When i get stable fps driving at full speed on winewood boulevard then i would call it an improvement, but that's more issue with my old i5, although if they improve performance with E&E to at least use all cores evenly i might see better frames, all i want is stable locked fps all time when i'm driving which honestly i doubt it will happen until i replace my CPU. Gonna try the game later and see if frames improved in any way. Another indicator of improvement are frames inside LS car meet and casino.

its more like them removing a few years of online bloat

still not an improvement over SP for sure.

okay, I thought those were just the "not set up" props, probably a bug

There is a bug in the Gen9 versions where your Agency would suddenly have the "moving" boxes appear again after migration, I wonder if that's what's happening here?

Interesting in my case SP is performing worse than online with same settings, it's time to reinstall win but i'm so lazy.

Battle Scars

Game's been running smoothly for me since launch, no frame drops, just noticed the fix in the auto shop for the black board, finally so delivered a customer car and then a random npc car dropped through the map..

Adding to it, most of the mod menus for GTA Online are also not working. Most likely the menus just will need an update (i doubt rockstar ended the modding issue :r*:)

Oof. I wonder if these changes also impacts the nopixel, GTA role-playing community.

Edit: on second thought, most likely not.

The new patch made it unable to play singleplayer mods on PC

If you're a modder, you should know by now every new patch causes this until Alex Blade updates Scripthook. :p

Others like Vainglorious Gaming are reportedly having wonky problems that weren't there before like stuttering or weird shadows... Which shouldn't even be possible given this man's PC hardware (i9-12900k and 3080Ti)

Weird. I have a 5900x+3080ti and i don't have any stuttering issues.

I don't have stuttering either. Ryzen 5 3600 and Radeon 5700 XT. Didn't have it before or after the patch. Worth popping a bug report in the bugs topic in Help & Support though if you experience something like this.

Its weird to see it happen with these patch notes, Normally this only happens with a DLC? :whuh:

Nope, it happens with maintenance patches too, all it takes is for the game to be recompiled.

talking about optimisation, have the fixed the cayo perico optimisation? that place was always the worst i found

It still dropped quite a bit in the party but it's also pretty GPU intensive so there's that. I think it dropped less. There hasn't been a magic cure to such an old version of RAGE but there definitely seem to have been some optimisations when it comes to the CPU-bound stuff (thus allowing for the GPU to work some more).

If you're having stuttering issues you need to tell what CPU and GPU combo you have. Who knows if this patch screwed up things for those with that weird E+P Intel architecture.

I have none of that with a 1660 and Zen 3 (5600) on Windows 11.

There's definitely more to this update in regards general FPS stability improvements which warrants some more investigating, specially on PS4/X1 because o was under the impression that improvements couldn't be done on those versions.

But the real stress test will be staying in a crowded session until the aircraft carrier business battle comes up.

that could be it

some games needed a client patch for them

The LSCM feels smoother to me as well, pretty sure I dropped into the high 50 FPS and now I can hold above 60 in the more demanding areas and get more GPU-bound. I was driving around for a while, pretty sure there were performance improvements which might mean some of the Gen9 refactoring may have been applied to PC already.

I knew I wasn't going crazy when I noticed that on my console.

Maybe they made some changes in the interior to make more performance-friendly now? Like toning down the shadows or removing the number of NPCs and custom vehicles in there.

It might have been under-the-hood changes overall as even the casino felt smoother to me and so did driving around in the open world. I believe the LSCM already behaves better in "E&E" so it might be them backporting a few of those improvements to the old gen and PC too.

I get this stutter when the fps goes too high (I think people said in the past that it specifically needs to exceed 189fps?), maybe it's just that?

Yes, you'll start getting stutters around 140fps or more, that's why i generally cap my fps to 75 or 120.

PC doesn't seem to have any bug fixes other than the Gen9 files being pushed and the payouts etc being adjusted to be just like Gen9

Except payouts are not adjusted on PC. Max daily take for the nightclub is still 10k (or 15k during this event week)

So what was going on with the reports earlier in the topic that Nightclub Goods seemed increased even with the existing bonus? 🤔

Yeah that's still a big issue in the pause menu and it's annoying as hell. I hope that gets fixed for when PC gets the full real deal.

Also seems that nightclub popularity is only going up by one full bar instead of 2.5 meaning after this event week it will only go up by half a bar instead of the usual 1 1/4. I hope this is a bug.
