When was the last time they added new Independence Day stuff? Literally could put anything with the US flag to celebrate the 4th July. New clothing and themed vehicles; bullet classic, another hot rod, new Bronco, optimus prime truck cab etc Maybe a service rifle (M16), new revolver ... maybe have the event sponsored by Ammu-nation with more themed items?

Honestly as someone who uses the R* Editor frequently for snaps I also hope we see some fixes or additions to that eventually, especially if there is indeed a movie-themed DLC somewhere down the line. They might be reserving some more cooler stuff for VI's editor which I can understand (and I bet they will do some cool stuff given what some other games' photo modes are doing these days), but given GTA Online is still going strong and likely will for a while, giving it some extra love could be a not bad idea.

If that's the case, where is announcement? Of course others DLC's wasn't announcement so early but if you look at past, Tuners first info we got in May 18, 2 months before release
Casino announcement was through builiding props around it which was interesting way and it started on early june
In 2020 when world changed we was supposed to get "Cops 'n' Crooks" DLC due to ingame data but R* scraped it and 2 weeks before release we got some informaton that summer DLC is "a fun mix of diverse new content from the game’s massive array of experiences to enjoy" which was cars, clothes and yacht missions...

I really just dont know what think about it. Couple possibilities and we can be disappointed after all, maybe tomorrow is the day where they show something and it won't be that bad.

A green screen room interior, from floor to ceiling so we can stop relying on the Document Forgery - and instead of clogging up the Player Action selection with a bunch of new ones for really complex actions (like bodyguard hand clasp, bodyguard earpiece, cell phone call, sitting on a car hood, etc.), take the Dancing system from the Nightclubs and make one where all the animations are those that we always see in Newswire images.

Again though, that was exception and not rule, because it was in an article showing a roadmap on the same day as a Take-Two investors call. Most other DLC has only been properly announced about a week before release over the years. Exception being Cayo where they released a contextless teaser video a good while before release.

Yesterday, I managed this feat of awesomeness (bailed out of car to land on top of roof myself with car perfectly parked on what is otherwise an impossible spot, engine still on)

Couldn't do it again if I tried...

Unless something happens with AW, and aside from 4th july stuff, I predict...

Nothing cool tomorrow, certainly not as much as it made me smile doing this by accident!

It's unlikely, but I really wish Rockstar would go back and add some little modifications for the legacy vehicles like the Infernus, etc. little changes like new mirror options or bumpers would come a long way (excuse the poor photoshop)

The minor irritations of skirmishing with the worst of the worst:

 

Anytime I see a bright red Mk II griefer whizzing around nuking every PV or business vehicle they can lock onto, I have a set protocol: 1. Blow them up with my own Mk II.  2. Perch on a nearby rooftop and snipe them a few times off spawn, to make sure they're annoyed at me in particular. Usually they go off radar, at which point I... 3. fly away, and then...  4. start Fully Loaded, and wait for them to feed their Mk II to the Ruiner like the predictable little idiots they are.

 

This is great fun. Except that Fully Loaded crashes me out of the session roughly half the time I start it--within 30 seconds of launching the job, I suddenly see a list of "So-and-so has left." in my feed. Sure, I can just stop doing that, but that's no fun!

rockstar website saying invalid url for me for a while now. Was going to post but my 420 guy called and suggested a walk in the summer evening sunshine, so that won. Surprised it's still down, maybe 40 minutes now.

Problem is...it will be just another independence day update that doesn't bring anything new because the summer dlc's only come way after  4th July for the past...like, 7 years...the days that R* pulled mini dlc's to celebrate special dates like Valentines and Independence Day are gone, but i will maintain the hope that R* can always surprise me.

I would LOVE to know what's wrong with the talentless hacks they have troubleshooting GTAO. Some bugs don't go away, and not only that, survived the transfer of saves from regular GTAO to the so-called E&E. My game still freezes every other time I go to my Agency to collect money from the safe, and they only way to fix it is to force close the game and restart it. I guess they are too busy with all the incredible, brand new E&E content they never released.

I don't necessarily need new content just give me beer hats, refill on snacks & armor, fireworks, some 'murica themed liveries & clothing, discounts on off-road vehicles and i'll be happy.

 

One of those new game modes that's supposedly coming would be nice too.

Same here. Feels like a missed opportunity, not keeping up those mini-updates. Slap new patriotic liveries on a few existing vehicles, add a new kind of fireworks, maybe add one new vehicle and some masks and t-shirts, run a special event via Business Battles or crate drops... It seems like minimal effort (at least relative to other DLCs) would be needed to spice up the game around holidays. But they only really did it a handful of times, mostly in the early years.

 

I was heartened last Halloween with the interesting new wrinkles they added. It wasn't new DLC per se, that I remember, but the timed events in free roam really spiced up what had become a very boring in-game holiday. STILL hoping that they'll one day patch in flickering jack-o-lanterns on porches, and NPCs walking around in costume. But I'm always disappointed when I hope for the little things. I guess that kind of stuff doesn't sell shark cards, but to me it makes a game I've played so much seem much more alive.

In My mind the movie dlc could be a great one if well executed, but seems more like a December dlc to me, unless they make a Big move in July trying to attract more people into the new consoles...
 

My great wish and obsession now is a Rockford Plaza Heist DLC, the mall is so massive just sitting there, unused...the Open of the mall could bring SO Many opportunitties, new shops, new brands, food courts, places to interact with other players: bowling alley, Pool tables, air hockey, they can Even put a massive arcade with npcs playing and maybe You can play with them and unlock trophies for the arcade, and ofc the heist itself with the return of Vincent.

Well...it's not like Dr. Dre brought a brand new experience to GTA gameplay and a revolution in game characters. And still, if Rosalía will not even appear i then don't get how Dr. Dre which is a way bigger name in the music industry didn't had the right to get one billboard in the game while Rosalía got all Vinehood Boulevard near Eclipe Towers totally changed. It should be renamed: Rosalía Boulevard.

 

It doesn't matter for them to "pull a big move for July to attract people" if there's basically not enough consoles on the market...that's why waiting for December would be more wiser from a selling point perspective, although, i also will say that neither is good to not have at least a medium size DLC for summer since it will be the firt proper DLC of the E&E.

Totally agreeing with the 3rd paragraph...i don't know if those would be too many mini-games at once - if R* bother enough to put their work on that - but at least if i had to choose between those, obvisouly pool tables and also they could give those "more immersive pvp/co-op" arcade games that they "kinda promised us". A figthing game i think it would be the perfect one for it. Maybe with the super heroes characters like PRB, WS, I.R, Pogo, R.S.R., etc., or with previous GTA titles protagonists.

I expect R* to take that ugly Rosalia billboard down by the time new update comes out. Her billboard visually polluting the neighborhood and drove the property prices around the area down.

Facts.

 

It confirmed I made the right decision when I moved my main properties (Eclipse penthouse w/ heist invite, arcade, nightclub) from Vinewood to South LS with the release of the Turners DLC. I considered moving back before that.
