 Top Gun has been in the works for a couple years now, even getting delayed for 6 months. It wasn't out of nowhere. 

IF Rockstar wanted to, they would have had plenty of time to make new aircraft.

Yep. They could also give us a F-18, an F-22/F-35, and a manned SR-72 (Darkstar from the movie).

And if they did it right, which they won't, it could be a way to provide balanced options to the Lazer/Hydra.

The wing-sweep mechanic on the Tomcat is already similar like the Alkonost so it would be cool to have a jet with the same capability. Just dont strap an explosive auto-canon with a high damage output like the lazer with Mk2 missiles on the front and this could be a fun new toy to play around with.

DLCs are always the best when there are a nice mix of cars and aircraft. 1 or 2 new aircraft are always nice to have in an update, so long as Rockstar doesn't mess up and balance them terribly like they did in the Cayo Perico update.

Yeah a F-35B and a F/A-18 Hornet would be nice, i loved using them both in Battlefield 2, i was a damn jet god (also in dogfights) at some point in this game, in the end i had 850+ hours in jets of the BF2's life cycle. But then i sucked in BF3 and BF4, because they completly changed the handling of jets. It was really horrible how bad i was in the newer games.

 

Would love to see both of them in GTAO.

 

And carwise, i finally want that Honda NSX, the classic Ford GT and Ferrari F50.

I'm not so sure. Maybe next Thursday? I remember it was a week from now last year that we got the double week, and a week from then that we got an announcement. Or maybe they'll do a Wednesday announcement, like with the contract, although that might've been specifically for that update. Either way, I don't see us getting an announcement or teaser tomorrow as they don't usually come until just a few days before the update drops.

I could see a movie update being cool. Of course, no update will ever live up to my imaginative expectations! But you have potential for all kinds of stuff with that concept:

 

- Cool, story-mode-esque missions (almost guaranteed)

- A heist of some kind, ripping off a rival studio or recovering a movie that's about to leak for a big payday, maybe; or, more excitingly, using the cover of a movie shoot to pull off an unrelated robbery

- Mansions (what movie producer doesn't live in a big-ass mansion in the Hollywood Hills?)

- New masks and clothes galore

- New vehicles based on ones made popular in movies (e.g. the various Bond Aston Martins, which I realize they've done a little of already--but please, no more mememobiles)

- And as someone else said, they could stretch the concept to smuggle in some unrelated content cannibalized from other scrapped updates, like Cops 'n Crooks

- Plus a new business property--a movie studio presumably--with both legal and illegal activities for active and passive money-making

Rockstar is still updating qalive. And the last background update that brought actual fixes was on May 30th. Latest update on June 20th only added new podium vehicles and prize rides.

 

The Summer update could be releasing much earlier? Early to mid July?

idk how R* is going to sort out the lore for SA's infernus aka NSX first gen because of Dinka Jester, and infernus classic already existing so i guess Infernus retro Classic? but Dinka is Honda of HD Universe and Infernus is manufactured by Lampadati... well it's quite confusing but we really do need a NSX in HD universe .

Mansions with a sh*t ton of things and minigames to do inside of it, with private security, private bodyguards we can summon in freeroam and a private chauffeur to drive us anywhere we want in our own Personal Vehicles, would have been amazing to me, but I think that's never gonna happen so I learned not to expect it anymore.

I really hope that in the next update don't include more characters like moodyman and sessanta, that was a huge step back in the wrong direction...i remember when @alloc8or leaked the new jobs for the tuners update, i was pretty exited, but then after the cringe and overexagerated phone sex i don't touch those anymore...also i cannot understand why some people get hyped for a contract featuring Rosalía...appart from cringe dialogue and some cutscenes...what can she contribute to a dlc??? I just don't see the value there, if they are going to add more contracts like dr.dre should be a character from the GTA universe or a brand new like Pavel.

In My mind the movie dlc could be a great one if well executed, but seems more like a December dlc to me, unless they make a Big move in July trying to attract more people into the new consoles...

My great wish and obsession now is a Rockford Plaza Heist DLC, the mall is so massive just sitting there, unused...the Open of the mall could bring SO Many opportunitties, new shops, new brands, food courts, places to interact with other players: bowling alley, Pool tables, air hockey, they can Even put a massive arcade with npcs playing and maybe You can play with them and unlock trophies for the arcade, and ofc the heist itself with the return of Vincent.

Rockstar constantly updates that quabeta a lot
now that means the dlc is huge to update that much

Would be Nice a 50% off on all arena wars vehicle plus 4x rp, cash and AP points in arena wars modes...could fit the theme of 4th of July, You now...muscle Cars, explosions and such
