landing.

Thanks for your responses.

I have an MC and a bati, I would be able to spawn the oppressor in. However, Ill go for the buzzard then.

Depends what you want it for and how much you want to spend. Each of those vehicles has it's own pros and cons.

Overall I'd say the buzzard has a reputation that precedes itself for a reason.

The Op MK2 also has a reputation and, well, fly that sh*t where I can see and I'm taking you off of it regardless of if you are hostile or not. Against MK2s the best form of defense is attack since 99 times out of 100, that innocent looking flying motorcycle will turn and destroy you.

Go Buzzard. Learn to fly the Buzzard, become the Buzzard and you'll have a very very good vehicle for a multitude of tasks, including evading random oversized firework riding trolls.

Don't forget for the MkII, as well Nightclub and Terrorbyte to upgrade it you'll need to have researched the missiles in your bunker first.

(Assuming you want to use missiles that is).

Yup, Buzzard is still the most useful vehicle in game. When you own it, you can have a free insta-spawn one at your feet when registered as CEO, a free (unarmed) one when Road Captain in an MC, a Pegasus one to spawn at airfields/helipads/your office, and you can put as many as you like in your hangar to use as personal vehicles, which you can repaint and spawn around the map.

Buzzard if you play alone, hydra if you play in public. Buzzard is very handy, ceo spawn and all that. You can evade every missile in a hydra just flying circles and will last longer in a hydra than a buzzard in free roam.

Hydra is outclassed by several better-performing new jets that have armour and countermeasures. It was good for its time.

Yep I fly a pyro myself, but most people are not in pyro's, starlings, rogue. Most people who will give you trouble are in the new oppressor or a deluxo, now try dodging those missiles in a buzzard as outclassed as that thing is. Hydra believe it or not can hold up well against anything that is not a dogfighter and vtol makes it boss for business.

Go for the buzzard. You will use it for everything.

The paywall is pretty high to get to the Mk2. You need the nightclub, terrorbyte, terrorbyte garage (basement 5) and the mk2 upgrade bay in the terrorbyte. To get the homing missiles, you need the bunker and bunker research to buy the mk2 missiles. If you don't have a bunker, that's another huge paywall. You're talking long term goal to get all those things unless you buy a lot of shark cards.

Hydra should be a considered a toy, not a grinding tool. So if you want something cool to play with and look cool in the hanger, it's worth it. It's a pegasus vehicle so there are no upgrades to buy except paint when you put it in the hangar.
