I don't know what Rockstar did in their recent updates but the amount of NPC glitching I have seen lately is ridiculous. NPC cars sliding horizontally down the highway, last night I saw one floating about 3 feet off the ground and literally float over a side rail. We were running the vehicle mission with the ramp dune buggies and my friend drove through a police barricade but the police cars didn't flip over at all. It was like he phased through them.

Since when did it become a thing for random NPCs on the street to start attacking you when you're in the middle of a gang fight, be it on foot or behind the wheel?

It's been around for a long while. Since 2016 I believe. Long story short some lobbies will spawn gang members as the most numerous NPC in cars and whatnot.

The hell happened to drones? Every single time I try to use Arcade drone it freezes my character, it forces me to restart the game.

Also sometimes the nano drones glitchy too. One time I was fighting against griefers in full lobby and when I take out nano drone my character froze. On top of that bullsh*t, it somehow made me invincible for a minute so they would've thought I'm a Godmode loser..

Like everything else in this game they're heavily bugged. I've given up on them.

tryhards can be so annoying, early this morning i was in a lobby and there was a random event where you needed to deliver a car to your mc club.

a random player found it first, i managed to kill him, then a couple more players attacked and killed me.

i ended up losing the event but for the next hour or two all three of them kept following me (i was in passive) and they wouldn't leave me alone.

they even followed me to my yacht (i had my defensive mode on and access set to no one except friends).

i did eventually change sessions.

A random cayo perico heist just made me lose all my Smg mk2 ammo. When I spawned into freemode I tried attacking a player with the same weapon I knew SHOULD HAVE AMMO. And for 5-10 seconds Im like what the f*ck is wrong with this weapon??? I get ripped up nearly to death, take cover so I have a chance to look and see that sh*t says Zero ammunition. Literally 2 minutes ago it was 220/20. By the time I get a new weapon in my hands im dead!

There is a possible way to fix this.

"Go to ammunation and fill up your ammo. Afterwards go to a gunlocker (arcade one works best from my experience) and hide all guns that use the affected ammotype. Switch your outfit to force a save, the leave online to storymode to force another save. When in storymode, shut your game of completly and restart it. Head to storymode, head to online, get your guns out of the gunlocker (i suggest the same one) and switch your outfit.

Your ammo should stick now."

If you are lucky the game might even glitch out and refill your ammo for free every time you switch sessions for the next couple of weeks. So you might even get your lost cash back in a way.

Be aware this was only tested with regular ammo so if its special ammo it might not work.

This is likely not the game at all, but lag. If you especially (or only) notice it when playing with a friend, one of you has a slow connection. What's happening is that the game's peer-to-peer setup means that his console is "hosting" the NPC vehicles, and the slow connection speed between you two makes them drift around and defy physics, as your console constantly interprets where they are and how they got there. Similar deal with your friend phasing through cars; he probably went around them or ran through a small gap, but due to lag, your console only knew that he was on one side and then the other, and interpreted that as him being an incorporeal ghost. You might also see times where he appears to crash, then teleports down the road and is fine--different symptoms, same cause.

 

I've seen this stuff a lot playing with a specific friend, and never see it playing solo.

i noticed this last night, while i was on my yacht i turned off defensive mode and i went in passive (because i don't want to get shot down) and i got into my helicopter (it's not a weaponized vehicle).

and the game turns off my passive mode?
