The funny thing about griefers (specially jet griefers) it's they attack you thinking you will be a easy prey. Well, when that happens I give them the same treatment, I just get my Lazer and spawn kill them over and over until they leave or go passive or hide in apt. I don't even lose my time trying to battle with tryhards, EWO spammers.

I just don’t, at least not anymore. They’re not worth the time, energy, or the attention.

It was easy for me to counter-grief griefers in a Hydra as their Oppressors were useless against it, but with the Deluxo’s introduction, Strombergs and Fully Loaded Ruiners became the only reliable choices, but that only reduced the whole affair into a drag. Since I deleted the game before After Hours arrived, I can only imagine the frustration of dealing with a passive-popping Oppressor MKII.

Exploding rounds on the Heavy sniper are great, but... Have you tried incendiary rounds? I switched recently and they are godly. One hit, one kill regardless of where you hit them 98% of the time. Between the sniper round and the burn damage, they die, and they die on fire. It's absolutely sublime.

I hide under my passive rock and just continue doing what I was doing (usually jumping between contact missions/heists).

Going passive mode often leads to hilarity over text messages as they try to bait you out.

I remember this one time I went passive mode and followed them around in a vehicle honking my horn constantly.    At one point I got them trapped in a store by blocking the door and just laid in on the horn non-stop.     Talk about pissed off they got. lol

Sometimes I'll text other people in the lobby and end up getting the griefer kicked out.

Sometimes I'll start Haulage and get my MOC.    People don't realize that trailer is indestructable.    I'd had Deluxo's and Oppressors empty their entire missile stock, respawn new vehicles, empty their entire stock again and still not kill me.

Sometimes I'll just keep calling in PV's.    Sure, keep blowing me up, I don't care.    See how much that K/D matters when I cost you hundreds of thousands (10k a pop for any decently expensive car, which I have a lot of) and rank you up a crap ton of bad sport points.

But usually I has better things to do with my life and I just switch sessions.

Dr.Rosenthal

Two days in a row I’ve made nightclub sales solo in sessions with about 8-10 players, I realize the risk but been doing it anyway because why the hell not, I’ve got money anyway.

Both times there’s been Mk2 Oppressors coming after me for no reason at all.

Backstory: Since day 1 I’ve always despised this player-type. I’ve always been a part of the 10% of the playerbase who are friendly at first sight, who don’t immediately pull a weapon when I come across another player. I’ve been killed while unarmed more times than I can count. But I’m also ruthless when it comes to revenge; if you kill me once while I’m defenseless and peaceful towards you, that means I’m free to treat you however I want as well. So if I kill you back 20 times after you’ve attacked me first, that’s all fair game in my book. Nevertheless, I’ve also received an infinite number of butthurt ”Why?” on those occassions, to which I usually don’t respond at all. I’ve made many players leave when they’ve realized they dipped their fingers in the wrong honey-bin. I never attack someone while they’re carrying supplies or are making sales. Except if they’ve attacked me or my friends prior to it. I like to see myself as one of the good guys, but, as stated earlier, I take much joy in punishing tryhards and griefers. We all love to see the bully himself getting beaten to a bloody pulp, don’t we?

Anyway. On the first sale I ghosted and the tryhard on his Oppressor lost me. I finished the sale and went after him on my own Mk2, but because he heard the lock-on he left the session. Just like that. Tough guy, eh?

The 2nd night pretty much the same thing happened. I saw him coming from a mile away so I stepped out of my Speedo. He stopped away from my line of sight, so, I ghosted. He started flying and I could continue with my sale. When I was finished I speedglitched to him and shot him down and then I sniped him a couple times from the rooftops, and then he went passive. He was obviously triggered because he tried pushing my Mk2 off the roof. Like I’d be bothered by that, lol. It was very late so I left the session not long thereafter.

So yeah, that’s the tryhards for you. They don’t miss a chance to attack easy prey but when the tables are turned they don’t want to fight anymore. I’d rather be a friendly player from the start, I get much more joy (almost so much it makes me question myself) from punishing those who deserve it, than building my pointless k/d up by attacking defenseless players. As I’ve said, I’ve always despised those players. They can defend themselves with any kind of ”PvP is central to the game”/”Go play My Little Pony”/”Just doing what the game tells me to” but in the end, 9 times out of 10, they are the true cowards. Spoken purely from experience.

Come to think of it, in a way I’m glad they exist because I love punishing them, lol

Edit: Before someone gets triggered, yes, I knew there’d probably be Oppressors coming after me, been playing for 5 years and I know what it’s about. I’m not mad about it. I just want to illustrate how people like to believe they’re grade A predators while sitting on the Mk2 but when it comes down to it they usually suck.

