Fire, fire fixes everything. Lost members, unethical scientists, "innocent" bystanders that won't think twice about splattering you with their car and scream, "My wheels my motherf*cking wheels!".

That's been the theme with every update for a long time, just increase the accuracy and health of enemies and call it a day. Petty cure we are in the ninety percent levels of accuracy area now. I don't know if it's supposed to be a joke or whatever but the fact that Bikers in tank tops can now take a shotgun blast to the chest and get back up is stupid.

Yep, look at this sh*t. Close range to the heart with the 'one shot kill' Perico Pistol and he's fine.

Stupid phone wouldn't come up earlier for some reason. The up button works, even scrolling through game menus but it wouldn't pull up my phone.

The worst part about the gang termination bug is that you see the 250rp popup when you "indirectly" kill a target via explosion but the dumb game won't give you kill credit.

Ive been closing in on my $100m target. Got to about $400 short but was getting tired, no problem Ill do it tomorrow. Kill a few NPCs, and bank the cash. Then I realise Im at 100,100,000. Where did that £100k come from I kept asking. Then it hit me.

'$100,000 has been deposited to your account'

Is having $100m in this game a bitch and moan now? 😆

Pursuit series for the prize ride? Haha why is it always the worst modes, yeah sure Rockstar let's take your p2p garbage netcode for races AND introduce traffic and cops into the mix so if it lags then I'm sure to have a bad time. And not only that but there are like 20 different racing modes and it's always street series (it's fine but nothing special, know all the tracks and I'm bored of it) or pursuit series, a mode that nobody likes because it's terribly executed.

It's pretty hilarious for racing too. Spec it up to max performance and max armour & rammers just bounce off it, had some tit in a Wagner try and ram me last night and he just bounced straight off me and off the side of the track. 😂🤣😂 It's pretty quick too, as long as you can learn to compensate for the poor handling as it tends to get a bit sideways into corners, I was beating Kriegers after a few races.
...plus in GTA races it keeps the machine guns and proxy mines.

It's weird how in some missions in this DLC you can kill NPCs and in others you can't. You can shoot and kill them on the yacht mission. (Had to do this because their cries were so annoying the first time I played the mission and couldn't find the evidence.) Auto-aim even targets them in the casino finale mission, which has led to a few of my deaths. I don't know why the cleaning crew working for a millionaire are extendible but the ones working for a gang in a night club are not. Is this R* making a statement about class warfare???

Also, the DJ in the casino finale mission stands still at each of the exits and leaves when you get close. He is also non-killable. Shot him and hit him with rockets. I was hoping it was a way to encourage you to take risks and fight through the penthouse quickly to kill him at the elevator, but no it's just a way to add "realism" and not just have him teleport to the Music Locker.

You can always throw some explosives near them, they will die from it but they have weird death ragdoll physics.

Hmmm, I find myself oddly torn. On the one hand, yay because f*ck rammers; on the other, boo because once this catches on GTA races will become Battle of the Imani Tech. The slick mines alone are game-changers in that regard (which is something, I guess, because they're pretty f*cking useless otherwise - NPCs seem to just ignore them).

Perhaps this is why R* made the Champion so slow... then again the Buffalo STX has rendered the rest of the Muscle class obsolete so who knows what the hell R*'s intentions are.

While I'm on the Buffalo STX, thanks a bunch to R* for making the Bravado Stripe Alt livery a shade of red that doesn't quite match any other shade of red. Closest I can get is Torino Red, which you can't put on rims, so I've got an OCD-triggering Frankenstein paintjob instead of what would have been a pretty sweet livery/paint combo. I wish R* would put as much effort into making things awesome as they put into making things suck.

I really hate posting twice in a row, makes me feel like instead of complaining I should take the hint and go play something else.

So this is something that has plagued me for years - why are randoms utterly incapable of learning from mistakes? For example,  I just joined a Lost Contract. Host is rank 268, so how bad could he possibly be, right? Well, he launches with just the two of us, so there's that.

Anyway, we get to Stab City. Host plows the truck in and gets liquified. Respawns, charges into an ocean of Lost and gets liquified. I eat a sticky (did I mention we're on Sharpshooter loadout?) because I'll be f*cked if I'm finishing someone else's gig solo. Restart. Host plows the truck in and gets liquified. Respawns, charges into an ocean of Lost and gets liquified. I eat a sticky. Restart. Host plows the truck in and gets liquified. Respawns, charges into an ocean of Lost, kills them all and we win. Just kidding - of course, he gets liquified. I quit at that point - I gave him a chance to learn & adapt, but I'm not sitting here all day waiting for him to figure out that bullets hurt.

