Is the 'Alderney' chapter actually a Liberty chapter?

I guess this section is kinda dead anyway, but nonetheless, I was so interested for such a topic.

 

So, many people already consider the main chapter of The Lost to be an Alderney City's based chapter. That might be weird to ask, but does the fact that the chapter's clubhouse is in Alderney necessary mean that it's actually a chapter of the said city?

 

I mean, come to think about it, every single member of the chapter uses Liberty City's name. Even the clubhouse's building refers to the chapter being actually a part of Liberty, not Alderney. Some would say that R* didn't put so much attention to it in the first place, but, when we know that they bothered to make specific police officer models for Alderney, yet still use 'Liberty City' as the based city's name of the chapter even when they made TLaD, I guess they had a point in that.

 

So, when we take a look at their business associates, we can clearly tell that all of them work in Liberty City. Even Ray Boccino, who is a capo of the Alderney based mob, the Pegorino crime family, makes his deals and takes care of business in Algonquin. Other few examples are Pretty Boy, Elizabeta, Malc and Stubbs.

 

My guess is that The Lost members competing in Alderney City's clubhouse (which seems the main and most powerful chapter back then as well) actually consider themselves to be a Liberty chapter, but they most likely stayed in Alderney to keep a distance from their sworn enemies, the Angels of Death, since the latter's clubhouse is in Algonquin, and maybe to keep safer from the LCPD, I guess.

 

 

So, what do you think about it? I'd like to see your opinions, for whoever is interested.

Maybe they originally were bigger and had a proper LC chapter too.

 

If we ever see Liberty again  it would be interesting to see if there's any biker gangs left, Lost or otherwise.

From what I know,there's a Liberty chapter based in Broker.They help Johnny ambush the diamond deal in the mission Diamonds In The Rough/Frosting On The Cake,and I've heard they are the bikers that tried to protect Jason from Niko in the mission No Love Lost.

Yes, it is. Look at the Johnny's Patch - it says TLMC Liberty. EoT

No because Alderney is based on New Jersey which is a state of its own and separate from New York (Liberty City). So technically they are a NJ (North Jersey) biker gang.

simple oversight or maybe R* didn’t have the time to change Johnny’s patch. Same thing goes for the LCPD officers that spawn in Alderney. Its all minor stuff that R* probably wanted to finish last but merely forgot until it was too late.

i dunno, it's confusing. i mean they use the LCPD cars in alderney instead of their alderney police cars. alderney is a part of LC, except when it is not.

 

i still love that part of the map though.

Idk I feel like when you’re making a whole DLC based around bikers, patches like those are a bit less “minor” than they would’ve been in the base game. They had the chance to fix it by TLAD and they blew it

There is a ton of confusing things in game regarding Liberty-Alderney. I guess that's one of them.
