the literal ENTIRE point of the "naval" update thrown around in this thread is a property to store and customize watercraft, you can just assume that anytime someone in these forums mentions a hypothetical naval update they are operating under the assumption it would have a property to store and customize watercraft

Aircrafts couldn't be storable until R* decided to make them storable with Smugglers Run update.

They could easily do the same for a boat DLC.

A better question would be how the f*ck would they make that DLC not be boring.

They need to bring Bogdan back for sure

I find Pavel's existence just silly when a perfectly good character was sitting right there, hopefully they have plans for him.

honestly though something tells me Cayo Perico WAS our naval updated, I mean we got a new island, new speedboat, f*ckING SUBMARINE, etc... I don't know if we will ever get the naval update where we can store and customize watercraft

"how would they make it not boring" not every update needs missions, I mean if they literally added a property with the ability to customize and store watercraft they don't even need to add missions, I'd be happy with the property and the rest of the usual update stuff

But what would be the point of being able to customize and store boats, if there are no missions on the sea? Just to have them customized with a color, and docked somewhere so they look pretty? There is only like a handful of missions that are done on the sea, it's not worth it without adding something to do out there. It would be a complete waste of ressources/time if they don't add missions.

If there ever is a Naval DLC i want the "Thunder in Paradise" boat. And some missions.

I don’t think we should need a reason to customize our vehicles. It should come as a given.

Opressor pilots are getting more and more stupid by the day i swear, this vehicle makes you less skilled because of how much you start to rely on the auto lock. I remember the days when the opressor guys were those tryhards that dont miss a bullet, nowadays they become a headless chicken once you take them down.

Combined with the Yacht missions from LSSS - that I can't remember who said was more than likely/definitely had been brought forward from the Cayo Perico update to beef up LSSS - that was the general consensus back then. I'll always say this, the map of GTA V is not designed for any interesting use of boats - the Patrol Boat Prep in CPH kinda proved this by always spawning in the Alamo Sea and noting there's only two ways out of there, both leading to the ring perimeter that is the open ocean.

Let's say R* let you buy your own oil rig, what's the gameplay meant to involve other than going back to the nightmares of 2016 - 2018? All I can imagine is an aquatic copy of the Agency Contracts, where you'll spawn in a mission given vehicle boat/sub - and the more Contracts you complete will raise the daily income your Rig brings in. But you know exactly what's going to happen don't you? You buy the rig off the southern coast of Terminal, because you can cut into the LS Flood Control from there, all the mission variations you get will spawn north of Sandy Shores, and there'll only be a handful of missions where you can forego using the mission given vehicle, so you HAVE to spend a good 5 - 6 minutes taking it all around LSIA, along Vespucci, around Chumash, north past Lago Zancudo, around Fort Zancudo, and finally start getting close as you approach Avi's Island - and that's if you aren't having to go north of Paleto Bay... AND you're not tasked with bringing an item all the way back to your rig that's south of Terminal... for a $24,000 payout.

There's a reason people don't get on the Seasharks during Pacific Standard - Signal and instead keep driving north in something like a Toreador.

don't get me wrong, if they add misions that would be cool, but not everyone needs a reason to enjoy their boats, my spawn location is my yacht, I am on my Longfin at least once per session just chilling on my boat in the Pacific enjoying the sunset

That´s true for most of them. I had some pretty decent ones tho that where up to a good fight, even on ground. Those are super rare tho. But like you said, most of them really need that crutch bike. Ground them, and they already struggle against a buzzard.

Seems like that something was left to do bcz deadlines, since you can store your submarine "somewhere" we just don't know where it goes. But thje geography of LS and Blaine County is just bad for boats bcz lack of purpose. That's why making a map with one or two medium size islands makes sense if you want to use boats for something.

why do people "go out on the boat" in real life? sometimes it's used as transportation, the majority of personal boats are used solely for recreation, we literally don't need islands or a mission, there's a sailboat in the game, and sure, it's not irl and many would find it boring, but it just exists, no purpose, no missions, just there for people to enjoy, sometimes you and the boys just want to have some beers on the boat, that's it, no other reason needed

though there is one small thing they could add that would make more people use boats more, fishing. how cool would it be to go fishing for sail fish! or sharks! they don't even technically need to add marine life for that, just a minigame. oh, and then we could mount our catch as trophies and use them to decorate our new boathouse!

