did rockstar remove criminal damage?

even though i stopped playing for about a month, even before that i haven't seen the criminal damage event appear and it was the best one.

Got suckered by an invisible blip / God-mode f*ckwit doing a Piracy Prevention. I should have known better really. How much of a loser do you have to be to cheat at a videogame like that man? lol

 

I reported him anyway, for all the good it will do. Don't often see that on console to be fair.

Rockstar vaulting unpopular adversary modes is fine but why parachuting and sea races? They've been available in GTAO since launch back in 2013 ... and then making it a point in the newswire that they're back for a limited time so you can earn a trophy/achievement! WTF - should have just left them in

 

I can only imagine during the Spring/early Summer DLC drought ... we bringing NEW content ... parachuting! That will feel like a slap in the face when we usually have 7-8 months of no communication. For what its worth, at least the E&E release will fill 2022's drought 😒

Why make 3x at all if you aren’t gonna put the featured jobs into the vote pool? Why even have or keep all these different jobs if you aren’t going to promote them properly? That whole voting screen is ass; 2 refreshes only? What if folks want something specific, they have to back out to free mode? Not very user friendly is it? Even a larger array of squares with a variety of jobs on them would work wonders. Instead it’s these rank 80 to rank 200 players voting for the same 2 year old repetitive content and wonder why they aren’t earning enough. SMH.

 

Thankfully you can call the contact and they'll give you a random contact mission to do. Oh. Wait. You can't call Lamar for a random contact mission. All he can do is get a mugger or rest his series of lowrider missions. Why the hell can't I just create a playlist with these missions?!

You can, from your "recently played jobs" list in playlist creator.

 

My Land Race week B&M f*ck lamposts in this game they weigh 9 tons are made of adamantium and even in non-contact if the f*cker in front hits one it's you that's gonna eat it.

So I haven't played in a while and while it was always "normal" for plane engines to shut off from braking too hard (which is already stupid in itself) now they won't turn back on at all unless landed, which is often difficult considering that this usually happens in the heat of battle or intense aerobatics. Also I can no longer access classic missions when making playlists (ls connection, titan of a job) its all the dumb gimmicky crap like deadline or bomb ball and nothing else. My best guess is that C* is purging the fun, relatively easy missions and nerfing vehicles to make money harder to earn.

Its the same kind of loser that is doing the current  Orbital Cannon glitch and hitting everyone in the lobby , reported that asswipe too, not that it matters.

 

Edit, learned that hiding under a highway bridge doenst protect you , I thought it did, welp TIL

Yes, because I'm worst skilled player ever if my opponent is sitting in their auto shop after destroying my car for no reason and using a job teleport to fast travel to their auto shop.

Jesus, checking this thread is painful. It's 2021 and people are actually speculating about mansions in GTAO that is more than 8 years old. Will this thing die already? First tuners, that were actually in demand in 2016 and now mansions. R* somehow coughed up an island we can't properly visit, the idea that was polished two Forza Horizon games ago, now we're talking mansions again.

Apparently you can get tuner contracts in contact missions voting screens now. And obviously it puts you into endless loading screen. f*ck them for cluttering  that voting  with dispatch/repo/last play garbage, f*ck for adding in casino missions which put you into freeroam afterwards. And now this.

Yes its still not solved, you get sucked in bugged jobs from invite or from QuickJobs even.

I don't often play with peoples, most of the time I play a bit my VIP jobs and some custom survivals then a I log out because I'm bored. Anyway there isn't much incentive to play missions with peoples unless you consider some are locked to +2 players, but I can lag out anyway those missions and play them solo.

Mate, you really should learn to be less hostile with people and be reasonable. You know as much as anyone that the game brings new players each week. People turn 18 all the time, and R* do everything to appeal to new players. You know that's their only goal in all this, lol. There's no harm in folk wanting the things that have achievements attached to remain, especially when there's a sh*t ton of other content that can be benched.

 

Regardless, people do play this stuff, I know I enjoy parachuting still. But I don't get why you're so vicious towards people on here, it's getting old and there really is no point. Best way to stop being so offended by this is just not read these comments. Simple.

The Biggest issue is the Reward of Time Spent with a lot of these jobs. Vaulting some of them makes sense (Do we dare speak of that one "Extraction" map with spawns that allow the assassions to kill the V.I.P off spawn? Among other broken PvP modes?), while Vaulting other jobs is just pure greed and laziness. The actual solution to the very low player traffic jobs is to increase the rewards for time played by a factor of at least 2.5, if not 3x outright. Vault the ones that have major flaws in game design and rework them for a readd at a later job rotation. Basically R* did a R* thing with this, but unlike with the stubborn 360/PS3 players and "Muh GTA6ers", R* actually did do something wrong here, it's just that it was extremely retarded even without hindsight given there were better solutions (Never mind the fact they broke GTAO with Daily Objectives lmao)

Really like 95% of the content of gtao is never played. Probably because they have over 1000 gamemodes and only a handful have payouts that people care more about than fun.

