TBH I am included tto agree with the original poster.

 

The Free Mode events work when people participate but most of the time and given the stat information published earlier on the page you know it's gonna be Aircraft Carrier/Cluckin Bell/Roger's Scrapyard and you are almost always in the wrong place to be able to participate.

 

Don't get me wrong the events are good when people participate but they could have combined this with something else like VIP work, it would give more incenctive to play if you are not a Plus subscriber etc.

It doen't have to be money, but at least decent rp to grind on some mode that people would actually play. I won't be wasting time playing in public cesspool full of modders just to get trash rp even when it's on 4x and spawning faster. Now if they just pit businesse batltes spawn on 100% chance to trigger with 3x cash and rp like last week that could be worth the hassle. 

I might play sexanta bounce on that mustache few times to kill the boredom, but i can't remember worst event week ever since 2018.

Yep, i don't wanna waste time on pvp modes anymore just to not receive award in the end when time wasted on finding people to play can be spent on one quick  autoshop job for the similar cash. Some weeks ago there was extraction mode award for winning only 3 rounds, i  could hardly find players to even play and won 5-6 rounds that week just in case, never received those 150k.

Notes: Mostly done in "Private" public lobbies (Windows firewall-protected after all 4 accounts joined).

3 - 4 accounts used simultaneously (only 3 for quite a while as one of my PCs was out of commission).

Each session long enough to trigger 8 - 16 events (Battles alternate with Event/challenge with 20 minute cooldown - now 9 minutes)

Not all events/battles participated in, but triggered and timer expired.

150 Battles and 154 Events/Challenges logged (data up to 2 days ago), but I have done about 20 more of each since.

 

TL:DR

You have about a 12.5% chance of one of King Of The Castle/Kill List/Hot Property/Criminal Damage/Checkpoints, otherwise you'll get a "challenge".

These will alternate with a Business Battle where you have a 25% chance of it being either Luxington or a Factory Raid (Cluckin Bell/Foundry/Rogers Scrap).

 

 

of course, the 2 worst battle events are the ones that spawn more times, what a surprise

One thing that could somewhat redeem this sh*tty week is E&E PC announcement and some details about it, but i think that won't happen until console exclusivity on reduced price ends so at least a month or even as an update to regular summer DLC, so PC players could be waiting until late july to early august.

Maybe the point when they created the free mode events was to make ppl spare time without killing themselves in a free mode turned into a ww3 scenario. But they messed up, it was maybe something like this: "what can we introduce to free mode for players have something else to do in a competitive way that doesn't mean killing each others? More ludic activities like pool, table tennis, bowling, air-hockey, some card game? Nah, that would be silly, i was just kidding. Of course the right thing to do is make challenges to see who can drive in reverse or a wheelie for the longest period or even open tbe parachute at the last minute possible bcz physics do their work and they get splatted all over the ground. And let's even add an annoying sound when it's the final seconds countdown that everyone, even if they aren't participating they are forced to hear too: PARARARA PERERERRE IIRIRIRIRIRIRIRIRIRI ROOOOOON.

Motor Wars = lamest attempt to copy the at that time famous POBG. Idk why leaving weapons all splitted over the map...ppl only boringly kill with the vehicle turrets...it should have a stealth mechanic but...no buildings to hide inside nor you character can get it's icon point hidden, bcz the stealth mechanics sucks. Until this day i dont get wht the game have a "silent mode" for characters walking if that doesnt even hide your character icon on the map.

Yeah, PC players need some love, Even if the content comes July/August a Nice newswire addresing EE stuff coming to PC would be Nice plus a little hint on the next dlc...

Back to topic...events like these makes me want to have more Friends in online, to do races, heists or just fool around in freemode...i can barely find players within GtaForums crew, at least on PC, would be Nice if more PC players from the forum can gather togheter in a friendly session...i know @ACR and @VitoCorleone1992, but the more the better...i might create a new post regarding this...

It's clearly a between-DLC drought period where the event weeks get kind of weird, annoying but not new, I'm assuming we'll be hearing something about the next update or as mentioned even "E&E" on PC (not sure about this one) during the month or so.

I wouldn't say weird, given they've said all of May's Event Weeks will be dedicated to Free Roam in some capacity. Given the Heist Challenge & Heist Month over the last 2 years that took place in November, the fact they're doing a multi-week theme month (as opposed to the single month long events RDO gets) gives some much needed structure in the months between end of dripfeed & new DLC announcement... and there's so much they've got to play with for more Theme Months.

 

Vehicular - Simeon Exports, Simeon Contact Missions, Lowriders, Import/Export, Auto-Shop, LSCM, Exotic Exports, Land Races, Tuner Street Races, Pursuit Races, Agency Contract: Vehicle Recovery.

Drugs - Gerald Contact Missions, Trevor Contact Missions, Series A Heist, Biker Business Sales, Nightclub Stock, LSSS Drug Cars, Cayo Perico Secondary Targets, Short Trips.

Criminal Contracts - Lester Contact Missions, Prison Break Heist, VIP Work, MC Contracts, Client Jobs, Casino Work, Payphone Hits, Agency Contracts.

Isn't it usually after an earnings call they start making moves in marketing? That and I can't think of any Summer DLC that was teased/announced earlier than very late May... 2020 might have been less than 7 days away from an announcement, even with only a "later this summer", it would've been interesting to see how things played out if they announced the theme and released a teaser image or two on May 24th.

Still, one of the worst (or "less good" to try not to be so rough), event weeks ever. Everyone is pissed. Now i imagine that taking this example, you wouldn't mind instead of what we got, having a bonus week for doing some pimp jobs. Take your girls to the clients, protect them from certain clients, whack some rival pimps, etc.