Instead of wasting time with a naval DLC that will most likely only be good to really small and niche part of the community, I'd rather they make the Yatchs driveable and maybe make a heist update using it as a place to plan and set it up(the potential for that last bit is already there, seeing as Captain Darcy is implied to be involved with his own illegal activities).

Pipe dream, I know(as they currently are, it's impossible to turn them into drivable vehicles), but frankly that's like the only reasonable thing I would expect out of a update centered around this theme.

Otherwise, sailing boats in this game is boring and a hassle more often than not, so I'd rather they do something else.

Spoiler

In this open-world action game, players assume the roles of three criminals whose storylines intersect within the fictional city of Los Santos. Players can switch between each character to follow his storyline, completing missions which often include criminal activities (e.g., stealing cars, executing heists, assassinating targets). Players mostly use pistols, machine guns, sniper rifles, and explosives to kill various enemies (e.g., rival gang members); players also have the ability to shoot attack/kill non-adversary civilians, though this may negatively affect players' progress as a penalty system triggers a broad police search. Blood-splatter effects occur frequently, and the game contains rare depictions of dismemberment. In one sequence, players are directed to use various instruments and means (e.g., pipe wrench, tooth removal, electrocution) to extract information from a character; the sequence is intense and prolonged, and it involves some player interaction (i.e., responding to on-screen prompts). The game includes depictions of sexual material/activity: implied fellatio and masturbation; various sex acts (sometimes from a close-up or first-person perspective) that the player's character procures from a prostitute—while no nudity is depicted in these sequences, various sexual moaning sounds can be heard. Nudity is present, however, primarily in two other settings: (e.g., a topless lap dance in a strip club and a location that includes male cult members; a man with exposed genitalia in a non-sexual context). Within the game, some cutscenes, TV programs, and radio ads contain instances of mature humor: myriad sex jokes; depictions of raw sewage and feces on a worker's body; a brief instance of necrophilia (no nudity is depicted); caricatures of ethnic/racial groups. Some sequences within the larger game allow players' character to use narcotics drugs (e.g., smoking from a bong, lighting a marijuana joint, hallucinating from peyote); cocaine use is also depicted. Players' character can, at various times, consume alcohol and drive while under the influence. The words “f**k,” “c*nt,” and “n**gern*gger” can be heard in the dialogue.

Any know what they were referring to by necrophilia in the og releases?

They definitely should do something, yachts are just overpriced paperweights that most us older players simply bought cause we had nothing to spend our money on lmao

There really is no incentive for players to buy one, which I imagine is why they're just flat out giving them away for GTA+ members now. It's useless but appealing to those in the dark(Or simply stupid and think it gets you respect)

oh I definitely want a yacht upgrade as well, made a couple comments about it already, a heist room would be cool, I mean they'd have to park the teams cars on the shore but that isn't an issue, as for an MCT being added they would also have to park the sale vehicles on the shore, but they are already not always right outside where we are selling from so that's no big deal, and of course I also want a lower deck with a garage, kinda like the yacht from Test Drive Unlimited

Good question...idk. I can only think about cannibalism. From Trevor.

In the cutscene where he's planning the heist to the paleto bank, he takes some "preserved" food form the fridge and even offers Michael, and he says "do you want "some-food i can't remember the name"? It's ok, it's probably not even human. Michael refuses of course and then Trevor vomits it.

Also there's another character transition cutscen where Trevor vomits again and says "i will not eat indian again". "indian".

Yatchs and golden jet & heli was just a way of back in the day R* take away the ilicit money that most of the players gained from modders by dropping bags of money in their heads. :kekw: I remember entire sessions of players assemble in one play and here it goes...money rain. If they haven't done that they had to ban like 90% of the player-base. :cringekek:

The yatch could have a mechanic of trowing a npc party but then again...for what? You guys laugh, bonk and get cringe when i say "we should have dancing mini-game in the nightclubs and "wc visits", just like in TBOGT. Bcz if you can make a party with npc's in your penthouse (or eventually in the yatch) not being able to interact with them it's kinda stupid.

It's most likely referring to the 'molested!' sequence seen in the Righteous Slaughter 7 gameplay. And it was present in the PS4/XOne/PC version too even though it wasn't mentioned in the ESRB summary. Don't know about the current gen versions though.

Edit: It's in the current gen version too. You can see a glimpse of it in this video :prismkek:
