Then I'm notified that paying through the preps will disable the stat awards, which actually award extra money, so why even bother as a first time player? The lesson to be learned here is that unlike almost everything else in GTAO, even with friends, the Doomsday Heist is just not fun by design and not worth it. I will remember this in the future.

Preps aren't that hard. Again you CAN'T lock onto Preps so MK II's aren't an issue. Totally worth paying for Deluxo prep though if you're by yourself or only got one friend cause that drive from Los Santos to your facility? Yikes! Bad enough driving to Zancudo river, can only imagine driving four to Paleto Bay while at the mercy of jets!

Setups are the annoying part, act one is more manageable so that's why I chose it to receive my livery unlock. Act 2 and 3 are full of super terminator AI that can destroy you even if you have full health/armor! Act 2 finale is easy, it's just getting there that's a stressful pain. It ain't fun and that's why I never help people do it anymore, I play the game for fun. I enjoy the OG Heists(Outside of Deliver EMP) so I help players whenever I feel the need arise or like this past week spent most my free time helping.

Rockstar milking GTA too much is a problem for me. I can't ignore the fact that no matter how much Rockstar improve the Newswire and enhance their game, they're still churning out the same old content year after year.

 

So, what? Updated GtA games with refreshed graphics dating back decades (no thanks); age-old heists being marketed for a month, and an E&E version of the same old map coming next spring.

 

It's like a group of corporates saying, sod the spongers who have been playing our games for decades, let's milk old content and try and get new and paying customers onboard.

 

I don't want any of that old stuff anymore, including revamped GTA 5 and previous content.

 

Can Rockstar move forward, please, and acknowledge its existing fanbase with NEW content, new map expansions and NEW games!

I am beginning to wonder if they can or ever will. Repeatedly milking GTA5/Online dry and now re-releasing the trilogy with no new product in an inordinate amount of time, coupled with the reports that so many devs and "original GTA guys" have left the company makes me wonder if they are even capable of replicating another game of the same quality. COuld it be that they know this so are just spinning it out for as long as they can to wring as much money from what they have already put out. Will there ever be a GTA6 & if it does get released is it going to be a monumental flop?

Yes, it's excruciating. The only way I ever played doomsday was do all preps first in solo public, then make an invite-only session, and do all the setups and the finale from there. That was before Cayo of course.

But apparently, the all-in-order challenge (and loyalty/CMM) don't allow that, you have to do (prep+setup) for each one.

Even if you make an invite-only session for each setup after the prep, you still need another public for the next prep.

The Doomsday awards are also the only heist-related awards that require the use of a public session, so Rockstar must have realized the error of their way, since Casino and Cayo don't require public sessions.

Finally did the doomsday heist last last night in order with same crew( Huge shout-out to you guys I did it with) OMG that was intense. The relief and excitement at the end. Up till 4 AM. I seriously almost cried at the end. But apparently R* dropped the ball on the trilogy. I did not buy it yet as I am waiting to see 3 on PS now before I take the gamble, but again it seems they goofed. Reviews say it's a sh*t show, so I wasted 20 bucks on gold in RDO so I could/ so I thought start to enjoy that. Nope. Being a naturalist apparently makes animals stop spawning. R* is so f*cked. My favorite developer is a flaming dumpster fire and I have nothing to look forward to anymore. Games suck, life sucks. My boy Kyle is likely going to prison, hell I am likely going to jail soon too. Now I have done everything GTA has to offer that I am interested in. Collecting digital cars is all i do now. Life seems over. I just woke up today feeling emptier than ever...

Whoever designed cayo island and the stealth in the setups, please do everyone a favor and suck start a shotgun. If I knew who you were and where you live I would with great pleasure help by pulling the trigger. I don't wish death on many, but whoever designed this gay ass sh*t is an absolute waste of perfect oxygen. If you're out there and you somehow read this I hope you get lung cancer and suffocate on your own bullsh*t. Not at all in the mood today and that set up just royally pissed me the f*ck off.

For most randoms, I guess it's their inability to think in more than 1 dimension. Not to mention the hoverbikes that made real flying obsolete in GTA Online.

 

I even know someone who won't play the Cayo Perico heist solo just because he can't fly.

I met him on a casino heist Silent & Sneaky, he was the best stealth player I ever met in GTA Online, but he couldn't fly to save his life.

He was so bad at flying, he had to hire other people just to fly the plane on his Cayo Perico scope.

Why do we even start in the helicopter to begin with? Our personal vehicles actually spawn outside the apartment at the start, yet we're forced to fly. I don't get it.

Must confess I have some sort of mental block when it comes to flying planes, I am fine pottering about using the bumpers to turn one way or the other keeping the plane upright but as soon as the plane banks too much or goes upside down I totally lose all perspective and crash. It's definitely "me", my brain just can't process the physics or something. I can barely manage wall rides or multiple small loops in car races too for the same reason.

Interesting. I had this exact problem in GTA San Andreas using 3rd person camera, so I was always flying in cockpit view. Would be nice if that game had an option for the camera to be static (always flat with horizon) or rotate with your vehicle.

it sound's similar to the business crate battle bug that i still get sometimes when i deliver a crate to my night club and i enter the yellow corona, and nothing happens.

We're not forced. It's an option the host can change. The flying way is the standard setting, but you can also set it too 'on foot' if you want to. I guess most hosts miss that you can change it.

You can choose to start on foot but 99% of the times random hosts decide to start off with a helicopter with them flying

I had the same problem, and the issue I had was using the right stick too much. It changes your view which makes the left stick direction different and then you get out of control. Try easing off on it, it takes a little getting used too. Also, be very gentle with the controls.

Man this game is so great, I've been playing since xbox 360 (now on pc). But Its becoming more and more tempting to just quit it and wait 10 years for gtaVI.
