Imma be real with you. Rockstar is more focused into music-centered content. That Rockstar would rather prioritize a Fight Club if a celebrity they are aiming to work with asks them for exactly that.

You are better off asking them to feature a music artist who's into that sort of thing.

So... you are saying we are getting a music heist DLC?

oh yea. 100% life support. Zelnick might have to sell one of his 8 yachts to make up for the massive losses

Sales figures and stock values are not mutually exclusive. If the stock continues to underperform, there will be changes. Another 23% loss year-to-year will send investors elsewhere.

Yes i agree, all clothing brands + Didier sachs should be featured, and a food court with Bean Machine Coffee, cluckin Bell, burger shot and more, they can Even put a car dealership inside, and the heist itself could have múltiple approaches like diamond casino, Even targeted shops depending on how well they performed, adding some random thing to the equation...and a Big garage with 60 slots similar to ceo garage...

And speaking about it ("it" = those low efforts where R* many times do shortcuts), first let me apologize to the guy who said this, i can't quote because i lost track of his post, but he said how back in the day, 2014-2016, was the golden period of R* "really care about their Online content", he said this, but, it remind me of the Lowriders DLC and it boogles me how they, in such "caring period" they didn't gave us a Lowrider contest, like in GTA SA.

A lowrider contest wouldn't work well with PVP scenarios. Unless it's something like the nightclub where you just have to press some buttons to rhyme with the beat. Perhaps, they can do the same thin in an underground Lowrider Car meet.

This topic is reminding me of the Cyberpunk 2077 Reddit before launch. Hostility to people who question the status quo and wild speculation. Can we get a LowSodiumnext-dlc-speculation-topic?

Reminds me of those toxic fans who comment on speculation topics calling out every speculation only for some of them to come true. XD

Iam pretty sure Rockstar Will deliver more solo content, lone wolfs had requested that for years...and a possible Rockford Plaza Heist Will be perfect for solo players, Vincent would make a perfect associate to work with like Pavel.

Meh, I dont care about speed. Heck I had a dilletante as a daily for quite some time.

Also I was looking at it from the perspective of a regular player with limited funds, not a vetran like me with multiple hundert millions in the bank.

Not trying to backseat mod, but we have a DLC Wishlist topic for a reason.

And would you look at that, an actual topic dedicated to a Fight Club DLC! I wonder who created it?

Yea, criminals who parachute, fly various aircrafts, handle various military weaponry, it's more plausible that online characters have some advanced combat training with military or other background. I mean yeah if we are looking from a full on blown heist perspective, where we used those methods of infiltration and escape/exit points.

However that isn't,  the main goal for such related methods as usually it revolves around stealing confidential information for crooked cops or whatnot and getting a payday at the end of the day.

Correct. Last time I moved discussion about this DLC to the OP's own dedicated topic though they seemed pretty offended. :cringekek:

Seriously though can we PLEASE continue discussion about the viability of this specific DLC in that topic, especially given the post is so detailed about OP's original ideas and so on, and it's a much better place to discuss it? Thanks!

Okay, speculation. We buy a filmmaking studio and play through a movie-making mission pack with Solomon in the summer update (also *insert shady business other than filmmaking here*). In the winter update Solomon introduces us to Michael with whom we undertake a movie-styled heist disguised as an actual movie shoot or something along the lines of this.

Point is there ain't any kind of obstacle lore wise apart from technical or other difficulties, decisions due to which better melee system wasn't included in GTA5. If online characters and story mode trio can shoot with marksman precision, operate various equipment, doing clandestine operations for IAA, they should also be able to have advanced melee skills. R* for whatever reason decided to add rudimentary melee system compared to acceptable melee from GTAIV. In that and other regards such as worse ragdoll physics GTA5 was a downgrade.

That's exactly what i was thinking as lowrider contest mini-game. It's hard to imagine that R* dropped the ball when they release Lowriders DLC. The same arrow system could work also in the dance floors in order to be more immersive, you could even dance with npc's if you wouldn't have any player there to perform a dance with you.

The problem of folks going to GTA Online without pre-requisits to "develop" your character. And i mean, would make more sense if you had to go for example to old Heists in order to to the new ones, it would take you to do first the Casino Story Missions before meet Lester in Mirror Park to meet Georgina to set things up to do the Casino Heist, but that doesn't bring money to R*. But, i feel sorry for folks that are picking GTA Online Story back and forth and all mixed up, but i guess that doesn't mean much to casuals, they just go with the flow of what's the latest recent thing.

A Fight Club DLC doesn't fit within a DLC budget. With all due respect, there are new technologies trending within the industry. And those technologies end up being utilized within whole new games or sequels. Motion Matching is an example and it would upgrade the animation system to such a level it could solve the issues with the melee system. However, that's not gonna fit at all within a DLC budget. Although, it would definitely fit within a sequel budget. In fact, upgrades like this became a standard nowadays for sequels like GTA6.

In other words...we aren't getting an update to the melee system, right? 😐

Not to mention the damage system...in GTA V you need to unload half a gun magazine to kill a hostile NPC. And let's not forget the walking low mechanics that only GTA SA had and it was a game from 2004, also dual pistols or submachine guns holding system.

Rockstar updated their site this past Friday to add a new Socialclub module. Modules control aspects of the site like the user module that handles your Socialclub account data and everything to show your profile icon at the top right.

Anyways, this new SC module is called UGC Spotlight aka Job Spotlight. You can pretty much get an idea of what it would be used for. The module eases you of the task of visiting Socialclub to check out the job itself. It would showcase the job details within the newswire article and allow you to bookmark with a click of a button.

It would be something like the Hao section within newswire articles.

Where each slide would be a featured job and you click on it to showcase more details. Plus, an option to bookmark the job from the newswire without having to visit the Socialclub site itself. That kind of thing.

It doesn't necessarily have to focused solely on player-created jobs. Rockstar can promote their own modes via the UGC Spotlight module.

Maybe Rockstar has new modes coming in the way that they plan to promote?

Hi. I believe they'd have to reconsider calling this new section "UGC" as it stands for User-Generated Content. By definition, this section would strictly focus on highlighting jobs from the community and not their own jobs.

It would be something like the Hao section within newswire articles.

Where each slide would be a featured job and you click on it to showcase more details. Plus, an option to bookmark the job from the newswire without having to visit the Socialclub site itself. That kind of thing.

spotlight is just that how to promote an event?
first time hearing it i have to admit

Rockstar updated their site this past Friday to add a new Socialclub module. Modules control aspects of the site like the user module that handles your Socialclub account data and everything to show your profile icon at the top right.

Anyways, this new SC module is called UGC Spotlight aka Job Spotlight. You can pretty much get an idea of what it would be used for. The module eases you of the task of visiting Socialclub to check out the job itself. It would showcase the job details within the newswire article and allow you to bookmark with a click of a button.

  Reveal hidden contents

All in all, expect more Job Spotlight articles soon.

I suppose if new modes are coming soon this would make perfect sense, especially if there's gonna be some Creator Updates too. I suppose it's basically gonna be the latest jobs list in the Social Club but shown within an article - or handpicked jobs of course.

Edit: Given the fighting about the fight club DLC is still happening I have moved the fighting about the fight club DLC to the specific fight club DLC concept topic so the fighting (and legitimate discussion, jokes aside) can continue there. :p
