As far as I know, only Xbox players have paid for GTA Online, and besides, it would bring in so many more players, it's profitable.

The 3 free months on PS5 can be decisive, they surely have projections and they know exactly how many free players they managed to "transform" with GTA+. This is a great way to see if switching to F2P is feasible.

If you can get a free player to buy 4 months of GTA+, you will have more money than if they just bought the game. (At normal price).

PS players are having a promotion, it still has a price for PS, they won't make it f2p so soon after charging people, just not gonna happen

There's just over another month of Free on PS5, so Rockstar will probably want to make information public before then to encourage new/existing players to 'buy' into things. 

If they tease that Plussys will get some of the new content early (or for free/at a reduced cost upon general release) then that's another option. Obviously the 'early option' would be difficult if it's a new portion of map (short of splitting lobbies).

Possibly a small update to current gen with new GTA+ content, specifically for the vehicle of the month. I'm thinking a few more HSW upgrades to existing vehicles, and / or 5 new vehicles with new HSW stunt races. Two weeks after, say mid June PC will be updated to include all of HSW content.

a change in how K/D works,another change to EWO,maybe even a nerf of some problematic vehicles etc.

 

don't see that statement indicating a f2p direction at all.

 

sure rockstar has been stubborn with how they handle freemode pvp and seems to be advocating it in dlc's etc,but with them allowing to do recent business/heist related dlc's it seems rockstar is open to have a more "passive" approach to the free roam aspect. 

 

perhaps with the release of E&E on next gen they are now going the extra mile to make PVP more balanced in order to lure more people in. and thus increase gta+ sales.

how is a recurring event new? the content each period is new but it's all part of one promotion with weekly/monthly periods, besides, do you seriously think Tez would tease the next GTA+ event that we all literally already know is going to happen? wtf?

Logically, no.

Technically, if this was a legal claim, you couldn't sue him if it was just a new event/promotion.

We'll get all future content as stated in the 2020 announcement, but I think they will want to synchronise the code between "E&E" and PC at some point when they drop support for last-gen. I think the Summer DLC is a good point to introduce the "E&E" changes on PC. Hopefully!

Hence why i said it's nothingburger for PC regarding that something new is coming in 2 weeks. It might be something for current gen consoles only or supposed balance across all platforms, but unless it's new content like hsw then it's nothing significant to me. Game is stale already with long break between winter and summer dlc and while hsw comtent is nothing special it's at least something new to play with for a few days. PVP balances don't interest me as i don't play public cesspool and steer clear from those lobbies most of the time. 

I would be interested in pve balances like nerfing bulletsponges and minigun rate of fire aimbot npcs but that won't be their priority until new gta game.

Become gta plussy and for $6 only you gonna get that livery. I fully expect that all tuners unreleased and other liveries and cosmetics which they keep in vault for years will be gta+ exclusives.
