Excuse my ignorance, does this gen9 stuff reference RAGE's engine generation? I remember recently there was a "leak" (bs probably) that VI will be on RAGE 9, which seems to be odd if this gen9 means we are already on the 9th generation of the engine?

vehlivery3_mods.rpf is where the new parts for existing cars will be added

 

both D8 and Brioso has 4 HSW liveries instead of the usual 2, so Brioso GTA+ is confirmed, nail the coffin dead.

hsw turbo mods have a yft for some reason...

Nope, Gen9 of consoles. Console generation 9 = Xbox Series and PS5.

I think that'll be the landing page and clicking each logo will go to the two separate links, which aren't 404s but are real pages with canonical and localization URLs defined in the headers of the page source.

Some finger counting and I've concluded 9th gen is accurate if gen 1 is like an Atari VCS, and you count N64 as being prior to PS1 and Dreamcast, so, gridl0k approved, carry on. 🏏

Not quite, it's all dummied out, the files are there but they are empty. However, some stuff is already in, such as the HSW text strings and intro cutscene. Other than that, nothing much else, other than Nightclub Goods payouts being the same as Gen9 and so on.

 

I'm reading about lots of small back-end changes (like recompiled scripts or new functions) in modding Discords but the big stuff isn't here yet.

Aside from desecrating the remains of the poor soul who came up with that additional subscription, and being impressed by the other, who thought that aiming at a hostile from what would at least seem like a safe distance should alert them, there have been some issues with the inanities referred to as security contracts and payphone hits recently. Maybe they were rectified in this update. In the former, the rescued client's yellow safehouse trigger was unresponsive. I once also got the same contract twice, over the phone, that is, although it was a good training of sorts, reconsidering the rooftop and instead being positioned in the parking lot of the whineyard. I mean vineyard. In the latter, the introductory dialogue sometimes becomes muted. More importantly, though, after having launched a payphone mission with the muted introduction, the remainder failed to load respectively to display on the map. That was shortly before the notification about the update was pushed out, so either this is an issue or this was some kind of a one time side effect. And I was told by an associate that they do not receive information about the bogus, I mean bonus requirements. Is that intended or another example of marvelous programming? Ah yes, and I kept kindly asking associates and prospects to carefully read the requirements. This is referring to the fourth station of play... which reminds me that in my rant, the other day, I forgot to MENTION THE INFLATED GOD DAMNED COST OF A PLAYSTATION FIVE.

if it was a patch to it, it would be in the patchXXX folder

 

and there's no AMMO for it.

 

UNLESS... tinfoil hat time

 

Compact EMP launcher was MEANT to appear on E&E FIRST (perhaps as a prop?), but since it got delayed...

ALSO seems like I was right, the recompiled scripts and whatever that is in update2.rpf is active right now, you can see Trevor's gun has a magazine, just like E&E

This particular bug (weapon attachments not appearing in cutscenes) was fixed in the Cayo Perico update.

I will not mind a creative kill by anyone, cheater or not.

But spawning explosions/grenades? no way.

Trap me in an indestructible car and send me into a wall at 9000mph giving me all the hp damage? Fine as long as you don't over do it.

Waterboard me to death with 5000 waterjets? I'll allow it.

Spam 1000000 snowballs from a minigun or otherwise? Sure, go ahead. Death by snowball sounds nice.

Nothing concrete yet, need to wait for patch notes. On the technical side it's added a bunch of current-gen/"E&E" stuff to PC but mostly empty files, they'll probably be filled with the real content eventually, the Exotic Exports are fixed on current-gen, Nightclub Goods payouts are now higher on PC too, there's a new Map Blips option in the Interaction menu...

So far, nothing major. IS_BIT_SET became an instruction now rather than a native. Keep in mind, however, previous updates introduced changes to opcodes too. Some added new opcodes as well.

 

But this move does optimize the scripts, so there's that.

seems like they moved some stuff from update rpf to update2, but at the same time, the new colors are defined in the old update.rpf
 

Original next-gen strings don't seem so next-gen anymore in the update2 thing anymore lol

The payout of Nightclub's MC related goods is now 1.35x.

South American Imports: $200,000 → $270,000

Pharmaceutical Research: $170,000 → $229,500

Organic Produce: $120,000 → $162,000

Printing & Copying: $60,000 → $81,000

Cash Creation: $140,000 → $189,000.

 

Edit: That is to say, the max payout of Nightclub is now from $1,690,000 to $1,931,500.