More like they aren't in touch of what the playerbase wanted.

NOBODY wanted this PvP, you see the poor ratings? That's not just dislikes, that's from people QUITTING upon seeing how bullsh*t it is. Like that newest Crapversary mode, I've always sucked it up and finished the mode before quitting but this time I went 'Yeah no, this f*cking sucks. They clearly didn't playtest this' before loading back into freemode.

 

Racing at least keeps a following, there's people that legitimately play Stunt Races and Contact Missions on a daily basis. And you can typically still do Heist Setups/Heists themselves(assuming you join, don't host unless you're still doing them! I help people out with PB Plane daily and I love it, I know there are others like me cause I've met fellow high levels helping low levels with their own Toreador or Vigilante)

Deathmatches died out apart from $$$$$$$$ RP scams back in 2013, the fanbase isn't the same as COD

Captures... that died out so bad that until they changed how Daily Objectives work, NOBODY even touched it! You could literally sit there for HOURS waiting for just one person, the only thing you need to start, to f*cking join! (Thank f*ck they made that change. You basically had to AFK the whole time too cause if you were kicking the other guy's ass and he rage quit? Head back to start, don't collect $200)

Sea Races are B-O-R-I-N-G. And Parachuting is fun but restrictive, much better doing stunts in freeroam. Early on in GTA's life, I'd use the mode to 'teleport' but now you have Heists and Doomsday for that and can literally have a spawn point in nearly every corner of the map if you desire! Those modes DESERVED to go and R* has no obligation to changing the achievement, achievements do lose their availability just look at GTA IV and RDR 1. Almost impossible to obtain most the Online achievements in those games now, people moved on. Back in 2013 those modes were active but there's not a player base for them, they needed to go. It was past their time. You had eight years, that is FAR more than those games have and literally anyone fighting against this decision has to admit that.

 

Them removing 85% of Crapversary is proof that nobody wanted that sh*t(And be honest that list NEEDED culling, just try and start something yourself with the old list. Go on. It takes about two minutes to scroll through that f*cking thing. I know cause I've done it MANY times to try out new modes as the game LOVES not sending me the invite to the new modes!)

 

And honestly, would ANYONE shed a tear if they just scrapped Arena War and made all those vehicles available?(Well I know sweats would complain but they're in the minority).

 

I think the only PvE mode that 'died' was Lamar's Lowriders but those were POORLY designed and had an awful payout. GTA is not the only game to cull unplayed sh*t, Fallout 76 axed Nuclear Winter for instance. And people legitimately have a fear that RDO will just die for some reason(Despite GTA IV and RDR 1 STILL existing!)

 

It's the same reason they're dropping Last Gen. And I fully believe that this achievement will NOT be a legacy that you can only get if you transfer a character who has it, they could be updating it for NG and REMOVE Sea Race and Parachuting from the requirement. NG did add the "First Person" achievement so I expect some changes to the achievements

Yeah, I do agree too many look at payouts to dictate weather they play a mode or not. Would be nice if things were played for fun rather than money, but that's a wider issue with the game although since the likes of the Cayo heist, people have now got a way to bank plenty and just enjoy other modes for the sake of it.

 

But as for broken stuff or poorly balanced things, totally agree they could bench those and tweak them. Unfortunately R* isn't in the habit of redoing things to make them better. Bit of a shame.

I don't disagree with all of what you say, just feel you should work on being a bit more respectful, not just in here/on this topic. You don't need to attack people that like different things. But anyway, I said my peace on that.

 

I agree hosting some these modes can be hard work, but joining on call for much of it is just fine. DM's, LTS' etc, all easy to find on call. And hosting heists is a doddle still to get players. Though as you said about GTA IV/RDR1, those achievements can still be gotten, not impossible, at worst join a boosting crew from the websites that are all about trophies or even here which both games have a following. But I do generally agree that the majority that would have wanted them would have sought to get them long ago, but here in GTA:O it doesn't matter that it's 8 years old, it's the active/heavily promoted game that R* push. They push it like it's a new game to draw new folk, and they should be able to get a fair crack at things I feel. The old games like GRA IV/RDR aren't being promoted as active do people should expect them to be tougher/closed off etc. GTA:O is far from there yet.

 

But regarding the arena, that's always got people playing it. I never struggle. But I get it, some don't like it so think it's dead, but it's far from it. I love the idea, it's not perfect but nothing is in GTA really, but that arena is a blast and always active. But much like how many don't like GTA:O itself and think it's a dead game too, lol. That's always been the misunderstanding, same with RDRO no matter how poorly it looks, R* know it's thriving (even with so little being added in that game. At least GTA gets stuff, lol).

 

Anyway, there's no point in going round in circles, I agree with some, strongly disagree with other aspects. *shrugs*
