The Agency being a "celebrity solutions agency" is kinda Rockstar's way of introducing new gameplay on top of focusing heavily on music artists too.

All this stuff about "focusing on music artists" especially since After Hours, but people seem to forget R* made a whole game around Timbaland (Beaterator). :kekw: R* has always, always loved and focused on the music, so much they wanted their own nightclub in the 2000's, not to mention the massive deals they've always had with major music labels to get music in their games, and even artists as actors/radio hosts. I'll never understand all the surprise over GTA Online including IRL music artists.

That said I'd expect that to continue even into GTA VI, without hurting in any way the rest of the gameplay. The Contract was a very good story-centred DLC even if not everyone likes Dre or his music, and IMO it would be a missed chance if they didn't use that setup to do stuff with more artists such as Rosalía, or even someone they're signing with Circoloco Records. I would bet that VI is gonna have Fortnite-styled live sets and that The Music Locker and even the After Hours Night Clubs were kind of a test for that kind of social space.

The whole music artists stuff should just be a side-thing and not the focus/center of updates, I don't care how many unneccesary waste of space R* does with adding more music to GTA Online (even though Self Radio exists), just don't make some "random" music artist be the pedestal of an update, The Dre storyline was good but lacks replayability value besides just playing it with a new outfit to see how it looks in cutscenes (that's what I do :shillkek:).

And not gonna lie, Rosalia could have been put in the Cayo Perico update considering the setting it takes.

I never even considered this but this makes so much damn sense. Would’ve been nice to have the motomami station while on the island.

I gladly trade Rosalía appereance(if that happens) on next dlc for 30 garage slots.

If they care so much of music they should revisit after hours dlc and add more stuff to the nightclubs, i personally love mine, Iam always doing promos to keep the place alive and make lazlow happy, but the place still feels empty, they could add dancing feature like the music Locker one and more stuff like a place to do drink competition and things that tbogt had...

I think the main complain of people about music centered updates is that you have like a "quest" to do and that's it...it was a re-assed heist. That kind of content dries pretty fast. Not to mention that, 1st time, i can understand unskipable cutscenes bcz "let's give those real life celebrities a bit of respect for their mo-cap work, so we will not let people skip that", but after the 1st time...omg...just the fact that they have those unskipable cutscenes going on and that one from Dr. Dre studio takes real 4 or 5 minutes it's pretty boring and takes from you the will to replay those missions.

Also, let me say...whatever waters test was the personal nightclubs and Music Locker, looks like R* just toke from that "how not to do something" rather "this is it". Bcz the nightclubs failed miserably from my point of view...how many players do you really see there? It's always empty! Even when they added a better-yet-pretty-sh*tty mechanic of dancing that it's nothing more than press a button and see two characeters doing a repetitive motion where you can't interact, they don't even advertised that properly! I remember it was just a line in the R* newswire article like: "get a dance partner and have fun all night", well...that's just too abstract to understand that in fact you could get another player to interact in a new mechanic at the Music Locker and more evidences that would lead players into thinking that was just fancy words for marketing purposes was the fact that in a previous experience with personal nightclubs you couldn't do anything with other players. That's why i got very upset with the AH update when we thougth that this would be a DLC with stuff like TBOGT or even better, but no...no dance mini-game, no drinking mini-game, no horny wc vists and none nightclub security missions.

If they wanted the Music Locker not to fail that bad, they could for example, simply doing some kind of social events there, for example, in a certain week there would be a themed party, for example, npc's would dress neon outfits and if you would go there with a neon outfit too and danced for 10 minutes, you would get a new and free exclusive neon outfit.

If we think about, there's almost anything to do in free mode with other players. Golf is boring for most of the people, tenis is even a bit elitist than would seem at first, casino games are not pvp neither are the arcade games and people are asking for pool (a popular game) for so long and they still don't give us that...they prefer to add previous stuff like putting one or two arcade machine games in new properties like the Agency where it could bring a pool table instead, for example.

Hum...Rosalía it's not that much of a summer vibe thing, tbh. But i agree with you, this kind of VIP quest aka re-assed heist have almost zero of replayability and that's why the DLC felt dry pretty fast and we were in january already doing sigh noises for new content.

True, but do you think that could happen in this iteration of gta online right now? It feels like R* could create a special event with its own little session featuring an artist or group at some venue in Los Santos and it would work fortnite style.

Oh man, as much as I love owning a nightclub, I really wish they could've done more with it.  Customization ( other than the light rigs) should've not been on an equal level with the bunker.

I also wished they made  nightclub locations have different names like for example,  the palace should've been the del perro nightclub with the logo signage outside. I say this because R*  went all the effort to designing these logos and have varying recorded voicelines for the nightclub name we chose.

Then they would need to do some security measures in that area, if not, wouldn't take too much time for some opressor mk II or orbital canon blow everything up. :prismkek:

But it is what it is...people just don't know how to behave there...i remember when the casino opened and the sh*t it was with people just taking over the roof "spa lounge" to snipe people in the street and then 4-5 starts police in that should-have-been-peaceful-and-relaxing-area.

Depends on how they implement it, I can't see them making major changes like this in the current version of GTAO when they're probably deep into GTA VI/GTAO 2(?) development.

