Hi all,

Probably haven't played GTAV in around 18 months, though have recently returned to it (this past weekend) to be introduced to yet more vehicles, games modes and properties (none of which I have the funds and finances for). I currently have around $400,000, that was from playing before. I've never quite been interested in the properties; I obviously own an apartment and have done the five Heists, and I've a secondary garage for an additional ten cars, but I don't own any other businesses or properties.

My first question therefore, is (when I've managed to get some funds up) what do I buy? I don't want to invest in everything; just enough to keep me ticking over. I remember doing some warehouse stuff with a friend before my departure, and that was chaotic due to the nature of it (with other players being able to ruin your run). I've heard that the car dealership property alongside the meth lab, conjoined with the nightclub essentially runs itself, requiring the player to simply cash in on the £70,000 per day. Can anyone confirm this?

Also, the better cars lately? I did some races yesterday in my Massacro Racecar and to be honest, it still seemed to do the job which is quite good when it only costs £300k or so, compared to some of the other sports cars in the millions. Got some wins, and multiple seconds and thirds. The supercars however are what I'm more interested in here. I own an Italia Custom (which seems to have the speed advantage over a lot of others, but you need to stay away from the curbs) and I also have a Zentorno (I didn't race it yesterday, are these still any good?)

Looking at the price tag(s) for the newer cars, it's very much implied that the Tyrant, Tezeract, Entity XXR, Tyrus and T-20 are the cars to be buying, but having watched a couple of YouTube videos, there seems to be a lot of praise for the Vagner; just going to show that the bigger bucks don't specifically buy the better cars (even though the Vagner seems to be lacking significantly with it's customization options).

Don't suppose anyone would care to speak up on their experiences with the latest super cars as well?

Many Thanks!

Welcome back.
The mandatory anwser would be to buy a Vehicle Warehouse and maybe Bunker. Money farming really depends of lobby population, there's always a guy who will try to ruin your farm. To counter it, you have to play their rules (play dirty) or learn how to make empty lobbies.

Actually i suck at money grinding, so you better check out guide section.

Just about every car from recent updates have handling flags which make them considerably slower than other cars.

As far as investing, you cant do much with 400k. Try to save up to 2 million or so.

The club will make 10K every 48 ingame minutes if you have full popularity I believe. And to have full popularity you have to do club promotions. Its time that could be better spent doing other things imo.

I brushed through the guide section, though there's so much there. Sometimes it's easier to just ask for specifics. :)

2million is going to take me a while, maybe it's time for me to buy a (one off) shark card. Are all the new cars really that bad per their handling?

I'll have to invest in a Vagner, though I am disappointed by the limited customization (I like that sorta' thing). My Zentorno isn't worth much at the moment; it's just stock, though may get me $200k? And thanks, I will if I remember for the next time I'm on. Flash525 here (same username on PS4/N). :)

I would get a bunker, but not a cheap bunker out north. It's solo friendly and a full supply will always result in a one vehicle delivery for $210,000. You can buy supplies for $75,000 or steal them, go race or whatever you do and come back to do a sell mission. If you do it as a ceo you have the option of ghost organization which is not available doing biker sales. The import/export vehicle warehouse will acquire you to put much more time into it but can make better money if your willing to grind.

Yea the new cars are pretty bad. Its not that they have bad handing but due to the changes they are just very slow compared to older cars.

If you can find a team and try completing some of the heist challenges. You will need a good group but you can make probably over 20  million if you complete them all.

If you were good at heisting, I'd recommend trying to get a team together and do the criminal mastermind challenge. $12m+ if not got loyalty/in order too. That'll buy the essentials and see you with plenty of options.

I'd buy a office, import/export warehouse, bunker, MC clubhouse, coke lab, and nightclub. Facility only if you intend to play Doomsday heist enough - 3 more criminal mastermind challenges there too. And either a crate warehouse to link to the nightclub, but a hangar works and offers aircraft storage too. (And another business, crap for cash making though, IMO). The bunker, coke lab and nightclub will need staff/equipment upgrades, and the club additional storage for loot too.

Pariah for sports racing, very dominant. And the Vagner is a solid choice to start with supers, others are good too, but cost more.

