TBoGT weapons would be amazing to have, they’re all unique so I’m disappointed we’ve got Laser weapons before them.

I was always disappointed the changes they’ve made to the Assault Shotgun and Assault SMG so MK2 variants would be a nice addition along with the pistol and a new sniper

Really, why are we picking only 5? ALL cars from GTA IV should be in V. No, what-ifs, that's a fact. Yes, even fugly Rebla. I'd rather have it than not have it. People want those cars from GTA IV in Online, it's obvious, before every DLC people speculate and make the list of GTA IV cars. We need to group up and put some pressure onto R*, maybe they'll add them (but let's be honest, we are 8 years into the game, with each year this is less and less likely).

That what i said some days ago...we could unite, come up with a conclusion about 5 or 10 mainly stuff we want in the game and then each of us would send a ticket. It's better than just being one or two asking for it. But if we spam their email asking for the same stuff, it creates more pressure on them. 😛

Ahh, the joys of doing missions with very strict objectives with randoms... :sigh:

Figured I'd do at least one Special Vehicle mission this week, because it's been a while - got "Escape Escort" (wanted "Arms Embargo", but eh, it'll do), loaded in, and decided to take the Rumpo, because the kiddies always fight* over who gets to be in a buggy if you take one instead. Cue idiots flipping everything in sight - including trying to flip the Rumpo for 'lulz', which just wound up nearly sinking the van into the Vespucci Canals... :facedesk:

Ended the first go with someone in a buggy racing off ahead so far, they wound up in Paleto Bay, and thus failed the mission by being too far from the checkpoint (bonus points: the guy responsible was the player hosting the mission). Second time was better, but still had the buggy idiots driving through me, flinging traffic cars into the path of the van, and one guy wasting a life by trying to get into a firefight with the cops, at all of ...rank 14. Good job the host set it on Easy, but ...c'mon, you know things are bad when the only way you get through the job is because you've set the difficulty at rock-bottom...

Ray Tracing reflections are BS anyway. Just look at the RT reflections in Cyberpunk 2077, you can't even see yourself in reflections. It probably would be the same BS in GTA.

Maybe RT reflections are good in GTA VI then, but i doubt there ever will be RT reflections in GTA V or RDR2.

I would already be happy with RT shadows and Vulkan and or DX12 API. Losing up to 50% FPS just because of playing online is f*cking annoying, because only like 6 CPU cores are used, and most work is done on 1st core. The game needs Vulkan and or DX12, and TAA would be nice too, i rather have TAA and some ghosting than perfomance killing MSAA, that even with 8xAA still shows ugly aliasing effects.

While the RT of Cyberpunk might not be the best, Spiderman's PS5 versions have RT reflections and they look very good, they even managed to make them work on performance mode at 60fps.

I am not expecting them on a heavier game like GTA, but calling them BS just because that one game didn't get them right (whatever the reason for that is) is not right.

it's bs, what is a modern map as an expansion? then in the subtweet he says summer update will be small, like LSSS, then says it will have a new Rosalia contract, umm... those are contradictory, not to mention the Rosalia contract is kinda the biggest speculation right now, and everything else is already all but confirmed by the new rating

Watching that video, the Spiderman Raytracing isn't very good.

There is reduced res and things missing in the reflection. I rather have normal cubemap reflections, until it's really possible to have accurate reflections. Maybe 2 more generations of GPU's and it finally looks perfect and costs less FPS. These halfway decent reflections aren't good enough.

Atm raytracing just kills perfomance way too much. In a few years it will be standard in all games, when GPU's can handle it, then i activate it in games. I currently got a RTX 3080, and that is too weak for shenanigans like this, if i want to play with high frame rates.

Sure cars from GTA IV are requested a lot but let's not forget some others from previous 3D era gta's that would do nice additions too:

GTA 3 - Infernus (Vector M12), Stinger (Toyota W30 3rd Gen, which could come with a livery to match the Yakuza Stinger), Sentinel (BMW E36 M3); Yardie Lobo (Cheverolet Impala/Caprice) and why not the freaking Banshee based on the one from the 90's? Rockstar spoils so much the current Banshee bcz "the banshee is a classic from GTA genre" but, what about giving us the real classic banshe?

GTA VC - Oceanic (a lot of mixes here but mainly 1955 Nash Ambassador), Freeway (classic harley-davidson), PCJ-600 (
Suzuki GSX 750), Banshee (Corvette C4), Mr. Whoopee ice cream van.

