How nice that they work on options that majority of PC player base won't use because of performance hit. Well at least another indicator that PC release is close, although when it comes to R* ''soon'' is relative.

Yeah I kind of hoped they'd transfer that over to the Social Club website or even in-game, that's gonna screw with iOS users more as they seem to be wanting to remove old apps before Google, but it's still pretty bad. Not to mention the app isn't even compatible with the PS5 and Xbox Series versions of the game.


I'm preparing myself to watch gta+ getting cool t-shirts and dedicated liveries NFS Style, that are more than some stripes and a freaking rally number to even make those liveries less cool. While non gta+ players will get free t-shirts Levi's style.

 

Obs.: Not to mention it's pretty dumb they giving basketball outfits when there's no basketball to be played...

 

The app iFruit is so sh*tty now...if ever was good. And some DLC's ago, my account somehow got rid of the plate (with my name) that i made for both characters to put on the cars, while the 1st chacter still have the plate, it disappeared from the 2nd characters on the "plate options" when i'm customizing a vehicle in LSC or other places.

Hopefully they just let us manually type in our plates like we can name horses in RDR2, in GTA VI.

Having to use an app was stupid and unnecessary, just have the feature in your f*cking game. I don't want to use a sh*tty app to do something lmao

I guess it was the case due to ps3 software limitations...or, they just made a deal with the google app store, who knows...thing is, the app is outdated and we should have be able to make a freaking customized plate in-game now. Let's not forget the damn tamagochi idea that was with Chop. In order for them to do tricks you had to go from time to time to that app to clean his cheap and play the app mini-games in order for you to make chop do tricks in gta.

This file made it to the PC patch the other week already too iirc?

 

As for the rest, wow. The settings.xml is very impressive, I had no clue that userspace PS5 files could be accessed in this way already. I know it's just an XML but that pretty much proves it's coming to PC with all of the extra options that seem to be disabled on consoles especially for ray tracing. That's a lot of new stuff, including decal cache options.

 

I'm also almost sure they're using SGA instead of grcore in this, they have to. It's the graphics engine behind RDR2, which doesn't mean the game will look like RDR2, simply that it's the next generation of their graphics code. Ray tracing will also mean DX12 on PC so better performance even for those who can't do RT.

As for the rest, wow. The settings.xml is very impressive, I had no clue that userspace PS5 files could be accessed in this way already. I know it's just an XML but that pretty much proves it's coming to PC with all of the extra options that seem to be disabled on consoles especially for ray tracing. That's a lot of new stuff, including decal cache options.

 

I'm also almost sure they're using SGA instead of grcore in this, they have to. It's the graphics engine behind RDR2, which doesn't mean the game will look like RDR2, simply that it's the next generation of their graphics code. Ray tracing will also mean DX12 on PC so better performance even for those who can't do RT.

forgot say if enable above setting "false" on console look very nice , but drive fast and the game does this thing - sort like if drive fast on pc with very low-end pc but still looks 1000x better than current setting enabled on console

Now they can justify  charging full price for PC by presenting all of this nice shinny options that we can have and will remain disabled for majority unless one has RTX 3060/3070 and above.

On the other hand they wouldn't even put those files on PC a few days ago in the first place if they didn't plan for this to be same version on PC with just update that would bring those features with HSW content, they would just release entirely new version without adding files as a prep for PC release. I don't see how they can charge without separating PC players, they still can because they DGAF, but it doesn't make sense to me. 

I think since GTA+ for consoles is already in advance that they could offer  GTA+ for PC as a package with all previously released benefits on consoles for reduced price like $10 when ''E&E'' that includes HSW will be released either in june when consoles deal ends or with summer DLC.

I suppose it was a matter of time until the current-gen versions got somehow cracked open and the dripfeed etc revealed as usual I guess... I honestly didn't know PS5 game pkg's were already readable.

no - we just jailbroke the ps5 but all thank mnx and his team, tez2 prob provide more info  😆

Interesting, but i'm just concerned as PC player, i don't wanna be ''coerced'' to pay full price of the game because there is no PC deals like on consoles. They can market a RT options, new graphical details, dx12 as entirely new features for PC as a way to justify charging PC players again, when all of those RT options won't be a benefit for majority of PC  players who don't own RT capable card. Sure dx12 is nice and all but i am not confident in their ability or will  to optimize game for PC and i fear they gonna make performance even worse than it already can be. Same goes for current dx11, they can even mess that up to run worse than before.

The latest patch already introduced minor FPS improvements despite it not being the full thing, and the "E&E" version runs  a lot better in full lobbies, PC will be just fine on that front I think lol. Since RDR2 they're definitely taking PC versions a lot more seriously I'd say.

Well i don't know about that, not indicative at all whether minor FPS improvements are real or just placebo, but PC players i play with hadn't noticed any performance improvements. Those ''improvements'' should be significant in percentage, at least minor 5% to be impactful and so far i haven't noticed even 1 fps higher than before in any area, that includes interiors such as casino, car meet, smaller streets/areas and big crowded ones like winewood boulevard.

Also, it's hard to tell the difference when you can usually be in lobbies with hackers and only that is enough for the game drop a few frames. I don't know if i felt too much difference..but i can tell that sometimes in cayo you still lose a lot of fps.

Note: i spoke this to you yessterday and i say again, it's way unlikely we will have to pay for PC version. There's simples no excuse that there's on consoles. It's a new version of the game that requires a more powerful console to perform at it's peak. With PC, this game is not some game that came from the future and that needs a PC 3 generations ahead. "Any" nowadays PC support the game and if not you just need to buy some new pieces to improve performance, but it doesn't make an excuse that you have to buy an entire new PC to be able to play the game.

 

Gaming industries know that the majority of their profit comes from casual players, which usually they just a console to play casually and are not nerdy enough or don't have enough resources to invest in a PC gamer, don't mention some piracy that still exist in games that are basically SP, although i think piracy on PC games are not a big deal anymore because the majoriy of games today have a online component and you need a legit copy of the game to be able to play with other people. So everything that comes from PC profit it's almost just a "bonus income" like "whatever comes, comes". They focus their strategy in selling for consoles and shark cards in general and now also gta+, they aren't worried that PC gamers will (probably) have a "free port" to the new gen. They will still benefit from PC players with their shark cards and gta+.