Seems daunting, but if you find a small team, it's really a breeze. And as nothing big is coming soon, there's no rush so enjoy the freedom of just finding out what you like.

It very much is time and … ability; I've done all the Heists before (not straight through mind) with some friends, more often than not my brother (who's got most of his money through racing - he's quite good at it) messes around too much and gets himself killed. He's not much of a mission person, because he knows he can get good funds through racing, and it's something he enjoys.

Getting a component Heist team together is tough going, I've tried through here before (granted, that'll have been 18 months ago, if not longer) though time zones or availability always seem to be an issue. It's hard enough sometimes getting one or two of them finished, and random setups usually have stupid settings in that the host will set his percentage to 60% or something, expecting everyone else to be okay with that? Nope!

As per the Pariah, it's good, those races yesterday I was beaten in, it was mostly that or my brothers pesky 9f (he's ridiculous with it). I'm simply too comfortable with the Masso though, not that I can even afford a Pariah at the moment.

I'd save enough thru heists to buy the Armored Kuruma first.

Then I'd keep doing heists, contact missions and VIP Work to

save up enough for a Buzzard. Next I'd get a bunker, save up

for the Bunker upgrades. Next CEO Office, vehicle warehouse.

By then the cash will be flowing in, you'll be able to make other

choices on your own.

Thankfully the Armoured Kuruma, Buzzard and Tank (as useless as the latter is) are already owned. :) I'm level 260+, played a lot back in the day.

The thing that is really good about the new DD heists is that they can be done with 2,3 or 4 players. So if you've got three buddies online there is room for everyone, but they're not much harder with only two so you can just start. Much less waiting around in the lobbies. It makes a real difference. Plus if you like a big shoot out, the Act III finale is simply sublime IMHO. Plus 1.5m to split between the crew (even if there's only two of you) - granted you need 1 competent buddy and newbies will die quickly. But once you get good you can practically farm the Elite:

Worst advice ever. Don't sell it. It's still one of the best racing cars in the game. I still use it regularly.

Smooth Longsack

First thing I'd do is buy a biker clubhouse. This way you'll be able to summon a bike right next to you. That'll speed up your earning prowess. Next would be the bunker as it's a solid earner. Then buy biker coke and meth business. Then buy the nightclub to capitalize on your bunker and biker businesses.  Once those are in full swing, you'll be drowning in money. Perhaps buy a vehicle or two along the way that will ease mission difficulty. You're pretty far behind. The last things I'd buy,  business-wise, would be the facility, hangar and vehicle warehouse for import export.  Google the 10, 10, 12 method for vehicle exporting and see if that is something you'd be interested in.  If so,  maybe start there as that's easy money but the grind gets very old very quick.  Sorry for the wall of text.  Good luck. You will need to spend a good $30 million to catch up on the DLCs you've been absent for.

I'm getting contradicting information here. 😛 Is the Zentorno still beneficial or not? The only (modified) Super I've currently got is the Italia Custom, which is only really practical for long splits. Zentorno (when modded) is, if I remember correctly, has quite good traction.

Zentorno is a great car but not the best for racing

Top 3 in super car racing is vagner , nero custom and x80

The X80 looks horrible (imo), the Vagner & Nero are okay, so maybe (eventually) I can get one (or both) of them. The Zentorno used to do me well in street races; those involving tight corners etc, so I'm tempted to hold onto it depending on how the Vagner handles.

Does anyone have any experience with the Grotti Visione or Overflod Autarch?

Welome to the forums dude. ;)

To be fair, if you are racing on call and catch up/slipstream is usually on. Pretty much anything can win if you can drive. Ok, the really good drivers get away, but often they get tagged/bumped too. So long as it's fully tuned and got a spoiler, all should be ok.

(Not gonna win all of course, lol).

NO repeat NO supercar or sports car is worth ANYTHING if your sole purpose is to make money. The only car you should have is an armoured Karuma. After that, stick to weaponised vehicles to help you complete missions, resupplies etc. As others have said, try and get a Bunker to make money.