GTA San Andreas - Glendale (1955 Buick Special and other mixes), Greenwood (1984 Chrysler Fifth Avenue), Super GT (1993 Mitsubishi 3000 GT), Infernus (the freaking NSX), Uranus (1989 Mitsubishi Eclipse), Alpha (Mitsubishi GTO), Bullet (looks more like a Ford GT 2005, but probably since the game happened in 1992, maybe we can say that's based on the Ford GT from 1966), Savanna (1964 Chevrolet Impala), Camper (Volkswagen Type 2, with The Truth "Mothership" livery), Hot Dog van.

The video you linked up there doesn't even have any footage from the retail version of the game.

Here's the breakdown they have done after the game came out.

just lower some of the other settings, also this 60 fps thing is nuts to me, 30 fps has been fine for 25+ years and now all of a sudden anything under 60fps is unplayable, the ONLY games that need high FPS are competitive online games, especially twitch shooters, and yeah, if you PvP only maybe you'd like a few more frames, me I go for frames over graphics in COD only, any other game and I go for graphics of frames, 30fps is plenty for single player games and casual online experiences

with a 3080 you should be able to run almost any game from the last 15 years on ultra at a solid 30+ frames, one caveat, that's at 1080p, maybe 1440 for some games, 4k is also not necessary, though I'm sure there's also plenty of games that would run at 30+fps 4k ultra

Im used to play games at 4K with 120 FPS, 60 FPS already feel very choppy to me. I couldn't even imagine playing games with 30 FPS.

that's INSANE to me, so you won't use Ray Tracing because you need 120 fps? I mean you probably could get close to 60 with RT, I don't really know but there is absolutely no need for 120 fps in anything but CS:GO

If you're used to console gaming for many years, sure then you are okay with low FPS, but PC players are just used to have more FPS.

I bought my first higher refresh monitor (1080p 144 HZ G-Sync) in the year 2015 before i only played with 60 HZ and FPS, in the year 2020 my old Sony 4K TV (60 HZ) died, and i bought a LG OLED B9 (4K 120 HZ G-Sync). In that same year i got hands on a RTX 3080 for only 50€ more thatn MSRP, well and now im just used to higher FPS. I had Dual SLI GTX 1070 before the RTX 3080, i could only play GTA V with 60 FPS in 4K, now i can play it with 120. But the two GTX 1070's were enough to play shooters like BF with 144 FPS on the monitor and other older SLI supported games. But well SLI is dead now.

or if you've only had toasters, and you can want all you want it isn't necessary

I should clarify that last remark, I don't feel high fps is necessary so so you can't judge graphical performance against your high standards, the effectiveness of the 3080 at 1440 is phenomenal, not 4k 120 fps good but it doesn't need to be

The Ramp Buggy mission is a recipe for disaster with randoms for reasons explained in your post. I hate it when they start driving into you and flipping other cars into your path. I did the Rocket Voltic one yesterday and the other two randoms struggled to hack the targets. I mean, how hard is it?

The first time, we failed because one of them "failed to hack the target". The second time, they managed to hack the targets after god knows how long, but one of them ended up destroying a Rocket Voltic as we were taking out the enemies on foot towards the end. We started from that checkpoint again, and after completing, we got a petty 3k payout. Miserable.

I would say too think:

1) "ray-tracing". 😅 :kekw:
2) If this rate on ESRB means that we need to buy the game again for PC or it's just for those who don't have the game for PC and they have to obviously, buy it for the first time? 🧐

if they were going to charge for it they would have dropped it same day as the console versions, not to mention it's the same sku still, they can't charge you again for a sku you already own, it's going to just be another update through the launcher, or Steam, or Epic

also lmfao, it's not even $60 on console

The blowback would be larger than that one time Microsoft wanted to charge PC gamers $50 to play online if that happens.

I personally see them giving us a free upgrade if you already own the game. If not, and it's a strong  possibility since the R* of old is no more, I'll just wait for the Winter Steam sale to grab it.

the rating is for the same version that exists, it's not a new version or sku, it's going to be free, which is why it wasn't released alongside the console versions

The re-rating doesn't mean we'll have to pay for it necessarily. It's more due to all the content changes over time I'm assuming, or any potential new "physical" releases (it won't be on DVD's that's for sure lmao). I believe one of the Red Faction games pulled something similar where its remaster was paid on consoles but a free patch on PC.

These SV missions in general are terrible with randos, they can't even land the Supervolito.. always tick normal diff, die so quick when picking hard, very low value for RP grinding. I managed to make things better with Mob OP x3 but can't do much with SV ones. Not worth for 2x. Its just 5k RP after going through so much of braindeadism.

they literally can't, if it was a separate paid for expansion, which they haven't done since Episodes from Liberty City, then that is what would be rated, not the same version game we already have
