Instead of making money the illegal way, this time we are going "legal".

 

But GTA Online sorta shoots itself in the foot because there is quite the time difference between GTA Online and better Call Saul (16 years). But it would certainly be an entertaining DLC.

 

I am not a fan of introducing Dr Dre to this game, or any other real-life public figure or character to be honest. I personally prefer the GTA universe to be its own, self-contained thing, so whilst I like the GTA parodies and pastiches of real places and people, I think that is how the franchise ought to remain, with no cross-overs into real-life if that makes sense.

I don't think you do spawn in a room, I have never seen a hotel room interior in the game, if you have hotel as a spawn option you just spawn on the street in front of the hotel

My question is, where do you draw the line, because celebrity cameos are not a new thing in the GTA universe. Do I need to remind you who they got for VCS?

 

Hell, let's go back even further, in GTA III they've planned to have Tom Novy, irl DJ, appear in missions. Sure, he was cut, but it was really late cut, judging by the leftovers.

What about radio DJs? They are played by irl musicians or radio hosts, ever since GTA III. MC Codebreaker, Stretch Armstrong or, most importantly, Lazlow are not made up people, they truly are DJs and artists.

What about stand up comedians in IV?

All I'm saying is that real life people were always part of the GTA, as long as they stick to the ingame lore and don't mention Detroit every 5 minutes, I'm good.

 

Really, what DOES irk me the wrong way are real life companies, that made into recent updates. Sure, they are just relatively small clothing companies, but the day R* adds any big brand or irl car (which in recent years they are borderline anyways), I'm outta here.

I'm okay with musical celebrities making cameos as long as they know their place and stay being musical celebrities and nothing more.

 

Dr. Dre acting like a hard-ass gangsta and KDJ acting like a suave gangsta was pure, unadulterated and peak cringeworthy dialogue.

 

I'm never replaying the missions of those two idiots wannabe gangstas ever again, purely because of this.

That person should be like this:
1- Someone who is an icon in movies because I'm sure Michael doesn't like new actors from teenager movies 
2- Someone who can be serious about a good story for contracts + someone who can be fun to watch!

 

Maybe Robert De Niro or Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio!  (it's just my opinion)

Well, I got 500mb update on Steam... so talking about this 'Mexico day' today it would be nice if they updated 'Mexican radio' with some new music also in this 500mb thing 

 

Don't know about next 'Contact' DLC and real life celebrities (even Rosalia), if there is at all, have to look around Agency and is there some empty spaces for new trophies... Dr.Dre story did fill up our office

Have you not played GTA V on PC for a while? The update was from last week.  Some misc. maintenance/security fixes and it adds some "E&E" files although they're still empty as far as contents go.

I played yesterday & I know about previous GTA update, and yes - I was wrong about this  - it was some 'steam update' but it just looked like it was for GTA also, new one under other one... sorry about that.

Well, don't be disappointed when you don't get LC in GTA Online this Summer. The Casino "leaks" were also never true for years and years, the Diamond Casino's very existence was most likely because of players clamouring for the casino to open.

 

This guy you want to believe has been debunked 30 thousand times in this very topic and the GTA VI Speculation Topic, you can even go back to his old tweets and look at him claiming stuff that never happened. He has been caught DMing people asking for info, or thinking art from the Social Club were GTA VI references (this in DM's to our very selves at GTANet). Dude is a fraud, sorry, lol.

even with Cayo, there were select people in the know which were teasing.
so don´t you think something as massive like LC would not be common knowledge for those same people?

I’m going to have to disagree with that top part.  Former Rockstar North head Leslie Bensies or Benzies said in an interview at the end of 2013 that the long term goal for GTA Online is for it to be a multi-city experience.  Rockstar isn’t going to abandon that.  Maybe LC will arrive but not until December of this year or maybe just maybe, LC arrives this summer and then this December the first heist is introduced in LC.  Rockstar loves to drop heist DLCs in December.  It’s not far-fetched.