Wow The HSW cars are an absolute nightmare to drive in stunt races. They're way too fast to be raced on them. You never know where and when to reduce your speed before the jumps. If you don't, there's a chance that you'll either overshoot the checkpoint or go right off the track. At that point, it eventually becomes a guessing game. Super annoying.

I guess it's better to just have them disabled, to be honest. It's not worth the hassle.

I pray that R* does not make the mistake of making any & all future antagonists the same case as Johnny Guns - bigging up someone that our character doesn't know, has no history with, has no direct reason to go against them other than getting paid by a client to capture/kill them, who has no presence until the very end of the story and being no real threat other than one pretty nice re-designed interior full of hired guns.

Right now, R* could make some kind of epilogue/sequel for Thornton Duggan, (who hired us in The Contract so maybe not), Cliffford (who I suggested having a AI-Car Attack Event this Halloween) or El Rubio and seeing as they'll happily let players start doing a DLC storyline without doing the obvious and intentionally designed Part 1 of a story (Casino Story / Casino Heist), the only reason not to give El Rubio some kind of sequel where he goes to war against us in Los Santos is the Globalpol reason that has him personally lore-locked to remaining in Cayo Perico - unless we deal with his armies in LS which results in a massive boss fight finale where we go back to Cayo, utterly destroy his forces beyond just an Aggressive Cayo Heist while leaving him alive so we still have someone to rob.

Personally I'd love to see a 3-Act Storyline, like Doomsday but 100% solo-able and not a single one-time only cutscene anywhere, where we go up against "CEO Scarface", first as an ambigious chap we meet and learn to know, then he becomes an overt antagonist to our operation at the end of Act 1/start of Act 2, have him be the ultimate "GTA Online Player", he's got all the Imani Tech, a fleet of Luxor Deluxes, all the businesses with an automatic delivery button at no penalty cost - and have him be the biggest richest bastard in how he'll eliminate any competition by any means without a second thought but have him be so charmingly hateable you can't wait to eliminate this prick. This is where R* could learn from a page from Saints Row; have cutscenes that show this guy from his point of view - where our characters aren't even present, where this guy is in his realm so we get to see all angles of his character, not just a few seconds mid-mission before we kill him with no ceremony like any other enemy.

They can claim it's a live event, but have everything prerecorded beforehand. Like Dr Dre performing at Record A Studios.

Because it's unlikely that Rockstar would ever do a "Fortnite" style of live event in GTAO. Epic Games managed to do that thanks to their engine team behind Unreal Engine. They spent their time scripting all the elements that comes into play. And the fact that the game receives frequent updates pretty much monthly. Plus a ton of developers had to be at the right time and place to record all that live.

GTAV, on the other hand, doesn't receive much updates at a similar rate to Fortnite. Having a ton of developers on standby for a live event in GTA Online is likely not worth the effort and time that could have went into other projects like GTA VI. Keep in mind, Rockstar did change how the game loads the DJ tracks from within an offline version of a user-generated file much like Contact Missions hosted within the cloud. But even if we end up receiving an online version of that. It would hardly allow them to do much other than selecting what set of tracks should be selected and other minor benefits. Nothing major such as motion capture in real time like Travis Scott event in Fortnite.

Not really, the Franklin/Lamar story was where it was at. Well that and the Families/Ballas teaming up, that mission was dope. Rest was forgettable with the worst ending of all Online content to date. Just whack a guy with a golf club, don't beat the sh*t out of him or cap him... just slap him and let him go. That was bullsh*t

Yeah - I get the feeling that the problem with doing it in GTA V's Online is that the functionality wasn't built into the map from the get-go, along with the game generally not being great when it comes to adding new functionality to older gameplay structures. Look at how they've had to add business hubs for other business hubs to run your businesses (like nesting dolls, lol) - or how, instead of adding new DJs to the existing nightclubs, they had to ...add an all-new nightclub. :p

I imagine a scenario where GTA VI's map has a music venue that works like GTA IV's comedy club, with real-life performers doing pre-recorded, fully-animated shows (see also: the cabaret acts at the theatre in RDR2) - but unlike RDR2's theatre (where you ...just can't watch any of that in RDO - more's the pity!), it'll be designed from the get-go to allow more performances to get added to VI's GTAO, as part of GTAO updates. Obviously not on the level or frequency of Fortnite, like Fun pointed out, but comparable to how we got the Music Locker with Cayo Perico, and then the recording session during The Contract a year later - I think saving it for the larger updates on a once-a-year-tops basis would keep the novelty factor, as well as keep things manageable in terms of getting deals signed, doing performance capture sessions, etc.

I'm still an apologist of gta online getting more classic bussinesses. There's a lot of potencial still in the city, even when people say that a lot of places are already being crowded. For example, i would like to be able to manage a motel. I think it would be a fun bussiness. Not forgetting a food-chain bussiness, get into vinewood industry, etc. More "down to earth" bussinesses that exist already in the open world but just for the looks, rather come up with a VIP Agency that was made from scratch (nothing against it though).

Since when did the waves start showing up on this part of the track (H200)? Happened to me twice in this race and slowed me down quite a bit.

dzSqXjC.gif

This also begs the question: were the waves meant to even show up on the track in the first place? Was this a design flaw? Was the track created too close to the ocean?

Also got that 250k, granted i sold bunker but not as associate which is a requirement for award, they either mess this up or they missed to mention that players who sell their own stock are eligible for reward. But you said you hadn't done any of it so they are probably giving it randomly.