I fight them back, mock them over their own messages or start fully loaded to insecure them on their harry potter bikes, have fun in my savage( especially when they explode by hit in normal gun Fights or use rpg) and Im waiting that they orbital canon me and leave in passive with salty tears in their sleeping disorder eyes :D

Fun fact:

The whole time I start Ceo missions, earn money in the meantime and in the end of the session Im still +$ lol

I lag myself out again when they come too close, finish my sale in peace and leave them in an empty session. They get mad, I get my money and sometimes some funny hate messages. When they demand an 1vs1, I sometimes invite them to a 1vs1 ... On Canyon Crossing, lol.

I mostly go passive or change session. But when I'm in the mood and there's a jet-griefer I snipe them with explosive ammo. Then they usually cry and whine about noob-ammo.........

Well let me see.....didn't you just fly around with a minigun WITH EXPLOSIVE ammo ???? Fckn CryHard......

I sent a text to one telling them to F off.  Then I blocked them so they couldn’t respond.  Then I went passive.  They activated ghost organization then quit.

One time I shot down a griefer in his Hudra and he couldn’t believe it.  Then somehow I repeated exploding his hydra with several homing missiles from ground.  Dude went ghost and followed me all the way up to paletto bay.  He got one on me, then tried again but I entered my bunker.  I verbally trolled him then left session.

yet another griefer I begged to not shoot my cargo sale because I was poor, and he stalked me the entire same but never fired and flew away.

BTW, Buzzards are great A to B transport, but for PvP they suck as much as a Weeny Issi compact.

What is “lag out”???  And how do you do it?  And what does it do?

I always look for full lobbies to do my NC sales, that speedo is a beast.   Probably 90% of my attackers are mk2 oppressors.  Usually I'll get one or two kills on them before they leave me alone to do my sale in peace.  After which I get my akula out and hunt them down.   Hopefully it will make them think twice about messing with someone else's sale.

On PC: Alt+Tab the game. Open Taskmanager. Go to the tab Performance. Click "Open resource Monitor". Go to the Network tab, right click on GTA5.exe. Suspend process for ca. 8 seconds. Resume process. Go back to the game and find yourself in a lobby with you as the only player. It's also very useful if you are stuck in the clouds ...

Pistol Bobcat

I generally ignore them, unless I'm really bored, in which case it's hilarious to use the Orbital cannon Disconnect exploit on tryhards 😂😂

Met someone last night who began sticky suiciding after I took down his jet, so I teleported north and got the last laugh with a free strike.

I don't mind players who fight back, but if someone is gonna resort to either EWO'ing or going passive in a Lazer, the much lamented Press-to-Win-Cannon is my favourite way spoil their K/D crusade. 😛

'..... coming after me for no reason at all'

If you're selling, the game tells everyone to destroy product, it's not griefing, it's playing the objective.

Game only offers you opportunity to earn some reward, but if you any good at this game, you should know more profitable options to spend your time on. If you going after cargo to make owner upset, that is pure griefing.

not sure if common, but since i have the akula, i go stealth in max altitude, then i fly to the griefer, and go into weapon mode for a few seconds just to make them nervous.

And still, when I get that message, I never go after it but instead carry on with any of the other 7383927 things I can do in the game (that are a lot more fun, rewarding and challenging than attacking someone who’s doing a sale, mind you).

I know it’s not griefing. It’s just plain being an asshole lol

The on-foot players I use for target practice while free-aiming missiles with my instaspawn CEO Buzzard would probably disagree to that. It’s not a killing machine but this is one of my favorite ways to kill other players, just use it for a couple minutes until its armor is gone, dodge missiles and practice free aiming for a bit. It’s fun!

Can you guys come up with another excuse already?

Like, I dunno, own it? I have more respect for a griefer who admits to destroy sales for the lulz than for someone who hides his assholish behaviour behind flimpsy excuses.

Its not a flimsy excuse, it is a solid reason, freemode has objectives, you play them to win, or you die trying.

The game would be completely devoid of fun, if it didn't encourage players to f*ck over others, it's brilliant

Being an ass hole is more fun than anything else in this game though.

Grinding is boring. Trying to chase down an import export car and steal it,  is far more fun than delivering it from AtoB

@A J I’m tired of grinding too, tbh, which is why I don’t do it anymore. Hey, if you think destroying peoples sales is a fun way to spend your time I won’t argue, all I said in my original post was that 9 times out of 10 the people going after sales do it because it’s easy and (like you) they enjoy being assholes.

Me and my friends usually seek out the highest ranks with the highest K/Ds and try and mess with them until they leave (especially if they’re going after other peoples sales using meme vehicles) so yeah, in a way I enjoy being an asshole too, just not usually to struggling players who make easy targets.

I was getting annoyed by a passive abusing MKII a while ago... I was chasing him in the ruiner so he flew out to sea, got back out of passive and messaged me saying come get me pussy. What he didn't realise was I had got on my MKII during ghost org and was parked right behind him when he messaged me.. So I said Look behind asshole and filled him full of missiles.

Usually I just switch sessions.

Lately I don't even bother with populated sessions, keep switching until I get a solo public.

At times I have taken out one of my cars and pretended to be driving to LSC 3 blocks away and let them have an insurance bill.