Like, literally makes the exact same mistake not once, not twice, but six f*cking times. I'm not expecting anyone to be an instant expert on everything, and that particular mission is quite unforgiving, but for mother f*ck's sake does it not occur to people to take cover and be cautious after running in got you absolutely annihilated last time?

And this is just par for the course. I see it everytime I do anything with randoms - idiot move after idiot move, again and again and again. They just don't learn. No matter what underhanded crap R* pulls with this game they'll never be as intensely frustrating as the roughly 95% of the playerbase who are dumber than my last sh*t. It's like they have an aversion to success and money...

I don't understand how failure after failure after failure doesn't inspire them to either get better or go do something they can handle, like fingerpainting or identifying shapes or learning to pee in the big boy toilet.

You know how other games have ranked matchmaking? I want that for GTA. Let me play only with people who know what they're doing instead of having to watch babies run into traffic.

Yeah, try to get matching clothes in red, see how that goes. There are like 50 different shades of the color and only one (lobster) that you can make a pair of (pants, ugly jacket and a bowler hat). And it's still too pinkish for what I was intending. :sui:

Quoting you but an open question - how does the option to find 'skilled matched players' in a lobby actually work?

Matches your actual skills, ie Strength, Shooting, Stamina, etc.

Trouble is that those skills are easy enough to boost, so they aren't really a good indicator of experience and in any case don't make a huge difference in how a given player will perform. Shooting determines how much ammo you can carry, as for the rest it's a much of a muchness.

On top of that, the "Skill Matched Players" option is a Host option, so if you're just joining random jobs then it's out of your hands - you just get thrown in with whoever. In my case, it seems to be that "whoever" are almost exclusively rank beginners and/or the stupidest motherf*ckers to ever walk the earth.

A true ranked matchmaker would put me in with people who were around my experience level, or at least above a certain cap. If I could join heists crewed by exclusively r500+ players, I know I'd have a better time. Oh, I know that ranks don't automatically equal talent or knowledge of a given job, but the odds are way higher that this isn't their first rodeo and they'll at the very least have basic things like map knowledge or combat in their skillset.

You just get tired of watching people get lost as soon as there's no GPS, or getting instakilled in fights because they refuse to take cover, or blundering in front of cameras, or taking 2+ minutes to hack doors in the vault, or start f*cking around the second there's any downtime whatsoever (eg they're a passenger in a car and start shooting every passing NPC, making traffic go crazy and making the driver's job a pain) or any of the hundred acts of pure stupidity that randoms pull to fail heists. High ranks tend not to do those things.

Holy sh*t dude you totally reminded me of IV’s ranked modes. They could have totally copy-pasted that code for V !!! I mean it wasn’t perfect, but it was something.

Man, the absolute glory of playing with actual competent people of my rank / KD / stat level and not a whole crew of double digit ranked reddit players eager to kick the second I join, I can but only dream of such perfection.

This reminded me about something in those days when I played with random players much more often than now. There was a moment where I played Doomsday heist with random players whose rank was much higher than mine yet they constantly made the same stupid mistake, they tried to defeat enemies in terminator style which always lead to the same result - failure.  Yet, that didn't stop them from thinking that they're so professional players without which it's impossible to earn money in the game. Yeah, right! Turns out that I'm doing much better without them than I was with them.

It would be nice if such players would understand that if they aren't good at doing certain missions, then they shouldn't do them, at least not at the expense of other player's free time!

About red, the best is still the car paint being a supposedly 'blood red' (with french text at least) but is in reality so dark it's black.

I expected the color of fresh blood, it's a beautiful red unlike that thing.

Honestly im not even getting my hopes up, they just asked me for the same details that i've already provided several times now, i really doubt asking Steam Support for these details again is somehow going to produce even more conclusive evidence? 🤷‍♂️

I finally got a tier 2 response yesterday for the visual rank up bug. Go figure. Said the evidence I’d provided had been sent up the chain to the relevant department so now it’s just a waiting game for me whenever the patch for The Contract plethora of bugs evidently gets pushed out.

I really hope you get it back. If i were in your shoes I’d probably feel the same way. I kinda wondered how I could showcase my achievement in GTAO if something ever happened to my account like yours has, that way I could at least have a momento for ‘time served’ so to speak, even if I lost everything. I will lose everything at some point, there’s no denying that. I think the level of importance weighs greatly on the individual, and worst case scenario, you can just get boosted or a recovery service? Only you would know, but in the same vein it’s not the account you made so again it’s all down to whether these things are important to you. It’s not always the goal, it’s the journey too, right? The experiences you had.

Why do our characters still move so damn slow and sluggishly when we're inside buildings? Even in combat situations. Probably one of the worst parts of this game.