However, if you are able to, get a Terrorbyte THIS WEEK. The client missions pay out 30k each but are double money this week! So you'll get 60k each one. Alternate these with VIP missions like Head Hunter and you can easily make hundreds of thousands in a short time indeed.

Difficult to compare notes, but I love the Visione for looks and general feel, and I have won races in it, yes. It's a bit like the Zentorno in that respect: In capable hands (sorry for singing my own praises, but it is as it is), an absolutely competitive and by now much underrated car. But in equally capable hands, a Vagner, or a RE-7B, or an X80 will beat you in most cases, on most tracks.

Don't sell the Zentorno, by the way: It doesn't refund you much on sale anyways, and since GTAO is not only about lap times, you'll miss driving around with it within hours after selling it :)

Hah, thanks! I generally do race on call. Ever since the stunt races were introduced, it's always a struggle to host a normal race - people just don't join. I've won my share of races, think I'm 700 wins against 1200 losses or something like that; I've come 2nd to my brother in more than enough races to often wonder why I even race with him. He's annoyingly (yet admiringly) good when it comes to racing; he'll best people in his 9f when they're racing Masso's, Pariah's or Elegy's, and he'll best super racers in his friggin' Cheetah!

My sole purpose isn't to make money - it is instead to have fun, and I do most of that when racing (or doing other team activities) though at the moment I'm very short on funds, so need to increase my bank balance before I get involved in more racing. not much change of buying anything this week. :(

If the purpose isn't to make money, then don't waste real money on a Shark Card.  A Shark Card is a complete waste of real money.

If you want to bump up your funds, do contact missions back to back.  Or even better, try and team up with a random online who has a Terrorbyte themselves and ask if you can do client missions with them.  I'm sure anyone who owns a Terrorbyte will be grinding client missions this week (as they're double pay right now).  Diamond Shopping - 60k, VIP Head Hunter - 20k, Robbery in Progress - 60k, VIP Sightseer - 20k, Data Sweep - 60k, VIP Head Hunter - 20k... repeat!  $$$$$$$$$$$

I occasionally play this game just to have fun, so I could care less about grinding anything more. Vastly more freeing, and far less of a headache.

I've never been a fan of copy-and-paste content that refuses to inject new life and variety into game play, while doing everything it possibly can to screw you over.

This is generally me too; I play to escape, and I have [the most] fun when racing, even if I don't win - it's the fun in participation, at least with standard races. I hate stunt races and transform races with a passion, there's very little skill involved in those (by comparison), it's more about luck and judgement. I'll never fathom how they're seemingly more popular than the standard street racing.

In any case, I need to grind (a bit) to get some money together so that I can enjoy the game; I do despise the typical grinding though, I've played some MMO's in my time, and they're quickly become boring because all they are is grind-grind-grind.

That baffles me, too (I admit, though, I do like stunt and transform races, I just like street races more). I can only assume it's because R* has been boosting stunt and transform races via selection screens, and I don't think there has been in recent months (years? ever?) a double-$ on standard races.

Heh, oh you can be sure they have.

If you're in a normal race, come the selection screen, you can almost guarantee that you'll have 3 or 4 stunt races appear, and if they're the majority selection, come the next selection screen you're screwed. If exiting a stunt race, the following selection screen practically presents only other stunt races - it's very rare for anything else to show up. I consider it broken. Would be nice if selection screens presented three sets of features, the first two being content/races created by the host player, the second two being similar races/missions, and the third set being something entirely different.

I don't mind some stunt races, the simpler the better. I've even created some, though they're more using the track elements to create a track over the ocean or other oddly shaped terrain. You've got some creations (Rockstar and Player created) that are just plain ridiculous. Stunt races that flow are good, but it's rare to find those. I'm not convinced Transform races work correctly. The few I've been in seem to group players together again on the transform aspect; players behind me will suddenly be closer, or I'll have suddenly caught up with players in front of me.

Heard someone mentioning the Autarch. It’s pretty close performance-wise to the Vagner but the Vagner is still cheaper and (I believe) slightly better. But the Autarch has the same kind of responsive handling as the Vagner. And I love the Autarchs motor sound! Pure racecar sound to it.

I like the Visione too, but I can’t speak for its performance race-wise since I haven’t raced with mine.
